Anyone Know Where I Can Find An Air Filter Box Or Tyre Placard?
SECURITY replied to JunglBoi's topic in New South Wales
hey mate, i've got NO idea where to get a 'genuine' tyre placard from, maybe try nissan spare parts or anywhere who do engineer certificates. i ended up making this a few years ago, its an exact copy of the nissan tyre placard. if you get some sticky laminated paper and print it out you may get away with it. TYRE_PLACARD2.zip for an airbox, try the for sale section. my mate is selling one so hit me up with a PM if you're interested, here is his thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fs...94#entry3779094 -
well when you blow the same motor 6 times you're bound to learn a thing or 2. my point is i dont shit stir and thats what the mods think i do. unlike most of the people on here i give off my true opinions and there is no problem in doing that. my opinions will be the same whether it be in a thread or in person.

Jas-25t, i wasnt talking to the general public in my post, i was talking directly to Duncan about the whole cheque book racer thing. i know alot of guys on here do their own work and thats highly respected. its just the guys who throw big $ at their cars and think they're so awesome that just dont get it. i know its remote to have something let go but i melted a piston at WSID 3yrs ago, then rebuilt it, then recently my motor started to feel a bit tired so i scrapped it and threw in a fresh rebuilt motor. i'll be heading out to the track soon, i just dont want anything to go wrong especially with the auto box.

i stated that i wouldnt become a member again when the whore threads closed down, it was the only reason i became a member in the first place. and what i dont understand is how sau nsw members are any better than non members to have a whore thread in there. when you can answer me that then it will be something i consider. well Duncan, if we're giving out opinions here, i'll go to lengths as to say that you are a typical admin hiding behind his pretty green icon, the difference between me and you is i'll say the things i post in person - people on here who know me well enough know im not the 'keyboard warrior' you'd like to think i am. i also wont be manipulated into going to a track day to prove anything to you. i know how things can go wrong in a car, especially on a track day and know the cost of the fcuk ups if your bases arent covered. truth is i've been more into my drag racing than track in the past 4yrs but i've spent alot of time lately getting my car right for the track and its still not ready yet. the only things left are tyres and my tune (which i do myself) and she's ready to go. i'm not a 'cheque book racer' who will pay someone else lots of $$ to get my car right, thats not how i get things done and i dont think thats what true motor-sporting is about. my car is driven daily so if anything goes pop it puts a huge dent in my usual day-to-day which i'm sure you have no clue about. but in saying that, she should be ready soon and the next track day looks like a go.

is there any reason why the track day is around 160% more expensive than most other days? i know you guys are trying to push people into becoming sau nsw members but i think the way you guys are doing it is crap. other days that cost the sau nsw price usually have timing. the other day in the events section is $110 and is the exact same day. me and around 5 of my mates have been itching to get out onto the track but if i had a day that cost $110 and a day that cost $180, which track day do you expect us to want to go to?

so sorry to hear that mona!! thats so shit the sad thing is they dont want to put cameras in the carpark because then they would have to put more security guard in place to show that they are actually securing shit, which will then make it a secured parking with higher costs, and parking there is already expensive. bottom line is i wouldnt park anywhere that doesnt say 'secured parking'. if there isnt a secured parking then i park on the street in a busy area. no none will steal a car in plain sight in a high traffic area, and if they try then 90% of the time there will be cameras to ID the people involved.

everyday. i could drive the lancer or the ute.. but i dont want to. but since petrol prices are predicted to hit $2, i think i might start using the lancer!

a good idea would be to tell whichever blood bank we're going to that we'll have X amount of people so they bring on more blood taker-ers so it doesnt take 5hrs to get through 20 people. 1 person will pass through in around 20 mins.

guys, does anyone have some rb25 engine mounts? mine are phucked and i need them tonight as my motor is ready to go back in!! can anyone here help me out?
-
a green slip for a ute will obviously be more. utes are expected to be driven more which means a higher premium, a high powered car wont spend as much time (as a ute) on the road. what i think he meant is not to jump into our cars straight after donating blood. there was no need to comment on anything.

sounds good. im a registered blood doner with the red cross - got the members card and everything. ive got a rare blood type so i give whenever i can i guess. and for those who have never been, a little something to freak you out:

im having a bit of work done at hills motorsport as we speak. it will be interesting to see how it pans out with these very mixed opinions.
