  1. remember.. a vote for greens isnt a vote for labor. but a vote for labor is a vote for greens.
  2. Hi Nick, hope you dont mind (you could always delete this anyway). I've got a titanium r33 cat-back exhaust that would go with this (i think the gtst and GTR cat backs are interchangeable) going for $650. someone could pick up a complete titanium exhaust for just over $2000! cheap cheap.
  3. hey guys, ive been meaning to install a kill switch in my car for ages. im not going to go into where to put the switches, because thats a bit silly. what i want to know is what to immobilize. as most thieves are familiar with kill switches and are able to bypass them, i want to know what are the most difficult devices on our cars to bypass. im pretty good at wiring and can get to most things without leaving a trace of where ive cut and wired in a switch. easy things to bypass are fuel pump and ECU, i want to get into things like map sensor, AFM, coil packs etc etc. things that would need more time to try figure out and as you can imagine, the more time it takes to get something started, the higher chance of them giving up! i know there is another type of switch where you use yourself as the ground while starting the car, you touch the switch and it then allows you to start the car. what part of the ignition only needs ground while starting it? try not to give too much away when giving your suggestions as you never know who is reading. cheers, joe
  4. ive realised that with hicas and going sideways the car always felt crap (unpredictable rear end) - but i was doing well over 100km with the tires spinning. since i fitted a hicas lock bar its been fine. car goes where i want it to. also my opinion on why the car was going side to side was a mixture of open wheeling (diff) and over correction (by you). your first instinct when you're sideways is to full-lock the steering the opposite way to correct it, but if you get a bit of traction while you're at full lock then the car goes the other way, then you do the same thing to correct that. less is more when it comes to steering correction.
  5. i think the idea about climate change is about seeing a trend that could possibly be harmful in the future and rectifying it NOW so it doesnt get to a point where its irreversible. c02 levels will only increase and in approx 50yrs we will be burning even more fossil fuels than today. but if we acted in 50yrs time when the damage is already done then whats the point? and its not just emissions, its waste. where are we going to put everything in 50yrs?
  6. dont forget that the whole idea of superannuation is to stop government assistance. i think it was in 1992 that it all started, so that meant if you were 18 in 1992 getting super then today you would be 36, most people retire in their 55's. the government will probably start phasing out government assistance in 20 years time.
  7. i was thinking about this today. ever since the Labor party has come in, laws have tightened on emissions which ultimately effect the modified car scene because of what i think is from the greens influence to control emissions. Labor is tipped to have the majority vote from the greens (so a vote for the greens is generally a vote for Labor, and vise versa). im not voting Labor in this election, i was happy when the the Liberals were running the country although if you are an employee and/or have a young family im sure you will disagree. discuss.
  8. vodafone asked me what my income was before everything else. my contract is $125 a month minimum charge though.
  9. all pm's replied. im not very negotiable on these parts, they are very cheap as it is.
  10. not much, for $450 for RP01's i wouldnt expect any!! i can send you to a mate of mine for some cheap 17's if in sydney.
  11. thing is - i already have my opinions of the cars that are tested on top gear/5th gear. thats not what i watch them for. i watch them because they're entertaining. top gear is the winner for me because they know that not everyone out there bases their opinions of the cars they drive on their show.. i mean, if i was tossing up between a ferrari and a DB9 i wouldnt watch a top/5th gear show to tell me which one to buy. its HOW they test them that is entertaining. 5th gear is too concerned with telling you which is better with stats and numbers. top gear show you that you cant rate a car just on stats and figures. its the real world testing and their funny way of doing things that gets me as well as their brutally honest opinions.
  12. hey guys, i thought i'd just combine all of my threads into one. all items are used: TITANIUM 3 3/4" cat-back exhaust. weights less than 3kg! $650 Enkei RP01 full set: 17x9 and 17x8 +38 offset - perfect for skyline with big brakes. $450 Nismo FPR $140 RARE Deatschwerks 740cc injectors (this is an EOI at this stage as i am building another motor which will need big injectors) all paperwork is included. Ran on my car for a total of 2mins, they barely got wet and went straight back into their packaging. $600 but can be fit to an rb25 fuel rail for $100 extra. Standard injectors (67,000km on them) $100 without rail, $200 with rail. Reply here or send me a PM. Cheers, Joe
  13. nobody wants a cheap set of lightweight rims???
  14. rb25 r32 - they are rare but would go better than a r34 neo because of the weight but you'd need to find one in manual - i think most of them are auto.
