  1. justjap are a bit over priced, i dont think ive ever bought spare parts from there. their aftermarket parts are better priced lol. i use NG Jap in padstow (round about on watson rd).
  2. Terry, tell them you've got 40 pallets and they will come. Im a builder and we get rid of pallets that are left over after the site is cleaned is if we 'exaggerate' how many pallets we have. Works every time.
  3. go straight to your shipping company. they'll have heaps laying around.
  4. a proper bill of sale will always keep both parties involved honest.
  5. keep thinking what?? we're (dan the man, you and i) thinking the same thing. let me simplify it for the slow ones out there today... person A wants to sell a car. The car has money owing on it. person B buys car and changes title into their name, unaware of money owing on it. bank has not been paid since person A did not pay the loan. bank pursues the recovery of their assets (car). person B is without car as it has been repossessed. so who loses out? person B. yeah there bro.
  6. you just explained my point. its technically no longer the previous owner's problem once the car has changed titles if they wanted to be dodgy. the new owner pays the price for the loan as their car gets repossessed.
  7. once the car is transferred out of your name and into his, it is now his property regardless of whats wrong with it. same goes for people who buy cars with money still owing on it - the loan becomes their problem, not the previous owner's. its not your problem, dont do him any favours because he sounds like a cock. anything he says is a scare tactic and holds no weight.
  8. craved is good.. and does work for sexual favours.
  9. this is what happened after a nasho run a few years back. its my brother in laws car, we both worked for a demolition company at the time so we had a yard and a workshop to strip it (had a 2.5L import motor and dog box + suspension work). enjoy!
  10. looks like one of the 9" are cracked. so im going to let these go super cheap. $250 for all 4. im pretty sure they can be repaired.
  11. that pretty much sums it up. the car didnt belong to the guy in the first place, it was the financier's. when you secure a loan with property it then becomes theirs till its paid off. on the other hand, if your friend had a bill of sale which said "Seller warrants that it is the legal owner of said motor vehicle, that said motor vehicle is being sold free and clear of all claims and encumbrances, that Seller has full right and authority to sell and transfer same, and will protect and indemnify Buyer from all claims adverse thereto". then its a case of fraud and would have more of a chance of recovering the car/money. i've got a standard bill of sale which pretty much covers you for anything dodgy if anyone is interested.
  12. are there any spots left? can i pay on the day? regarding scrutineering, what if i dont have a washer bottle at all? does it need to be installed or do only the wipers need to be working?
  13. hey mate, not too interested in splitting up the set unless i had a buyer for the others.
  14. try selling it on the honda forums. they buy shit like that dont they?
  15. hey all, i replaced the suspension off my car and i've got these for sale. Item: R33 Bilstein shocks from the sydneykid group buy (~$600) on Eibach springs (~$200). The shocks are height adjustable and were very good for street driving. they had a firm, direct feel. they felt very smooth yet sporty. Condition: Used on my car for around 10,000km Reason for sale: upgraded to some type v's. Price: $500. I also have the rear set of Eibach springs which ill let go for $100. cheap cheap buy nowwwwww! Im out of the country from the 6th of August till the 31st of August so if not sold by the 5th of Aug (tomorrow) you will have to wait 3 weeks till i get back. Shoot me a PM and we will go from there. Cheers, Joe
  16. +1 thats usually the case. i usually get a car stand to hold up the exhaust if i cant get a mate to twist it for me. keep ALL bolts on the cat (front and back) loose till you get it lined up. when they get closer nip them up then continue to tighten.
  17. for the money you save on a china cooler kit you can get a water spray kit for it.
  18. i deal with councils almost on a daily basis. they dont do anything unless you put pressure on them. when they say "ill have to call you back" always ask WHEN, and give them a time frame. say "5mins? 10mins?" they usually answer with "ill have to speak to my supervisor and ......." just ask "how long does that take? 5 mins? 10mins??". never hang up unless you get a time frame so you've got some ammo when you have to call back. but good luck anyway! EDIT: always ask for a name and a direct contact number as well as what department theyre from.
  19. leave it on. you will have more restriction from your rubber intake pipe closing in on itself before you get a restriction from the AFM mesh. and when you start getting an airflow problem with the higher power you will most likely be upgrading to a z32/map-sensor and some aftermarket engine management. its pointless.
  20. forgot to mention... unplug the o2 sensor and undo it off the car, dont even bother trying to do it while the dumps are on the car because you just wont succeed without the proper tools.
  21. the bottom bolts are a bit of a bitch to get at. you need a 13mm spanner. you will most likely use the open ended side when putting them back on. what i do to prevent snapping bolts is 'crack' them first. drench in WD40, tighten again, then loosen while still feeling if it gets rough. if you feel it start to get a bit rough on the way out just spray some more WD40 then tighten then loosen. my bolts have done 220,000km and have been on and off around 10 times - havent broken one yet. as for the spacing, i always use 2 gaskets. the stock and the one they give you. just make sure you carefully match the flange to the size of the exhaust by grinding it out a bit. also dont freak out when there is a bit of smoke coming from the area after you start it up the first time. greasy hands, WD40 and heat will do that. just keep the car on stands so you can listen out for any exhaust leaks.
  22. by steel mesh you mean steel wool right? because mesh wont do shit. steel wool is the shiz.
  23. at least the front bar is sweeeet.
