  3. listen guys, the whole point of these threads is so that in the future people can search and find out whats going on with their car too. so if your problem is solved just tell us how you fixed it. otherwise it would be a complete waste of a thread!
  4. if its not your fuel pump id be looking into your actual coil packs. clean them out lightly with a dremil drill or some steel wool.

  8. supercheap actually sell tranny cooler kits now. theres a group buy still going on through ActionDan i think. but its worth looking into the supercheap ones, last i checked they also use the PWR cores (same as group buy). its not hard to install yourself either.
  9. i second crossfire. my mate has a full crossfire system (2x12's, 2 sets of splits, 6x9's and tweeters). the sound is so clean and crisp, ill be getting the same system for my car.
  10. sk recommends it on rb's you intend to race with. the only reason the n1 pump would be 'unreliable' is its a high volume pump which pumps out 20-25% more oil than standard. this causes oil starvation which spins bearings. putting restrictors in will definatly ease my mind with the n1 pump.
  11. have a look at the oil control for rb's thread to see what size restrictors you'll need for the block if you're going for a n1 pump. might be why you spun a bearing in the first place too. i rebuilt my motor with an n1 pump but didnt do the oil restrictor mod. im regretting it now but ill definately be doing it when i decide to swap to a metal head gasket.
  12. yep. pull ALL the spark plugs out and crank it, make sure you disconnect the injector loom so you dont get any more liquid into there. when you're sure its all cleaned out then plug the injector loom back in. a suggestion to getting the oil out, ive never tried it but it kinda popped into my head as i was typing.. grab one of those kitchen detergents with the removable lids, shove the feed into the bore and pump it into a bottle. goodluck
  13. usually when im in 3rd with the overdrive on it will hold 3rd like a manual does. with the wire cut, i put overdrive on as usual and it accelerates like normal, but as soon as i stop accelerating it drops to neutral. box is fine. ive done a few runs with it and still feels fine... ive got a switch hooked up to mine so its on and off pretty often.

  17. maybe try tightening the spring on the bov so its harder and doesnt vent on low pressure. either that or do the afm fix, if it doesnt do anything then grab a stock/plumback bov or get a tune-able ecu/piggyback computer.
  18. what kind of bov do you have on your car? if you've got an atmo bov then it would be causing this.

  22. the problem has been pretty much figured out guys (pending new oil line). what we think it may be is when i rebuilt my motor i rebuilt it with an N1 high volume oil pump. this pump pumps around 20-25% more oil as well as pressure at any given rpm compared to standard. so the turbo is receiving 20-25% more oil than is recommended and is getting forced past the oil ring. im waiting on an oil line with a 4mm restrictor, so fingers crossed!

  24. how about i get one for you to make it easier to compare? this is a sliding performance highflow making 267rwkw at 17 psi with more to go. at 2200rpm it was at 5psi and by 17 psi (full boost) at 3500 rpm http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/43/slid...ncemaxovbd6.jpg now you cant tell me with those numbers that journal in this size turbo affects spool time. if you wish to contact the owner of the car in question, his nick name is mickr33
