I know I'm a bit late to the party, however I was just working my way through some old emails and saw this. I have been toying with the idea of getting a Stillen supercharger for a while now, however it's for the 2014 Q60 S (VQ37), I know they have ones for your model also. Stillen does seem the way to go. I will put a link below for you. http://www.stillen.com/products/superchargers/370z--g37--q50-intercooled-supercharger-system-99946/?varyear=2014&varmake=Infiniti&varmodel=Q60 Also there is an awesome business in Sydney, that specialise in our cars. - I'm not affiliated with this mob at all, I have just read some great things about them. I'm in S.A , so I don't get to use them unfortunatey. The place is called Tunehouse - link below. http://www.tunehouse.com.au This looks like a great all round site. Good luck with it all. I will be interested to hear how you get on. Also, if anyone else has gone down this path, (preferably for the VQ37, sorry to hijack thread.. please let me know)

N.s.w-Demo, Sell By Build Date, Compliance Date?
Black Dog replied to Black Dog's topic in New South Wales
Thanks for the information. I will say it would be a big help for consumers if all the states operated by the same laws. -
That first pic you posted up is the Q60 IPL (Infiniti performance Line) Now that's the pick for me. It has 259Kw compared to 245Kw or in the old measurement (my measurement ) not sure why Australia changed it? 348Hp compared to 330Hp It also has a few extras, wheels etc but the big thing for me is the look of it. It has a much more aggressive stance due to the body kit. I'm actually thinking of ordering at least the front part of the kit. Does anyone else like the IPL ? Actually come to think of it I reckon it looks a bit like a Mustang... ? Below is the link to it. http://www.infinitiusa.com/coupe/q60-ipl

The tyre is Bridgestone Potenza. Does anyone have any long term experience with these?

G'day mate, You are spot on with The sizes. I just purchased an Australian Q60 S coupe (this is top model spec, same as 370GT SP in Japan) Wheel & Tyre • 19-inch 5-triple-spoke alloy wheels (P225/45 R19 Front & P245/40 R19 Rear) Front Rim Description 19x8.5 Rear Rim Description 19x9.0 The Base Model Q60 or in Japan 370GT 18 inch 10 spoke alloy wheels • (P225/50 R18 Front & P245/45 R18 Rear) I will hopefully let you know tomorrow what brand.

N.s.w-Demo, Sell By Build Date, Compliance Date?
Black Dog replied to Black Dog's topic in New South Wales
Ok... They sure have it both ways then. I bet when it comes to resale it will be based on Build date Like I said in S.A , no matter what, the car has to be sold by the build date. I must say its a bit disappointing, from what I have found out it is a bit of a grey area. I also would have thought the rule/law would change when it has been registered? I would expect that from a dubious used car sales place etc. but not from a premium dealer especially when forking out a bit of coin. Would be nice if they said it's really a 2013, another lesson learnt I guess, don't trust anyone I also thought it would change things when it's been registered all ready, -
Hi all, I have been trying to get some information clarified. In NSW, legally how is a car dealer meant to advertise a Demo car that has been registered. Is the advertised year determined by Build date or Compliance date? For example, a car has build date of 2013, compliance date of 2014 and is a MY14. It is a demo car that has had registration for three months. What year are they legally meant to advertise it as? Again it's a Demo, so I guess that would qualify it as a used car? If so I'm sure that should change things? I know it's a bit of a grey area especially when it comes to a brand new car, It is also different in each state. In S.A it doesn't matter if it's a brand spanking new car, a demo or a fully used car, it has to be advertised by the build date. Again just after information for N.S.W. I would Appreciate any help. Cheers, Paul

So.. I'm Getting A R34 Gtr, Need Few Help Pls.
Black Dog replied to Edifier's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Holly crap Jun, what a damn hassle for you. Happy to hear it all worked out. I really wish that business got what it deserves, shonky as. I totally agree with the above comments, this forum also saved me from buying through another, let's say, a less then honourable place. There is a lot of them out there when it comes to grey imports. If able to its always best to go through a broker service, another +1 for Iron Chef Imports. However it seems you have some great examples already offered to you, I reckon you can trust Terry... Just maybe Actually perhaps that's an ill timed joke, yes you can trust Terry and co I also can not wait to find out what you end up with. Please post pics when you do get your baby/beast. All the best. -
Haha, yeah got a bit carried away When I was Going to get the import one it was such a hassle and concern regarding the conversion etc. So it's a big relief I don't have to worry about all that now. I will post some pics when I get her, that's if I'm still allowed on this site? Anyway we all know it's still a Skyline at the end of the day Thanks for that though mate. Yeah seriously if anyone is considering buying a local one (not grey import) now is a great time to get one. Most will be aware they are struggling at the moment to gain a foothold in the local market, especially with their current line up (soon to change) so they are keen to get bums in seat. So if thinking of going that way, now is the time to go for it

I would like to add another one for Iron Chef Imports. I hope it will count. For full disclosure, I did not get to the stage of having a car landed and complied (reason below) however I did go through every other process involved. Searching for a car etc. I have to say Troy was brilliant, nothing was to much trouble and I sure bugged him a heck of a lot. The process was very easy all my concerns were met and I felt completely secure during it all. The reason I did not get one landed, was because in the end I decided I wanted a new model vehicle and because of import laws (car now sold in Australia, I couldn't import) I ended up buying a 2014 Australian car, NOT a import.

Just finalised a deal on a 2014 Q60 S Coupe. Hopefully it arrives this week coming. I was initially going to get the import top spec but I wanted a later model one and for the price I was going to spend on that, as I went along it seemed more like a crazy option, if I had come across this car when they were first released in Japan then it would be a no brainer to import or if I still only wanted a earlier model today. Considering that once I had it here none of the Tech worked, you know like Sat Nav, no Cruise or if it had cruise it was limited, everything was in Japanese and no warranty plus limited options when it came time to sell (no trade in at most places etc) Now we all know it's bad manners to talk about money spent etc in public however I can tell you I paid absolutely no where near the price advertised. I ended up with a new Q60 S Coupe, 4 year warranty and 4 year roadside assist and the biggest advantage, everything works nothing is in Japanese, I don't have to screw around with Sat NaV etc, all the info and warnings are no probs, I can set the cruise to what I want and on top of that way more options when it comes time to sell. So I'm 100% satisfied with my decision and cannot wait for it to get here.

I'm trying to find out what years Nissan Skyline V36 Coupe used the colour code KAD. It appears it's been around for a while in the USA G series, but I can't confirm what years for the Japanese Skyline. It's also being used on the R35 GT-R and I think the 370Z If anyone can help I would appreciate it heaps. As I'm trying to import one in that colour. Cheers,

Skyline V36 Vs Infiniti Q60 Coupe
Black Dog replied to Black Dog's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
My brain always works overtime, there's no off button for this one It's not a brand new car, hence the reduction in price and some other factors as mentioned. There is no way I would pay $80,000 + for this car. I really would have thought that a locally sold car that has everything already in English and set up for Australia (Sat Nav etc) would have a better chance at keeping some resale value and the general public would readily accept it over a import one. Also a big one is it would be freely accepted as a trade in at any car dealership. Where as I wouldn't think a lot of dealers would take a import as a trade in? Please correct me if I'm wrong. There is no doubting that getting one from Japan is the bargain of the century, but it's just like I said, I want to try and cover all my bases. Now I know this isn't always possible, however I'm trying to find out as much info as I can. And I can't think of another place better than this forum, to get that knowledge from. -
Even just to chuck stuff on, it's a handy option. When I first started thinking about getting another car, I was originally going to spend only $10,000 on a 300Z for a play around, that's what started the whole ball rolling with my first import & Nissan. Then it went to the 350Z & so on.... Here I am now, searching for a 370GT coupe and a hell of a lot more money going into it. Gotta love the cars/toys the whole process turns into the making of a monster before you know it Wow, now that's putting it to the test, I like it Cool kids in the backseat of a cool ride if you dropped them off to school in that, you will be a hit with everyone, they will be going like Wow your Dad is so cool what a sick ride that's if they still say sick these days? So your's is a coupe isn't it Andrew? When I did my trip to Adelaide recently, I got to sit in a 370Z (first time, no drive though) & yeah it's very nice, just too impractical, all it had was those two little compartments behind the seats. It might carry a six pack if you're lucky but that's about it. Still love them though. On the same trip I also got to sit in a V36 coupe, again first time. Still haven't driven one and won't get a chance to do so until when & if my one arrives. I was pleasantly surprised about the back seats and how much room there was. Well pretty good for leg room but not head space. I'm over 6'2 so there was no way I could sit up properly, not without doing some serious acrobatic moves with my neck. I felt like a damn giraffe.... That's the beauty though about being the owner, you never have to worry about travelling in the back seat of your own car
