  1. Hmm.... All of it, Lachlan?? I honestly cannot understand how someone can "really not like" daft punk... You mean their new album? Or just in general
  2. Currently listening: Back into filthy rap music. Pusha T, Tyga, Slaughterhouse etc Also kaskade, late night alumni, new presets is good also!! And Ray Charles.
  3. ...do you smoke, benji?? Take pre-workout supplements?? Drink coke?? That'd be more detrimental I think
  4. any decent pre 89 car in JP is worth their pound of flesh. there are collectors over there much more hardcore than what they are over here. what i don't understand is. you're looking for a ~25 year old or older car... and you want it to handle well and drive fast?? small piece of insight - old cars break and like to be babied a bit. i have a 1997 Toyota Soarer which I have fun in a bit... but even that i baby because it's a reasonably old car... i have a 88 Toyota crown as my oldschool cruiser... now THAT gets babied a lot. slowly. why? its old. parts are hard to find. trust me bro. last thing you want to do is "thrash" a F30 leopard!!!
  5. Ha. ha. You have got to be kidding.
  6. Hey all Basic story short Have been hard up for money for part of my adult life. Know how it feels. For once in life I'm actually up. Want to help those who deserve it. Anybody know some advice or inroads I can aid those in need? Keen to help out. Pm me unlikely here but worth a try

    Cruise 12/10

Awe I missed this. Good thing I'm at work >.<
  8. also - the above examples are all cars i've found whilst trying to find my dad a good 30 soarer to replace his one that sadly got stolen and smashed... again.. I'm chasing a very very very particular *kind* of soarer with particular trim level etc etc - i wouldn't expect my broker to spend all day scouring to see in the off chance that my dad's dream car will pop up for sale... where as I make a hobby out of it.
  9. Yes, I definitely see what you're saying, Phil.. however (this is just my personal experience) we as customers receive emails providing: a list of today's V36 Skylines, because that what the customer has told their broker that's what they want (for example) however a customer like myself likes to BROWSE and i mean dig in the deep dank dirty crates... for example today on J-spec i've seen a GX71 Mark2 with custom 2 tone paint in shakotan / vip style, an X60 Cresta as Garuchan, an S120 Toyota crown lowered with low km grade 4 which looks to be built by charge speed.. (i think) Cars like this - I wouldnt expect my broker to find and frankly with something so personal as buying an "old heap of shit" I like to just "shop" for them... I wouldn't expect my import broker to find me say: a 430 Cedric Gloria hotrod with glitter paint.. etc etc.. this is why i like to browse myself... do any brokers offer a service where we as a customer shell out a fee to just browse auctions? cos I'd be *really* down for that.. and many of my friends would as well.. i love browsing and would consider importing a car like: I would be looking for a car like this to add to my collection potentially, but as I said, I couldn't expect my broker to scour the USS auctions all day finding my a shakotan kyusha. or garuchan or kaido racer etc.. do you offer that browsing function as a service? (FYI the attached image is a S120 Crown, with aero kit, with BBS RS, with aero sunroof spoiler, with rain diffusers, these parts are REALLY rare finds.) (its also grade 4 and 6x,xxx km - a guy like me would GLADLY import that!!)
  10. Hi everyone Many moons ago; certain websites used to offer a free browsing service of the USS japan auctions.. and other auction sites. this is a 2012 current modern database of how to browse cars eligible for import. www.directimported.com used to offer a link which enabled free browsing of the auctions, but whichever provider they were feeding it through ceased the service at some stage in 2011 I believe.. which was unfortunate. Then I was using www.japaneseusedcars.com to browse free auctions... however about a fortnight ago they also have stopped their viewing service So far the only ones left i know of that offer a free auction viewing service are: www.J-Spec.com.au and www.importmonster.com.au is there any other ways to view the USS auctions at all? lets build up a knowledge base xoxo Gossip Row.
  11. Bump. Are these available yet via brokers?? Jzs / uzs?
  12. hahaha exactly, (to the second paragraph) it is an odd hobby for someone to take up... advertising a company that they are not affiliated with.. ps iron chef / import monster for joint president 2014.
  13. ahhahaha no i was referring to the post above yours its an odd thing for someone to basically advertise someone like that
  14. What he is trying to say is Get an NSX
  15. ^^^ yes but some people don't care about that.. For example: My friends car GX71 toyota chaser Factory manual 71,000km true reading with full paperwork One owner in japan No Modifications Non smoke car Truly immaculate interior and immaculate body Worth financially nothing in reality However he's one of less than five Toyota X70 chaser owners in Australia. He's only heard of ONE other chaser driver in Sydney and thats just here say So in that regard there's more to it that meets the eye But You will Never find *that* with an R33
  16. I will say - yes. You will get a better car through importation. Why? Because if you're from Perth, look at your typical R33 / R34 owner. Tight V neck tshirt with a big number on the front of it. Muay Thai training every Tuesday n thursday night, miniature boxing gloves hanging from the mirror to let other patrons know that you do MMA.. They're not "car" enthusiasts. Japanese r33 owner however (what's left of them) are interested and treat them as hobbies, Any car that you can see is worthy of import from Japan... Is going to be better than Your average gumtree car. So in that regard - yeah it's better to import. That said, import is a lot more expensive. But I think its worth it because I'm a snob. Importing is an enthusiast game... Not a poor persons game. I'd also like to add... You'd have to be a massive retard to import an R33 / R34 with so many other options available these days, in contrast though... That's what people said about me getting a 30 soarer.. And to this date I have still yet to see a nicer 30 soarer in aus. But that's just me - I'd rather have an old but nice car, than a new flavor of last months car... Such as a v35.
  17. So jzs but not UzS?? That's bloody confusing cos there's the majesta looking one on carsales that claims it a sevs car... Although they're photos of a car from Japan so they probably don't know what they're doing
  18. You'd need to speak to someone other than myself for a confirmation regards to 17 crown but as far as I know, they're still at test car phase, I was going to do the test car myself however life got in the way and I didn't.... BUT there is a 17 crown on carsales of someone saying they can now import them... But that's a crown comfort they're featuring, not a majesta (that's the NA 2j version which is kinda odd considering the crown comfort never made it to import approval.... So maybe they're a typo and are dumb and the crown IS now ready for compliance?) Either way, you'd need to speak to *someone* else. As for F50 cima compliance, if it's got airbags etc like aftermarket air runner system... Id advise against it. Compliance shops are supposed to make the car comply as close to the engineering guidelines laid out for that car as possible... Meaning, "compliance" to the rules... Meaning... No suspension mods. No rims. No pod filters.. No body kits. Nothing. However, the truth is... Certain shops will "turn a blind eye" to certain things because it's impossible for them to be reprimanded for it, as they can simply pass the buck and say "wasn't my fault" So, you can have a shop that'll say "Nup not complying that we need to change the suspension" and charge you a grand for the labour involved... Or change your plug n play HID kit over to regular bulbs n charge you 500 for labour... Or charge you $70 for "preinspection" You could get a shop that does that, like DownUnder Autos located in Wangara (sup guys) Or you could end up on the other end of the stick like me... And import two highly modified cars that shouldn't have ever passed compliance but had the blind eye turned, and just got "put through" with no complaice work done and left me to clean up the mess (lucky for them i am able to clean up their negligent activities) Like Luxury and Performance Vehicles in Melbourne (sup guys) so yeah. It's best to speak to GOOD brokers like iron chef and import monster for the 411... They know their stuff and can point you into the right directions For common sense however i advise against importing a bagged car... It's always gonna be headache complying and even bigger headache to register!!! Good luck!!
  19. They are now so cheap that it's literally a no brainer. You'd be mad not to import one, really. I personally pick the uzs171 Toyota crown majesta... Buuuut that's just me. The F50 cima has gotten so cheap that they're very justifyiable to import... Nobody buys them however because they're not cookie cutter rwd turbo manual imports... Things you *do* need to be aware of, though... Satnav will obviously not work... Which isn't that important cos lets face it - how often do you REALLY use satnav. You'll need to sort out a stereo of some sort down the track... I think metra make an adaptation kit however.. But that's not that important either... Lastly, the suspension setup... If you can... Try to get one that already has adjustable coilovers installed... The setup is the old school gear that needs to be welded into the hub and custom installed... So when you want low... And- you will... It can be difficult trying to get them installed if you don't know what you're doing :-) Hope that helps, and happy hunting!!
  20. Spotted Eric or some other dude with a gtrLM r33 last weekend (long weekend) That's about the last n first time I would've seen any sauwa dudes that haven't got absolute shitbuckets of cars in a long time! But this gtrLM looked good... Good to see. Oh few months back saw a V35 slammed on big wheels running big stance big camber and lowwww height. We drove up Beaufort street together. White V35 slammed n tucked no china rims riding slow. Black jz30 slammed n tucked no china rims riding slow. Was a nice breakup between the monotonous porsches, Ferraris, gt35R and lambos that grace Beaufort street with their presence on a Sunday afternoon :-p
  21. News flash: Turbos are gay. The novelty wears off after a while. I don't have one of those PSSSSHHHFFFFTTTTT blow off valves on my car. Infact I had an apexi pod filter, but I took even THAT off because it made the factory bov a bit loud, I hate the idea that someone could one day see my car n think "his car sounds a bit like that wrx we saw with the driver that has his hat on backwards" Turbos are gay.
  22. Omg shut up la bomba..!! Go fix it if you care so much. Kristian - wow that's exactly what I was talking about!!!!
