  1. yeah, but if there was one in the AFM it would be alot easier to use. if i could get one in the intercooler piping it would be better but the sensor would be under alot of load, wouldnt it? oh ok. so my other option is to find a IAT that another car uses that is separate to the AFM and wire it in (the emanage lets you choose the sensor type separately - so i could use whichever type i wanted).
  2. so the gtst afm DOES have a intake temp sensor???
  3. hey guys, ive been playing around with my emanage ultimate a bit and ive wanted to play with the AIT adjustment maps where i can adjust fuel or ignition as temps increase. as far as i know the gtst doesnt have an IAT sensor built into the AFM so i cant get a signal to my emanage. i wanted to know wether i could custom mount one somehow so i could start doing the settings. any suggestions would be great.
  4. if you are driving a turbo car on a licence that was issued after the new laws came in then you need to show that you are exempt. they give you a paper that you MUST have in the car at all times to show that you are exempt, so it doesn't mean a damn thing if your licence doesn't have any of the markings that it should.
  5. because of the journal bearing you need to feed more oil to it (which is why you need to make the oil feed line bigger to these types of turbos). look out for a blocked oil drain pipe, blocked PCV, blocked breathers etc. is there any oil in your cooler pipes? catch can? intake?
  6. could be exhaust gasket too.
  7. and your point is??
  8. did it work?
  9. want clean?? have a look at MRGTR911's r32 gtr. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...87#entry3441887
  10. hey mate, any idea if the n1 actuators will fit onto a my gtst hiflow?
  11. his exhaust isnt restrictive. its got a trust front pipe, hiflow cat and a 3" cat back. his exhaust flows. its just that on the dyno whenever its given a boot, no matter if its on high boost or low boost it loses around 4psi. i was having a read about the GCG turbos, when they weld on the wastegate they weld it on with the wrong angle so when you put your wastegate actuator on it makes the wastegate flap open slightly. thats why the extra preload (tension on the wastegate arm) would have helped. ive got a similar problem with my gcg hiflow and ill be putting a bit of extra preload by bending the actuator arm a bit. manwh0re, i reckon you should try this too if your turbo isnt stuffed. i remember you telling me that you used to start seeing boost at 4000rpm on your slide hiflow. it may be a similar fault.
  12. yeah thats the plan mate. but instead of drilling into my dash thats in perfect condition i want to mold the front of the DIN pocket in fiberglass and put a switch on it that way. i just want all the emanage stuff together in the single pocket incase i need to remove something.
  13. sweet, thanks for that. ill have a look at the wreckers on the weekend. heres how i mounted it: it was a bit tricky trying to get my launch control switch sitting right, ill have to fabricate a mount with a decent switch so it doesnt move around, otherwise im pretty happy with it.
  14. thats what ive done, its in the DIN pocket now. im looking for one with a cover, but i cant find one yet! im going to mount my gauges in the glove box. im getting ones that have warning lights/buzzers built in so i dont have to have them exposed all the time, i'd just pull the glove box down on track days. thanks for the ideas guys.
  15. not anymore, anyway. i'll tell you what. have company A tell you to get your turbo checked out by company B, then have company B check it out by taking it apart, then telling you its X amount. THEN have company A tell you they wont pay it as its too much, THEN tell you that you've voided your warranty by having company B open up the turbo - under company A's instructions. are you telling me you wouldnt be out for every single cent you're owed?
  16. im not explaining this again on here, not to you. its pointless. it just seems like your sponsorship by sliding has given you a bias opinion.
  17. i got the hiflow with the GT core when i got GCG to fix my turbo. rated at 500hp and capable of pushing 25psi. its bolt on in terms of dump pipe and manifold as you said. the oil and water lines are not 'bolt on'. there is a kit GCG sell for an extra $150 to fit it on. it comes with an oil feed line and banjo fittings for the water lines. all you need to do is cut your water line, expand it, fit the water hose GCG also supply, clamp on and fit and clamp the banjo fittings on. no dramas.
  18. slide sold murnane motors turbos as his own branded turbos. he told everyone that it was HIS workshop, that HE was doing all of the work and HE was the one falling behind because of his condition. theres the misrepresentation. so settle down princess. ill keep everyone posted on how i go. im rounding up a few people who have been shafted by slide and are thinking about making a single suit (as i was directed by the department of fair trading).
  19. yeah, well its actually an offense in the fair trading act to misrepresent where a product actually came from. he sold them as sliding turbos, but Murnane Motors were the suppliers, makers and warranters of the turbos. from the fair trading act: (ea) make a false or misleading representation concerning the availability of facilities for the repair of goods or of spare parts for goods; (eb) make a false or misleading representation concerning the place of origin of goods; - Not a slide turbo (G) make a false or misleading representation concerning the existence, exclusion or effect of any condition, warranty, guarantee, right or remedy.
  20. yeah mate, click on the link in my sig for all the details. heres a hint... Murnane Motors were the company who REALLY built these turbos.
  21. you cant even be missing a grille.
  22. goodluck mate, the bad rep these turbos are getting i'd be surprised if you got a buyer. same thing here. GCG have printed me out a report on the receipt of the turbo i got rebuilt by them. R33GOD, let me know how far you get with getting your turbo repaired.
  23. give me a price for whatever you've got.
  24. spotted Khan today (Gengis) driving past subway in bankstown.
  25. first you need a screw driver..... edit: sorry, i read it as steal i haven't really seen any number plates actually sell other than the ones at the auctions, and they usually have some kind of historical significance (like, the ex-G.G. had the plates like [G1] or something like that, and sold for around $150k. maybe try the porsche forums if there is one.
