  1. you legend! do you have any pics of it with the front bar off? i just want it to be perfect.
  2. hey guys, soon ill be installing my fmic. the piping isnt an issue, i just need to know how to mount the cooler onto the car. some have said i have to bolt it onto the reinforcement but i was under the impression that it was meant to be mounted on brackets supporting it from underneath. can anyone help me out?
  3. customs will not look at it as it is a small package. and most of the time you can get them already delivered to aus. which means 3 days, and $20 postage. plus if they're used they go for around $350.
  4. im pretty sure the safc2 fixes this problem
  5. im doing some research on a 5" cat. i read somewhere that they add a decent amount of kW. im not too sure about running no cat or muffler. sorry mate.
  6. Racebraks make a pad called the RB74. i hear they are better than the Bendix ones. not too sure who stocks them, but when i need new breaks im getting a pair of them.
  7. i asked a few exhaust places to mount it only, as im buying aluminium piping elsewhere, and the quotes were around the 60-80 mark.

  9. the guy that sprayed my car charged me 2500, but ive brought him in over 40k worth of other work. he fixed some damage (rear right panel, bonnet, and straightening of the whole body) he also sprayed my intercooler piping and my windscreen wipers.. he sprayed inside the boot and under the bonnet too, but not the engine bay.
  10. the guy i took my car to, to respray it was pretty cheap. where in sydney are you? it also helps that your car is white. much cheaper
  11. how big is the damage? can you get a picture for me?
  12. 1800 is a bit high for a "normal" warming up cycle. maybe your AAC valve?
  13. hey guys.. someone mentioned using a dremil drill to sand away a light layer of the inside of the coil away, i did this 4 weeks ago and i havent gotten a miss since. the car feels brand new! it seems as the problem was a crappy connection between the coil and the spring. im going to re-gap my spark plugs to around 1.0 or 1.1 and maybe scavenge some more kw.
  14. clean your coils, tape them up. theres a thread on how to do this. if you want to replace your coils then go to a wrecker.. rb26 coils are interchangeable with rb20 ones i believe.
  15. well it could be alot of things... your gearbox could well be on its way to being officially rooted.. or you might just need a gearbox oil change. my car did that, i changed the oil and now its fine.. definately eased up on the gear changes too.
  16. yeah.. im going to be doing some engine work, including a manual conversion, so ill get the pfc then. but for now i just want it to stop munching fuel and give me a little more power.
  17. yeah i guess ill have to turn down the boost a bit. ill be getting an safc soon then. thanks
  18. sorry.. std turbo, 12psi, 3" turbo back, and my car is auto.
  19. when i give my car some, it seems to lose power at around the 4500 mark, then at 6000 it hammers to redline. whats the go?
  20. ive heard nothing but praise from the hybrid copy coolers. ive even got one sitting in my room waiting to be installed.
  21. i did on my r33... when i had it sprayed, my panel beater gave them a light sand with some wet and dry sand paper, put some scratch remover over them and went over it with the buffer.. they came out crystal clear.
  22. you're just running rich. either buy a new o2 sensor or shove in an safc.... or both
  23. thanks mate. safc's are good if you go to the right place that will give you a safe tune, i.e. still run a LITTLE rich.
  24. change your o2 sensor and get an safc
  25. just do a dodgy repair.. mine have been going strong for a week so far just by lightly sanding the inside of the coil pack.
