update: just called TIO to have another cry - they're re-exacalating my complaint update: it's $1900 they're chasin my gf for.. basically... just because the australian government demands that you are released from your contract - DOESN'T mean that the resolutions team tells the inbound accounts teams in Punjabi.
-
hey guys i think it's time ROW-DOGG weighed in on this.. long story short - months ago me and my gf got off vodafone via the TIO (ombudsman) they got us out of our contracts because vodafone disconnected my service because they stuffed up a direct debit - then billed me for hundreds of dollars worth of service not used.. basically charged me for about 600$ worth of things i never used but wouldn't allow me to pay my own bill (due to lack of customer service) my girlfriend got off contract due to sh1tty coverage... won't get too much into it - but months after us being released free of charge via vodafone... my gf has a court summons and debt colelctors chasing her for $1700 due to "early unwarranted termination of contract" and i'm being given final demand notices for a $60 phonebill which is relevent for periods after i was released from my contract. my girlfriend is now considering sueing vodafone because her case was a very drawn out process and and is tired of getting phonecalls everyday from lawyers threatening taking legal action upon her. vodafone can suck 10 dicks.

ummmmm... hate to come off as "rude" or anything and trust me im not inteding to sound rude.. but like... at 60 grand worth of GTR and this much work on it... do you really think that it would be an un-complied car? i mean, skylinesaustralia IS above all a community.. i would say there's a good chance the owner of that car is on here... and there's a good chance he may read this thread.. do you think he'd appreciate that someone is saying his car is "dodgy and questioning the legality of it? loose lips sink ships.. and, being that it's not you buying nor selling the car.. i don't really think that it's .. (trying not to sound rude) but i don't see how it's any of your business... furthermore - what is an "import sticker" - do you mean compliance plate? how do you know it doesn't have one? do you even know where to look? perhaps you should maybe ask questions before "assuming" it's a dodgy import.. oh and one more thing... these "dodgy R32's around" that you wonder if they're legal... care to elaborate on what you mean by that?

Lol chill out were all just being gay fags. Or at least hanaldo is Well,... Seats may be a bit difficult if you're ... Well.. Dumb. But I get all my interior retrims done up in Bali. For a few reasons: 1) I'm all for supporting local businesses that are friendly towards ME - I don't know any that are friendly as yet. 2) the shop in Bali are friends of mine and do great work 3) the shop in Bali that I speak of, retrimmed the gear stick and the handbrake boot for 50,000 rupiah (about 6 bucks) and did a fantastic job using good foam underlays etc. In two tone leather I might add So my advice is, if you go to Bali often.. Just strip the covers off the parts you want and I'll point you as to where to find it!! The guys there do incredible custom work to plain oem fabric interiors..they're really talented!

Op I wasn't saying that was you by any stretch of the imagination man, putnit this way if I thought you were one of them I would not have said anything, I'll repeat what I said earlier... Generally speaking these cars are priced at what they are worth. End of story... Same goes for japan also with importation of cars... A few weeks back I saw a R32 Gtr get sold for what would have worked out to be 37 grand in Aussie dollars... And that's in japan.. Where everyone thinks That car depreciate like mental... Welcome to the market of imported cars... Some cars are worth nothing... Some cara are worth thousands n thousands more
-
As for OP if you're looking to reasons to justify to yourself a guilty conscience for lowballing some guys hard work... Don't. Seriously if you have 10 grand and want an R34 for instance, please give up. I really hate how (not saying this is you) but I really hate people that are hmm 19 or 20 and want an R34 and have 8grand they're willig to spend.. Seriously there are people like that.. Shit. I actually know of two wankers one in Perth one in Sydney that are putting out wanted to buys for Toyota soarers with extensive service history and they both want them to be well looked after and they're willing to pay UP TO 4 grand for a perfect magical soarer. Those people are bogan dickwads. If youre like them then seriously fwark off!!!! People who say "these cars are old therefore they're worth nothing" Are what brings the value down of these imported cars. The guy that we just sold the soarer to... Asked me why is our soarer costing an extra grand than what ahmed hussiens 5k soarer from the other side of town is costing, and I said to him... Brand new water pump, whole file worth of service history, upgraded radiator fans, Japanese forged wheels, bridgestone tyres, new timing belt, new brakes, new battery, fresh rego. He checked everything over and agreed that it was a well maintained import and was definitely worth what he was paying for it.. Which it was... Obviously if you're looking at clapped out R34 that have never had an oil change since being in Australia and still has the wako's oil filter .. Has cig burns all over it and brown stain on drivers seat and mysteriously has only done 42,000km etc then obviously that car is not worth 15k.. But if that R34 is a fair say 15k.. Looks immaculate. Has a nice engine that has been freshly serviced and owner has taken good care of it then why CAN'T he have 15k for it?? I mean what cars can you buy these days that are a head turning turbo coupe with all the modern features? If you cant afford an import.. Don't buy one. Go buy a Hyundai Getz instead.. Obviously that doesn't answer your question but yeah long and short is... An imported car is worth what the car is worth. Not it's age. Not it's km. Not it's colour. Etc

Errrrrrrmmmm To be quite honest ... This thread are things that help kill the value. Ie: Saying they lose value.. Is what causes value drops.. Dealers saying they're worthless and nobody wants them. Is what helps kill the value. Dealers that say that are what makes a certain dick head that I know called up a guy selling a well maintained s14a with mods and is asking 13.5k for it and offer that guy 8.5k People like that destroy the value of cars. Value means nothing. For what it's worth. I imported my cefiro in 2004 and had it landed complied registered for 6.4k... In 2004 I sold it in 2010 for 7.5k 1100 dollars appreciating value over six years. Can't complain about that??? In 2006 my mum bought a soarer for 7k... Last weekend we sold it for 6.5 k 500 bucks depreciation over 5 years... Can't complain about that? Skylines are a different ballpark mind you... A bit more common and most people that WANT them... Already own them

FYI. I'm organizing a large scale meet in the coming weeks. There will be a cruise involved and many opportunities for nice pics to be taken... So if that guy from Singapore who loves r32 could come that'd be excellent.. Ps I expect to see every single one of you homos there. There will be that game you guys love... Four minutes in the closet or whatever you guys call it
-
Oh my god. Yes. It can not be that hard surely. Have you got a Japanese built or imported Japanese car? Is it so good looking that you want other people to see it? Is it built during the times of when Japanese cars were not eco friendly hybrids? Do you agree to not drive or behave like an idiot during the meet and cruise?? If you answer yes to all of the above. You will be welcomed with open arms.

f**k off. Enough already

Okay so let it be set. I'm organizing a huge cruise for you all in the near future. It will involve all types of cool stuff. Sooo watch the events section in coming days /weeks and let me work my magic!
-
Well I'll organize one then for the week after next sometime. Cool cool? First person who answers this gets the prize. Should this be mid week or Weekend? Actually if it's a special night I vote make it a weekend night And should it be an open cruise? Or shall I make another golden era FR sedan cruise... Bear in mind I no longer drive an FR sedan I reckon FR sedan cruise would be sweet... Get Toyota crew on board this time Or how about golden era JDM cruise? I like that idea
