i did loads of dodgy shit to my VN, it was my first car. -one of the front seat mounts broke so i had a vacuum cleaner wedged behind the seat to stop me from swinging back. -the front bar was held on by cable ties. -i ripped the air filter out completely and put a stocking over the pipe. better performanz y0. -the muffler was rusted so i grinded it off and didnt replace it. i also drilled a hole through the cat. -i had a decent system in the car.. but couldnt afford a box for my sub.. so i put it in a bucket and used sikaflex to seal it. -i removed the rear springs and cut the front ones.

motor out, head off, rod-cap off, pistons out. but you might want to do a re-condition while its all out, i.e. new main and big end bearings, rear main seal, front crank seal etc.

look for white smoke out the exhaust, milky type residue in the radiator and water on the dipstick when you pull it out. they are all signs.

you'll need to take your front bar off. once you do it really isnt that scary. take all of your fmic piping off then the core. it will just be a few bolts for the core and some hose clamps for the piping and it will all pull out pretty easily. putting in the standard intercooler is pretty much straight forward. you'll need the standard piping. fmic kits usually retain the standard turbo outlet pipe so you should leave that on. you'll need a standard core and a return pipe for the stock intercooler. have a look in the for sale section or post up in the wanted to buy section, there are plenty of standard intercooler kits going around.

theres also the wiggles. the coppers in the same coloured unmarked cars as the wiggles shirts. i forget which stretch of road they're on, i think its the f3.

ahh! a squeel noise isnt good! definatly check the turbo for bearing faulure.

i doubt anything happened to the turbo. a blown turbo wont make a pop noise, its usually a hose that cracks/disconnects that makes the pop noise. replacing vacuum hoses is up to you, if you feel the vac hoses around your engine bay and some are starting to get hard or there have obvious cracks then id start replacing them, otherwise just leave them as is. you'd still make boost if one of your vacuum hoses are leaking/disconnected, so i doubt it would be tied to the problem you've described.

i got done for negligent driving around 5 years ago, ive got no idea if its the same thing. i only lost 3 points. im not sure if theyve added a suspension to it now. check the rta website and see what the penalty is.

at the pivot point theres a cap thats covering a bolt. undo that and it comes right off.

i had a friend who was in a similar situation. she was in the middle of the road wanting to turn right and she was indicating. someone driving down the road saw her just sitting there and went around and she went into them. the driver of the other car told the police that she wasnt indicating. it ended up being her fault. the justification of the police was, why would the other driver think it would be ok to go around her if she was indicating? i'd say you have a case. if police cant piece together what happened by looking at the accident, they'll look at it logically (which is funny because its beyond their capabilities). good luck.

there are plenty of people who have fitted front mount kits to their r33 s2's. just do a search and im sure something will pop up (look in forced induction performance and tutorial/DIY sections). alot of people using the justjap kits didnt need to hack into their s2 front bars.

check the silicon hoses for any cracks in them. you may not notice it till you're actually on boost so get him to rev it for a little bit while you're trying to find the noise (the high pitches noise could be air escaping through a tight crack in one of these hoses).
