  1. the r33's only show where the shifter is on the dash.
  2. im trying to get my car ready for the track so i dont think ill be getting an emanage just yet. after the track day ill be saving up for it + a tune. i'll also be getting the sensor so i dont need to run an AFM. ill MAY be hitting the dyno before the track day to see where my AFRs are at so ill keep you all posted.
  3. happy birthday Anna
  4. you can get a fitting to screw onto the bottom of an 044 (i know this is for an 040 install) so you dont have to bend the standard bracket. it also gives you less changes of surging. with that in place i measured up the pump and it sits around 2-3mm off the bottom of the tank which is perfect for fuel pick-up. it was like the 044 was made for the r32. heres a pic of an install i did on r32woohoo's r32:
  5. yeah but diffs that are open wheeling compared to diffs that arent so bad will have different wear on the shims. what im saying is - is there a certain shim size i can use to replace so i know it wont slip at all? can i use a 1.49 on 1 side and a 1.49 on the other, making it 2.98 in total. will that work? i just dont like the idea of 2 shims up against each other.
  6. even with the coil pack cover on you'll get water in there. take your coil packs out and dry up the water thats collected around the sparkies.
  7. it is true that the ignition retard is influenced by the auto ecu, but because you have control of ignition through the emanage you can turn that timing back to where its supposed to be at any particular rpm.
  8. what about somewhere where i wouldnt be paying through the ass?
  9. its going well. comes on boost nice and hard, even with the standard computer. i can use a pfc if i wanted to champ. dont believe everything you read but i've decided to go with the emanage ultimate (also off slide). its got everything i need + more. i'd probably even go for it if i had a manual.
  10. yep, just mention you're from any forum and you get the same price. but its not about the money, i couldn't care less about it. i already said i wasn't going to. i've contributed my fair share to the forums and still do. but its also not about that. it has now become (to me) a lifeless forum. i get on, check the modifications and maintenance section for threads i can maybe contribute to - have a look in the wasteland a bit - skim through NSW section then CLOSE for the day. why would i want to contribute to that?
  11. ok but say i wanted to be 100% sure there was going to be 0 slip. what thickness shim would you recommend if i took the old one out and replaced it with a single one?
  12. on a lighter note.... i dont care. why do you think i came a member in the first place? for the discounts?? i get trade at nissan anyway, and justjap dont do MEMBER discounts. last time i went there they simply said 'our prices are cheaper than anywhere else anyway'. the discounts dont mean a damn thing to me. i paid my membership because the FORUMS were helpful and a great place to chat. i now spend 1/4 of the time i used to on here so whats the point?
  13. there are a few out there that have small openings on the fittings. they can cause the head to pressurise from the lack of sufficient ventilation causing a few oil problems.
  14. wouldnt it be better to remove the old shim then put in a thicker one? wouldnt just adding a shim cause slip between the old and the new?
  15. for the first time in your life? dont worry about what the girls say chicko - its all about the motion in the ocean. congrats adam, if i knew we could've faxed in our nominations i would've voted for you too!
  16. i can manage to make it smoke up in the rain get on mirc and join #skylinesaustralia on the austnet server. nobody talks in there. its great. we need more people to join! thats why ill never renew my membership
  17. and the headlights need buffing
  18. great work... i know how hard it is to take photos as you go, but this guy takes the cake. top stuff!
  19. buy an auto.
  20. the problem with the emanage blue is hardly anyone will attempt to tune them (in sydney). i've asked around. can you recommend or know of anywhere in sydney that does them Trent?
  21. click here to read the rules of the group buy section. click here to go to start the group buy.
  22. thats all my aftermarket stuff, i dont have a pic of the standard stuff, circled is where the switch is.
  23. what the person who installed your gauges may have done is remove your standard oil pressure switch and replace it with the aftermarket one (i.e. they didnt use a sandwich plate). therefore the reading of no oil pressure. have a closer look to see if thats what they have done. if not, i'd be getting it checked with a mechanical gauge (mechanic screws a mechanical gauge into where the standard oil pressure switch goes).
