  1. oh dude that monkey is so wrong. yet i can't bare to look away... so... so wrong...
  2. i don't understand why these changes have been made, importing cars doesn't harm our local industry at all, the people who are going to buy a new commodore aren't going to go hunting around for a 15 years old GT-R same deal as the people who want ceffy's or gtrs or silvias or whatever aren't going to even consider buying a new commodore or falcon, the entire purpose of the 15 year rule was put in place initially because older australian cars were run down to the bone, (look at the VL commodores) it was there so that younger drivers could get a decent car for decent money while they sorted their lives out, and in that sense it was good, i'm 19 work at coles part time and yet i managed to buy myself a cefiro with 45000 kms for $6500, think about it, in this country what's $6500 going to buy you? a dodgy example of VK / EA (the worst) commodores and falcons, or a dodgy 80's magna with ridiculously high k's oh that's another thing, i bought the car when i was 18, no finance, no help from parents, older brother assisted me with knowledge of how to privately import but other than that i got a brand new car for $6500, the dent that the 15 year rule would have made in the local car industry would be less than miniscule, i truly cannot comprehend why they would have stopped this, now it means that P-Plate drivers will have to downgrade to VL commodores, which despite being ugly dogs of cars, but they are prone to breaking down and exploding spontaneously, not to mention the dodgy suspension they have which attracts defect notices and when you get a defect on an old commodore you're pretty much f**ked, friend of mine paid $5500 for a VK commodore with a group A bodykit, so many kms on it, headlight blew, got a defect notice for it, took to the pits, they found hundreds of things wrong with it so he tried to sell it because it would have cost about 5K to fix, nobody bought it so he had it crushed.... that's a waste of money, where was i going with that story, oh yeah, buying a second hand commodore isn't helping local insdutry at all it's a seperate market, i just can't see why it was stopped personally, the way i see it is importers will piss and moan enough until the gov't changes the rules yet again
  3. oh. my. god. i am so putting that in my bro's 180 cos he has to drive to work at 5am. it'll be the funniest prank ever.
  4. i don't know why but for some reason i really wanna know what having strobe lights in your car does
  5. i say pick up something with low kms, you know what low kms are, and one that's been looked after, i'd get a non turbo auto, and pick up a skyline front clip, reason being, the manual box they put in the cefiro / laurel isn't as strong as the skyline and they have lower ratios, and the engine's are different compression or some sh*t i heard, that's what i'd do anyway, buying fully modded ones is a bad bad path,
  6. first off, here is a malaysian chap's cefiro, built from ground up, this website tells an epic story of car vs. moron http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/672846 read pages one through 6, watch and learn how he builds a ripper car and what his mind does to it, genius.... sheer genius... http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/728482 another chap whom built his ride ground up, looks nice esp. interior if i say so myself, but i must say i'm glad i haven't got the poo brown interior goin' on! :kick: not exactly sure where he's from... anybody seen it in aust? http://forums.subdriven.com/zerothread?id=...postid=18516233 some stupid moronic americans raggin on what is actually a really nice ceffy someone's thinking of buying... god dammit americans know nothing. note the chap suggesting the western maxima... :bs!: http://www.doylecrash.com.au/rpmrb26.htm i can't believe none of you adelaide people have found out about this little beast!!! not personally too big a fan of the colour myself, but hot diggity dog this is a very nice RB26 ceffy, i likes the way the wheels erm.... brutishly stick out of the car anyway im off to bed, goodnight suckers!
  7. Just think of the roar of your engine...the heat of the flames, the envy of the street, the melted paint you'll be dealing with, DEFECT after DEFECT after defect, oh... and let's not forget the massive tank of fuel sitting in front of these flames, call me crazy but in my course of life fire and fuel aren't a good mix when you're trying to drive somewhere or impress some girls.
  8. yeah cos i took it to them they only charged me $88, (80 + GST + a further 8 bucks for new fluid)
  9. s'ok nico i have done it already, i drove it down and got them to... as you said, olive join the piping =) they didn't know what to do i had to explain it lol rofl bbq
  10. i am taking the f*cker off tommorow and getting enzed to fix it after beating it with a stick, apart from bolts is there anything i should know about it before getting under my broom broom and removing bolts? i am to understand this is a c*nt of a job, sounds like fun! then again i owned an N13 pulsar, and working on the simplest things on them is always a c*nt, even washing, so this should be a breeze, right?
  11. OMFG BBQ THOSE VENTS ARE PIECES OF CRAP! i have a low kms cef and it fell off the DAY I GOT THE THING. it's now sitting in three pieces on my floor
  12. well i can't answer the handbrake concern, but picture this situation: you "donated" your box to someone on the forums, you've had a bad day at work, you have bills to pay, you haven't been laid in months, years infact, your parents are visiting ina few days and your lawn is dead, and the house is a mess and you know they will chew you out for it, your boss is a jerk, and the radio keeps playing sh!t music, to top it off bottlo just closed for the night and your weedman is out of town... but alas, in the corner of the room, is the biggest, best stick you've ever seen, wouldn't you wish you had an automatic RB20 gearbox lieing around to beat? ....dude this could happen to anybody.... ESPECIALLY you man... ESPECIALLY you.
  13. is this cefiro boss kit? matches up with S13?
  14. you can get a catback sent to you from perth for a much cheaper price than that, i'll get back to you on it, 3" mandrel bent catback for cefiro great sound but if your ceffy is non turbo it can be ever so loud
  15. ok what you need to do first is take that auto and do away with it, then get a manual conversion, easy as that!
  16. yeah i know where it runs RV i think they probably wanted to do what you said, ok so i'll tell them to simply replace the ruptured section for me and if they say no then.... well.... i'll deal with no power steering cos i ain't paying that much! nebuchmeizzer: i've read the entire ECU can just go "kerplunk" if they haven't been looked after too well and high mileage, n i doubt you'd really be too inclined to find yourself stranded on the side of the road somewhere with a car that's gonna cost thousands to fix, also, as far as "cosmetic" electrics go you have proto-type 80's technology and you KNOW nothing good EVER came out of the 80's technology wise... IE: hicas, automatic lights that turn on for you, power windows, central locking, etc etc etc... not trying to scare you or anything but it's best to look at things realistically other than optimistically =) only problem i've had with my one is the power steering hose, other than that GREAT car, ABLSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, if you have the money though (making the assumtion you're a mechanic) i would buy a virgin stock one and build it up from there that way you don't have to maintain + mod, knaww meeen?
  17. i'd stay away from both of them n wait for a good one to come up, i bought a plain ceffy with virgin kilometres n i've had no troubles with it but i've read somewhere that as ceffy's get high mileage their electrics can have terirble problems, riverside my power steering hose has ruptured and enzed (in wa) quoted me $350? are they gay here or am i being taken for a retart?
  18. "dubs" will be whatever i say they are dagnabbit! kursed i have 18x 7.5 on my car and it's sitting quite low, (QUITE low) tell me if they look like 17s?
  19. put it this way pimpdat you wouldn't wanna lower your car too much with 10 inch on the rear, especially with 9 inches on the front, but if you're going for the "pimmped out" look then they'd look quite porngraphic on a cefiro
  20. oOOo kursed is getting dubs on his virgin ceffy! i have 18 x 7.5 post pics of the wheel, or type, i want new wheels, just so i can interchange them for how my pimp lean is feeling... i want some mesh high polish steel with the lowrider gold spinner in the centre =) drooool
  21. the "import wreckers" near me wanted $170 for the skyline grill mind you it's run by vietnamese folk who when they see whitefella like me come in it's a bit like "oh harro! here come shtuupid white kid! ret's see how much we can freece him for! har har" if you're thinking about going ahead with the project good luck and make me one too while youre at it, if i was to change grills myself i would definately go this way aobut it, falinign that get the laurel style grill.... perhaps it would be feasible CC if you looked on the SAU classifieds?
  22. =) yeah guys just like that, that was the "U" shaped R33 grill i was referring to
  23. ...a mistake involving you throw various car parts atop the roof of your residence? i feel like that sometimes too...
