  1. sorry RANDY, ive got parts arriving for my car this week so i'll probably be putting it all back together on the weekend. sorry mate, i might go check that moorbank place out though.. im from bankstown so its not far for me.
  2. especially on WOT. the car gets pretty greasy with fuel coming out of the exhaust. its pretty crappily tuned, i wouldnt have a clue how to do it.
  3. $100 for 1 sleave is still pretty good. is it possible to resleave just 1 bore or do you have to get all of them done?
  4. randy, feel like giving my car a tune up? it usues up way too much fuel.
  5. it'd definately help if you had some pics.
  6. mine uses up too much petrol. is there a reason for this? is there any way to adjust it?
  7. heres a pic of my drifting efforts today, my mates got a video but i wouldnt have a clue on how to post it or if its even an .mpeg (i think its a 3gp file because it was taken with his phone).
  8. put me down as CONFIRMED
  9. i just did the whole pvc over the wheels trick.. and ive got 4 words... FU KEN CRA ZY i need more fuel!
  10. yeah, i was about to close this thread off, turns out that the damage is minimal. i was worrying over nothing. its getting a light hone then the clearances will be measured and if all is well ill be putting it back together. if not ill just go for a set of forgies.
  11. sexy car dude, congrats! before i got the skyline i was about to fork out 30k for an xr6 turbo.. looking at that makes me wonder what could've been!
  12. well we've just had a look at it, seems the damage is high enough and isnt deep so a light hone will be fine. the bottom ring will never come in contact with the scratch, and after the hone it wont be there, it isnt as bad as i thought. if the guys with my parts stop screwing me around then ill have it up and running in a week.
  13. yep. i decided going that route this morning, my brother in law is on his way to see wether we'll use my block or buy a new one. i was just chasing options.
  14. yeah i think i might just go with a new block. i googled resleave and i found someone saying it costs $800. and apparently not many people in aus have the tools/resources to be able to do a 100% job.
  15. ill try find the magazine and see what it says. it might've been an old mag
  16. i bought a nitro car from hobbyco around a month ago.. i got the one with the wrx shell though its got a 15 size nitro engine and its pretty quick.. ive always wanted to see it drift though... mines a bit dirty, i took it through a dirty road to see it do some sliding. it went sideways into a gutter and broke the bracket for the exhaust. ive got a cable tie holding it in place till i make another one.
  17. bump
  18. thanks Duncan pm replied mate.
  19. actually.. it doesnt matter if its bare, as long as the bores are fine and the price is right
  20. does anyone know someone in sydney?
  21. ahh ok, im not really a hardcore fan so i wouldnt have a clue! i just remembered reading it somewhere.
  22. does anyone know the costs involved in doing this? and if there are any shops who do it? thanks guys
