  1. lol im still trying to get my money back for a dodgy turbo he sold me....... 2 years later.
  2. i personally have never seen a blocked PVC setup work properly. im sure its been done before but not by anyone ive ever met. put your PVC back to stock, check the valve is working properly and the hose has no splits in it - then see if its still doing it. worn valve stem seals cause smoke on deceleration - so do valve seats AFAIK. keep us posted.
  3. ever play lego when you were a kid? think about lego but with bigger, weirder looking parts. personally id rather pull a motor out than build one of those modern day lego technix toys - its easier. become a member, borrow the engine crane and get yourself a spanner and a 1/2" and 3/8" socket set - you can do it yourself if you're as interested as you say you are. have you sorted out the wiring? im not sure if the rb20 and the rb25 run the same ecu/ignitor/cas etc etc... have you thought it all through?
  4. change the story so its right, there is no point in agreeing to the story theyre giving you if it isnt true. from this point onwards you should try to be as straight forward as possible - you have no other card to play. because if you get caught lying your case will get shot to shit. firstly, respond to the letter ASAP with the story as you remember it. secondly, point out the discrepancies in court and say, i understand the police officers have alot to deal with in their usual day-to-day and may have mixed the situation with another but what happened that day was as follows........ 'i tried to get the CCTV footage from the store but as of the [date] the store no longer had the tape on file. at the end of the day you got dicked and the story of how it all happened may not do much to the outcome of your case. even if you get a longer suspension at least you were honest about it and it could have been worse - getting caught lying will get you no leniency whatsoever, and may include the maximum sentence for your offense.
  5. ive done some stupid things in the past when it comes to the law, the main thing is to have a story that clears you from doing wrong and sticking to it. as long as you keep to your story without changing a SINGLE detail they cannot do anything about it. for eg: when i first got my license i finished work one night and met some mates at UWS Bankstown where bashing their cars around the grass area that is next to the bottom car park. i went in to have a go and i got bogged straight away (damn rwd vn commodores!). security came and called the police before i could get a tow truck to pull me out. my story was my mate got bogged and i was trying to help him out by nudging him through as his car was a FWD and couldnt make it out. it made me sound like a hero and other than my story they couldnt confirm what happened. they kept asking me to 'think about my story and get back to them'. so i kept to my story, i didnt admit to anything and nothing happened. the end. moral of the story is as long as you have some sort of plausible story that keeps you in the clear you'll be fine (as long as there are no witnesses that is). this even worked for O.J. Simpson.
  6. Nobody cares
  7. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/rulesregulations...ivoffences.html you MAY be lucky and be granted a Section 10 i think its called. its a dismissal because of it being your first serious traffic offence. do some research and see if it will apply to you.
  8. check your PCV
  9. not really, the thing about being a parra supporter is that even though you guys might win the premiership (which you wont) is just like winning gold in the special olympics... at the end of the day you're still a retard. DOGGIES 2010! p.s. St. George has got to be the single most hated football team in the world... or at least this side of the georges river.
  10. Parra isnt a bad place to live at all. Its their football team that you should keep away from.
  11. coventry fastners sell circlipse. if theyre the same size that keep the gudgeon pins on in pistons ive got plenty.
  12. obrian's will supply and fit one for over $300. i got quoted $380 for my r33 front windscreen.
  13. fark! that was done in like 45secs! and all they used were tools that would fit into a small backpack... IMO they either had a key or theyre from your building.
  14. guys, has anyone thought about raising the level at where their windows wind up? thats the #1 spot to get into a skyline besides the back small window. what i've done is raise the level by adjusting the brackets it sits on - makes the car door close much tighter and is alot harder to wedge open. it helps me sleep a tiny bit better at night. i mean, it wont stop a thief that is determined to get your car but its just another thing you can do.
  15. a) one is in the shape of a rectangle, and the other is round. b) breather is for setups that have the air venting into the atmosphere (atmo). its really a personal preference on if you want to recirculate the breather air or make it atmo. technically it isn't/shouldn't be a defect if you recirculate the air back into your intake - but cops in NSW are arseholes. once i got defected for 'engine modifications'... like wtf?? if you get a cop who doesn't know what he is doing he will defect you for it because it isn't standard, and that is the case with 99.9% of NSW highway patrol - so for safety's sake i'm going to say yes, its a defect because REALLY its you and your luck.
  16. guys, your body only absorbs something like 32g of protein per sitting. so if you're trying to get 40g of protein into a shake/meal then you arent really doing anything except wasting money+product. also, the reason you put oats/wheat etc into a protein shake is so that your body actually absorbs it protein to begin with. your body needs a complex carb to help it with the absorption of proteins and fibres as well as to burn energy more effectively - throwing some oats into your shake, or even weet bix as i so is 1 way you can get a complex carb into your diet to help you use your protein rich foods up without wasting them. if you do this often you will feel alot more energetic during the day.
  17. when i do super sets i load up with FARRR more weight than i can do on my own and get 2 spotters - but these guys will do super sets their whole life it seems like lol.
  18. yeah im from that area but i work out at sylvania fitness first, bankstown is rubbish so i dont bother going there dude. its all about who can lift the most weight with 4 guys spotting you, then drop your weights on the floor, walk away, get a bench and talk on the phone for 5mins between sets. its shit. where do you work out?
  19. all i really notice is my body temp is a higher than normal and im on the shitter alot more so its doing something - whether or not its beneficial at the gym is what im testing at the moment but i feel that i will be making the same conclusion as you.
  20. Since i started working out properly i've been doing my reading online, listening to people give me their philosophies on weight training (i.e. getting 6 opinions from 5 different people) and i've come to realise a few different things which might help some people out there: - you DO need carbs to be able to work out efficiently, how much though and WHEN is the key. 5-7 meals seems to be the average around my neck of the woods and it consists of consuming them evenly throughout the day but get them in before say 1-2pm, earlier than that if you work out at that time (i work out at around 6pm and stop consuming carbs at 1pm. i tend to fit in 3 protein shakes throughout the day and fit in my daily carb consumption within the first 2, breakfast includes 3 weetbix, between lunch and dinner is 2 and post workout shake = no weetbix, why weetbix? its a good complex carb, complex carbs help you break-down proteins and energy more efficiently. fill in your other meals with high protein foods and greens. - FORM is the key to getting the best results, no matter what it is you're doing at the gym. i see a whole bunch of big boys at the gym who work out to look good. then i see a whole bunch of MASSIVE boys who concentrate on form more than how much they lift and the difference is very noticeable. the boys who concentrate on form lift less weight but increase every 2 weeks or so. the big boys will sit on the same weight for alot longer. - suppliments work if you know how to get the most out of them. go and get a blood test done to see if you're lacking any vitamins, thats the best start in my opinion. personally im low on iron and ive got slightly lower blood pressure - so i eat more red meats and add mushrooms to my salads and do more cardio. its what works for your body as im sure has been mentioned before. also, you can consume all the proteins in the world and your body wont be able to absorb it. you need to help your body become an energy burning machine, complex carbs and fruit are great for this - i always fit one or both after a protein shake and always eat fruit after a meal - the lower in sugar the fruit the better. - dont be naive and think that everyone at the gym got to their sizes naturally. most of the big boys have hit the juice at some stage so dont beat yourself up over going to the gym for a year and seeing smaller gains than most. as long as you feel stronger and fitter than the month before then you're on the right track. - hitting the treadmill is beneficial after a weights workout. interval training is great. the idea is to keep your heart rate moving which makes your body use up more energy as it tries to catch up with your movements. since i started interval training (on the bike) ive been leaving the gym with my shirts almost drenched whereas before when i would keep a constant speed and just feel tired but not sweat as much. only suppliments im on are protain and tribulus tabs and the occasional hit of animal m stack (which does make me feel pumped after a workout). ive JUST started getting back into it properly after a long holiday overseas. im not anywhere near big, but im noticing big changes since ive been working out smarter. EDIT: forgot to add that CORE training also helps when you're trying to lift heavy, ever since i started core training (abs, obliques, back) i had to add weight to almost every exercise. i do the plank alot too which is #1, try it.. it looks gay but its an awesome workout.
  21. wow now ill never forget what kind of car i drive AND people will think im extra cool for reminding them because skylines arent that common and people will be like 'hey wot kind of car is that?', and i'll be like - 'read the plate lolololololol'.
  22. the busses with dose that i've heard sound like emo-dose to me , like the busses are hating life because they run on gas now. ssssuuuuuu tu....................tu....................tu....................tu
  23. n00b always good to be remembered! i got mine from CRD. their vending machine had plenty in stock last i checked. they were $1.60 back then but i'd ring up and find out before you head down there if i were you - the AUD has dropped vs. the USD so they may have gone up in price since then.
  24. dont you know anything?? its that thing in your motor that you block off with a coca cola can gasket.
  25. i love dose. i did an rb30 conversion and bought a vipec ecu so i could get rid of my AFM so i could get some better dose. ~$8000 later and i couldnt be happier. oh yeah, the car goes alright too.
