  1. ive got an emanage running in my r33 with the a/f meter, pressure sensor and launch control all hooked up. it should be sweet once its all tuned. if you let me know beforehand ill take my laptop to a meet and show you how it all works.
  2. sand in your crack + wind doesnt seem like a good night out to me. plus your chances of doing the dirty while watching a movie are shot to shit.
  3. pm r32woohoo as he supplied the fittings for his install. the 044's have their own strainer, just like the 040's. if you have a look inside the pick-up there is a fine steel mesh.
  4. well then obviously the afm clamp is working because you've completely overcome the last problem, its just moved to a higher rpm which you couldn't have seen because you couldnt get there! try this one, ive added more voltage clamp: 270cc_rb20det_SECURITY_TRY_2____more_voltage_clamp.zip

  7. i did a fuel pump installs on a few r32's and have realised that the 044 fuel pump with an earls fitting on the end of it seems like it was purposely fabricated for the r32 fuel tank and bracket. i mounted it on the standard bracket with no dramas at all, and sat around 5-7mm from the bottom of the tank. this is what it looked like after getting it on, but this was on a gts-t, im not sure if its the same on a gtr:
  8. yeah mate, i only clamped afm voltage. with the front facing plenum you may be getting more flow which may max out a normal afm. i mean, another standard rb20 may not see those afm voltages at those rpm because of the usual gear + usual setups. you're running more flow on the standard AFM (im guessing) so maybe it is causing some kind of r&r?? thats just a guess though, the map that i made you should test my theory.
  9. looks like you're hitting r&r with 3.7v @ 3500rpm in the boost limiter cut settings, put 3.7v from 3500-4500 and see if that solves anything. it may do it again at around 5500 but we'll deal with that if it comes up. keep an ear out for pinging. edit: i made you a map for you to try.   10. listen to them mate. i had a run in with a dodgy turbo, it cost me more money than what i actually bought it for. ive got a GCG GT hiflow now and all my problems have mysteriously gone away. funny that.

  12. i wont be doing this mod anymore, ive got a plx wideband on its way so ill be letting the emanage tune the mix at RPM vs. my desired AFR's, so on hot track days ill just make the emanage tune my afr's to a richer mix rather than hotter temps, i think its safer. although i'd probably do what BB suggested except find a IAT sensor off another car that is a single unit and wire it in (the emanage lets you choose which sensor off which car you wish to use).

  14. they do the whole 'MATE, get back into your car!' thing, but i tell them that i dont like people talking down at me and they get over it. they cant MAKE you stay in your car, they just like you to think they can.
  15. i always get out of the car when i get pulled over. i have a problem with people talking down at me. it makes me nervous and i start making shit up for some reason - even though im totally innocent. you probably ran into the 1 copper patrolling all of sydney while the rest are having a break after new years. he probably had the shits that he was working or just thought you were cute.

  23. ive hooked up the greddy pressure sensor to my emanage and auto shifts are so much quicker with it connected. all i need to do is fine tune it and it will be running sweet.
  24. the wrx's run off a MAP sensor to read boost. when the MAP reaches a certain voltage then it initiates the fuel cut - same as ours except the ecu reads air flow rathe than pressure to cut boost. the wrx's can be tricked by putting a restrictor in line with the map sensor that reads boost (in their boost solenoid). what this does is moves the boost cut threshold up by a few psi. we try to do the same with the emanage and safc. we 'trick' the ecu by making it read a lower afm voltage by inputing one that would not initiate the fuel cut.
  25. i think it would make a difference. he's eliminated 2 sharp-ish bends which will cause a bit of turbulance and restriction. the last bend is open in terms of the angle. i like the design. to get to your last 3 plugs you need to take the crossover pipe off anyway. at least now its only a matter of 2 clamps and you can swing it around. the oil filler cap will be a bit of a problem though.
