  1. these things are too damn hard to control as RWD, is the drive shaft/front diff broken or did you disable it?
  2. something that stops working that abruptly - like in the space of an hr sounds like the CAS. best way to check is to take one of your spark plugs and coil packs out, put the spark plug back into rubber boot of the coil pack as it would be if it was assembled, hold the spark plug onto something earthed and check if theres a spark as someone turns the engine over.
  3. i was saying that if you're running 2 separate boost controllers it will be hard to determine which one is pushing more psi than the other unless you use 2 electronic boost controllers. with a single boost controller you'll have an even spread between them no matter the type. even if it spikes, it will spike evenly for eg, 2 scenarios: 1st is the 2 boost controller setup. lets say the boost gauge is reading 14psi. with 2 boost controllers you may not have an even spread as one turbo may be pushing 4psi, and the other 10psi. you cant tell. this will cause one turbo to always be overworked. but hey, at least you'll have 1 turbo in VERY good condition which you can sell to help with your rebuild. 2nd is single. even spread, easily manageable. no dramas. all you've got to do is get one of the vacuum hoses coming from one turbos wastegate actuator, then get a T piece and plumb it into the vacuum hose going to the wastegate actuator of the other.
  4. postage is around $12 express. i order these as i get them mate. i may end up making this a group buy if i get too many orders, but for now ill take them as they come. the prices quoed are USB only. to get the cases with both will be $15 ontop of the prices quoted. i was doing this on the basis of being cheaper for you guys. as above.
  5. ever had a piece of wood slip from under the trolley jack? ive seen it happen a few times. 1 cracked a radiator, the other took out the whole power steering system from the car slipping off it. dont do it. of your jack isnt big enough dont try, and if your worried about wrecking the cross member, you wont.
  6. i use the front tow hook on either side. it keeps the jack out of my way if im working under the car.
  7. that wont change WHEN the turbos kick in as they'll both be producing the same boost at any given psi. only difference is one will have a higher limit.
  8. white spark plug tips means its burning oil mate. could be your rings or your turbo. brown is the ideal colour that you want from it.
  9. for around half the price id be doing an rb30 with your 25 head.
  10. for a straight conversion i'd hit up hills motorsports. they do good work with conversions and are pretty well priced. as for costs, i'd be looking at an r33 rb26 if you dont want dramas down the track so you may be up for around 10k for a decent motor, loom, ecu and piping as well as other custom work that may be needed to be done.... + labour.
  11. a light polish is the way to go, ive seen more gains from mates who have done a mild polish than a major polish when aiming for lower hp. i got most of my rebuild parts from coventry for my rebuild through my mate when he used to work there. it was probably the cheapest rebuild in history lol (just a std rebuld). i got pretty much everything but the rings from them. goodluck with the build mate.
  12. yep thats it. pull back the rubber boot then unclip it.
  13. check the vacuum hose connected to it. the standard gauge has a crappy vacuum hose which gets very brittle when exposed to heat for a long time. if its an aftermarket gauge then check that the vacuum hose is still connected or hasnt warped somewhere along the line. if it checks out ok then blow out the hose fitting with a blower vac and try again. if it doesnt move the needle then its time for a new one.
  14. pics are also used to prove you've actually got them for interstate buyers. goodluck with the sale mate.
  15. haha this reminds me of this one time i *edited by moderators*
  16. yerrpppp im in.
  17. if i was you i'd be looking at RACV to fork out for the repairs. the whole point of them is that you buy a car with the assurance that its fine. if they cleared the compression and it was actually crap then you should go to them and tell them to fix it. thats how the NRMA checks work anyway.
  18. $100 says theyre all gay. Adam, go find out and report back?
  19. yeah just pm it if you find out and get as much detail as you can off him. im from the area so as long as he gets a good description of the cars i might be able to figure out which bunch of gronks did it. its bankstown. do you expect the trouble to be caused by aboroginals? its just like saying why is all the trouble caused by asians in cabramatta. same as cronulla and all the trouble caused by................................. oh wait.
  20. yeahhhhh ok.
