  1. ^^^dont listen to beer baron he has no idea what he's talking about EVER. haha nah they ARE rare but not one in 30... i perosnally think that's a BIT unrealistic... sorry rich! there's a few locally for sale at the moment.. they're a bit old being 1992 twin turbos... personally if i were you i wouldn't be looking at anything older that a 1994 series 1.5 - and even at that point i wouldn't accept anything other than 202 black... and Lpackage if you can... however i also wouldn't rule out importing.. you can get lucky.. i spent AGES waiting for "the one" but when "my one" came up i ended up getting a very nice white one for my mum n dad.. right now there are a few good 'uns coming up.. 2000 FINAL BUILD manual vvti turbo - 86,000km but graded R - i would be careful buying an Rgrade but never know it may be a good repair and it may have been a light hit! - slammed and has weds sport rims or this 202 black 99 manual .. grade 4 with 80,000km - goes up for auction today but this car's been getting passed in for three weeks in a row so i doubt it will be selling today ...of this week's 10 soarers that i can see that are coming up for auction - 4 are manual... so they're not THAT rare... IF YOU ARE looking for a cheap one - and don't mind driving it home from perth... ...my mate josh is selling a vvti manual for a stupidly low price of 10grand... PM me for more info. EDIT: not that i think you're in the market for one - but IF YOU ARE in the market for one... why do you want a manual??? i don't think i would enjoy these in a manual :s it just seems weird.. all the luxury features and cushy comfort and electronics... to be paired up with a manual would just be weird.. the auto trans on these is sooooo smooth - personally i find it comparable to even modern euro auto transmissions..
  2. Eden hill man sorry
  3. yelling at it works a treat. or sand / soda blasting also works i hear.
  4. would be his exhaust... without an exhaust the 1Jz sounds like a jetsons car. i'll be getting a system installed. and of course im still going to go cruising with you guys. i hate soarer owners. uh oh - nic's lurking. i feel an opinion coming on
  5. i wasn't being arty i was trying to get the whole car in the pic from my mobile!!!!
  6. manuals were never made as Lpacks after 1995 dude i don't get why people always say "should've got a manual" ...the manual is slower. the auto box in soarers is incredible. and it's a leather seated, climate controled cruise controlled dual airbaged electric seat having luxury coupe.. why would you want to clutch and change gears??? edit: there is one guy that's got a soarer even more rare than mine.. he's from perth too and his name's josh.. it's a 1997 late model V8 Lpack with factory airbags and updated EMV... - there was only about 30 late models made before toyota scrapped the 1UZFE engines in the soarers.. and of that 30 - he's got one of the top of the range builds... and of THAT handful.. he's got a black one. soarers are fascinating cars (to me)
  7. it's rare because each of the following aspects are all rolled into the one car.. black (one of the rarer colours) late model series three with the same engine as jzx100 (only about 3/4 in WA) L package (top of the range with elec seats comprehensive dash screen sunroof and nicer seats) so "from the factory" to have that combo is fairly unheard of.. but aftermarket wise is when it gets interesting... T's project bodykit (the most uncommon and most expensive bodykit - ironic considering most people don't notice it has a kit at all) which the bodykit has been custom made to fit the bizzare foglights - which are actually OEM parts from a Jaguar XJR) and the exhausts are OEM from the lexus IS F obvioulsy it's got the work rims and the coilovers and all the other stuff that you can do too.. in that pic you can't see the leather interior job though - that's by Guten Bein - which is a popular retrim shop in japan - it was their demo car that they used to flex their muscle.. ..the leather is the same hue of red as the mercedes CLK... a lot of Yen was spent on my car it seems but yeah - it's rare to get "all those" factors rolled into the ONE car... realistically you have to be a soarer nerd to understand.. so it's about as rare as someone ordering that combination of car is - what i do know - is that there's no other car in australia that's LIKE it. it's not another dark green 92 V8 with a copy bodykit. while i'm ranting however - i just want to say... in the cefiro - the biggest "buzz" i'd get is when a dudes in S13/180/R32/other ceffies would drive past and wave n say they'd love my car - that was a great feeling... but in the soarer... the best feeling is waiting at a set of lights... and middle age guys will pull up next to me in NEW mercedes CLK / Audi TT / S class / Bmw's... ...and THEY stare at my car with green eyes... you know you've arrived when that happens...
  8. ^^^come to think of it maybe i should have focussed on driving my god damned car and not coming last. haha
  9. i'm pretty sure i came dead last haha.. the next day my neck was KILLING me!!!! the one tip i found was tense up your entire core, focus on your abs and obliques while driving - that stablises your head and helps to push through the jolts of the simulator! bernard - the espresso in my coffee was great.. nice and strong.. hence why i needed a bit more milk! constructive criticism though - milk doesn't need to be that hot obviously magazines say get it to about 63c but anything over about 57 and it becomes unstable and seperates... it was also a bit bubbly - early on in the steam, suck a bit of air into it and get bubbles happening but once you've got air in the milk (you did this) - bury the nozzle into it and tilt the jug to spin the milk and heat it... (you did this too) but once it starts to actually warm.. - slooowwwwwwllyyyy lift the nozzle to JUST under the surface, literally JUST beneath it.. the nozzle should make this VERY quiet hissing sound and those big frothy foamy bubbles will disappear and you'll start to get lots and lots of tiny tiny ones which will create one uniform consistency of thick creamy milk that will look like paint.. once it looks like paint you've done it right oh and if you've got it right then you should never need to "bang" the jug or anything.. and obviously keep rolling the jug so that the milk stays the one consistency.. you're a great coffee maker i'm not trying to step on your toes here i just like sharing ideas.. that system of milk steaming is what i find works best for me!
  10. ...is that a joke? i don't know if you're joking or not... but the camera was on a tilt... but yes there is a slight slope, and no i don't scrape beleive it or not my car is actually legit height!
  11. waddaya mean you logged in for me? that's sweet... i think.. wait is that sweet?

    it sounds sweet.. lol

  12. what are you talking about??? it's safely anchored on my driveway. the permits are all there. i'm legally moored. ...i should tow a sea biscuit along to the soarer cruise this saturday. for teh lulz
  13. well if YOU knew how to use a forum you would.. ...umm SHUT UP.
  14. so it's here. it's lowered. and has had the pustulent lights back to OEM. and has wheels. BIG THANKS to Aaron @ importmonster for all the help!

  19. kidding. i'm flexible.
  20. BAGS NOT IT.
  21. i AM still coming right ??? cool if i pay when i get there?? i haven't had a chance to transfer funds.. and being that you're with ANZ it is too late now - is cash okay?
  22. zey killed my family hahaha but yes - all your above points are correct. i can't think of any other car that can break down in an emergency lane, hae the owner pull the engine out with a spanner and replace the engine on the side of the road and drive off
  23. /thread. no seriously - with the release of the Z34 (370z) the value of these Z cars naturally heads somewhat south. that particular Z that i have shown you is a desperate sale (if it's still there) so who knows.. he may even have two rubber arms to get rid of it? but for 19 grand. a 6sp manual Z car would get my vote over some boyracer S15. boom. headshot.
