  3. oh yeah? well my dad has a car like fred flinstone.... he imported it from bedrock! compliance was a killer but man that thing turns heads when we be ROLLIN'.

  5. yes... that's what being a police officer is all about, they just... sit in their offices n think... let's defect a car and annoy someone
  6. dude that's not even funny... why is it that whenever this happens we always have some "comedian" come in and attack someone they don't even know? there is absolutely no need for that sort of grass cutting banter. please edit your post dude, save that for the wasteland don't you think?
  7. MvR3408 - Hey man, HID is a complete conversion kit for your lights... just a quick explanation your exsisting halogen lights have a tungsten(?) fillament which converts electricity to high heat, causing the fillament to glow and emit light which is reflected off from your headlights onto the road, much like a household globe. HID lighting is a completely different form of lighting, there is no fillament whatsoever, just the glass and highly compressed gas, much like a fluro light only a lot more compressed. this is why when you flick on HID's they take a few seconds to light up, because the gas molecules need a few seconds to vibrate and emit light... in lames terms, your HID lights use little to no heat, because there is no heat being used... only gas! ...I think that's how HID's work anyway... seems to be like that on my cefiro! I have 6000K and i have projectors and i get full sunshine light spectrum... I love it, if you go HID you will NEVER EVER look back, it's so amazing coming from a cefiro where the lights are so dull to being able to see the reflectors of signs light up at about a kilometre away... I got mine fitted and supplied by J-shop in Perth, $220 for the kit $80 for fitment and aiming of lights, the $80 included a one year warranty on them you can buy a set off them for $220... www.jshop.com.au
  8. nein. different loom pinouts.
  9. Gentlemen... ...I'm chasing an A31 cefiro RB20DET ECU this is proving to be quite difficult... i've TRIED using the search button... can't find one ANYWHERE can anybody point me in SOME SORT of a lead? ta.
  10. wtf??? no really... Wtf!?! never seen that before, perhaps it could be an idea to get in touch with a suspension specialist?
  11. i also cannot see the pics... but i would like to see the pics...but i can't... cos they're not there..
  12. well if your brother is like me and gets attached to his ride (there are very few cefiros in wa now so to have one that's RB20de+T is very unique) I dunno how much labour costs but it's not that hard to do it yourself! I've outlayed about 1grand, give or take... actually, quick cost breakdown for you! this is for me you won't have the exact same experience as I've had cos I have got a lot of help from friends etc... FANTASTIC friends at that! turbo parts for RB20 - $300 Injectors for RB20DET-$50 Highflowing/recon of the injectors $120 new spark plugs $120 or something like that hose work done by Enzed - $240 (water feed lines from heater and oil lines etc) Stainless Manifold + Dump -$350 Labour - free cos I've done it myself, I'm not a mechanic I just get in there n DO IT there is a few extras on top of that but they're insignificant... such as R34 SMIC upgrade etc... soooooooooo all up... $1 180 approx... but I'll have to Re-flash my cefiro ECU still, get a dyno tune, few extra things like fuel pump etc but I've saved a LOT of money on labour cost by DIY... ...basically, if you're not doing it yourself, then ti would be wiser to get an RB25det and recon it... might work out being cheaper than paying someone to turbo a DE... plus yeah... I mean there are many avenues of doing these things! but saying that the RB25 is getting old... I mean come on... Nissans are bulletproof! don't be so daft... it's cheap oldschool power of a turbo'd eclectic simple engine! and yeah... good luck! just don't worry about this bridge until you cross it... that's all I can tell you
  13. wait, what's this relevant to? I work at DPI... Wa... what's this all about? PM me...
  14. lol @ legal AIDS. haha uh-hyuk! down here in victoria we likes our sister punch and our laws stupid? (at windows down being an offence) I really doubt the parents will get a lawyer, there's no reason to even say things like that this isn't the OC it's real life the parents won't even care let alone take him to court... ...sheesh so melodramatic
  15. ...i dunno! BUT WHY would you do that?! are you hoping to make even less power?
  16. i personally wouldn't take advice from anyone on this matter unelss they have gone thru the process themselves, I've turboed the RB20 in my cefiro, the nissan engines are a strong build there aren't that many factory differences i say just do it... that said don't bother about it now, you're talking 3 years down the track, just enjoy life while you can, but that said, there is the possibility of just doing an engine swap... or even upgrading to a factory turbo, they are easier but if you want rewarding you can't go past the DIY route!
  17. I can't comment on the matter myself but all I can say is I'm sorry to hear this experience and change your mechanic!
  18. oh those r32 gts-t vspecs are really rare these days... good luck trying to find one... look. paint is expensive. fact. even if you go down the path of doing this yourself understand that paint alone will cost about $200.. if you paid $300 for the car then that's what it is - a $300 car... don't bother! focus your mind on more important things in life.. these thoughts of painting your car will soon enough will evaporate from your mind. save your money up, sell your R30. and save up until you can buy a GTS-T R32 VSPEC why are you buying a gts-t vpsec? why not get the gts-t NuR edition? or the R32 Z-tune?
  19. i suppose you already know this but first coat, is far away and move your hand fairly quickly, and fairly far away from the primered surface to make the most rough as guts paint job to give it somewhat of a bumpy surface... this will give the top coat something to hold onto then the topcoat hold the gun a little bit closer and move it a bit slower, the aim of this is to try to flood the bumps which will grip the paint. try to avoid drips etc, basically by flooding the bumps with the paint it gives no bumps to worry about ruining your gloss shine and it looks really really juicy... ...keep in mind this is by NO means genuine advice I am in no position to even comment, but I build scale model cars as a hobby and this method works perfect for me, the only advice that I can offer, is why not try polishing buffing and waxing your original paint? unless you're changing the colour... it's much cheaper and will restore the gleam it had as if it had just rolled off the production line! the only real advice I can offer is I know it's just an R30 skyline and you're probably looking for a cheap way out of this, but trust me, when it comes time to sell and your paint looks like a ballsack backyard spray job? Nobody will buy into that... so maybe it's best to just save up and get a profesisonal respray? you can get a cheap one done for about 700 i think?
  20. hahahaha i'm sure 3/4 of the old cefiro owners have since sold their cars and movd onto something else, so I wouldn't bother! everyone's always buying or seeling them these days!
  21. same! so i'm not the only one
  22. yeah, One thing i Think we can all agree on, is that all HICAS. Particularly earlier versions. suck. and cause us all greif whether we're drifters draggers drivers racers or whatever.
  23. It means you have a faulty HICAS Look I have no problem with people drifting, but i DO have a problem with EVERYONE drifting. cos when EVERYONE drifts, that's when the commodore fans get into it and do it on the street, infact just this weekend i saw 2 commodores wrap themselves around telegraph poles trying to do it. I also have a problem with drifters, not naming any names, you guys know who you are... you're all just so smug! like what you do is any better than anyone else? In my mind, you're a dumb retard that doesn't appreciate what a beautiful piece of machinery a japanese car is. I worked really hard for the car that I own. with no loans from anyone, so maybe that haas taught me to treat it with respect for what it is? a nice car. No panel damages. No scratches. Original paint. Pristine interior. Pristine engine. So next time you go parading your self satisfied bullcrap. think before you type
