its a real shame that theres no good car importers in adelaide... There really should be someone who knows how to bring in cars... In adelaide... Ps as you know by now.. You cannot import for 4 grand unfortunately.. And even if you could. Why would you... I tell this to everyone, even people i dont know in the street... I tell em... Why import cheap cars.. I mean u gotta pay brokerage, fob, shipping, quaarantine, steamclean, customs, tax, gst.. Compliance, towing... Rego etc... Why cheap out on the car?? honestly???? from my PERSONAL experience??? if it's running, DRIVE it back. if it's NOT running however... ...get in touch with a fair weather friend with a car trailer. borrow / rent it... buy him whatever he wants. after all - he's a fair weather friend. show him what REAL mates rates are. buy him a carton or three of his favourite imported beer... clean his gutters out... see if he'll lend you his ute to tow it too... if not - rent one from bunnings. get the trailer and the ute - and connect the two. drive up to sydney - pick up the car. and tow it back your god damn selves. do it over the course of a weekend. you'll save HUNDREDS of dollars. and get the car in exactly the way you had it before. i transported two cars. one had a few scrapes on the bumper, small scratch on the bootlid no big deal... the other car, flat battery... battery had been arced and fried. blow two major fuses @ $40 and a $1000 price for EACH car. i live in WA. i didn't have a choice. you do have a choice.. grab your mate. and handle your biz.

to clarify - AFAIK there has been NO use of turbo in JGTC (now GTC) for YEARS now... reason being is becuase of the power regulations means that turbo lag plays a huge part in the cars ability to corner etc... nissan GTR is a V8.. cerumo / toms / woodone supras were all V8.. they're just very very highly tuned V8's so that there is lots of peak power but also low down torque as well.. back on topic! do i think it's a good thing... ...well yeah sure, why wouldn't i want to see another contender in a racing series with two dedicated manufacturers that make two very similar cars.. but as shan said... the commodore / falcon cars are essentially the exact same guys just with different shells..
