sooooooooooo with these steering wheels - do you guys use cockpits or what??? im not a fan of wheels personally - i got one for xmas once... me and brother kinda paid halvies and got it for each other... we were all excited about it etc - got it home and realised that it: A) has nowhere to be placed and isn't comfortable to use on one's lap and B) is quite a cumbersome device to store in one's junk cupboard.

personally i'd buy those schwert SC2's in 19in that aaron has... they're sexy offsets for toyota AND they're in a super low disk... i looked around for MONTHS for SC2 with low disk... found nothing, let alone SUPERLOW disk... but seems according to facebook... those SC2's are going onto a JZX100... schwert SC5 would be nice on it infact anything from the schwert series would be porn-o-sexual

question - does anybody else share the view that for a few years a few major components of the industry have just - sorta... gave up on itself? and are now paying the price for that? that sounds ridiculously vague.. what i mean is - think back to 2003. there were R34's back then. the R34 was the "buzz" import then - that was the car everyone DREAMT of.. nowadays the "buzz" (buzz meaning freshly added to SEVS) is the jzx110 markII and the toyota crown nothing wrong with these cars... i mean who doens't love a V8 luxury saloon or a 4 door sedan with 2.5lt turbo?? but as far asseeing these cars as marketable and desirable - in today's market the newest jzx110 you can get is already what, six years old? production ceased for these YEARS ago - 2010 shouldn't be seeing the approval of this car.. 2006 or 2007 should have.. because THEN they still would've been a fresh face.. hmm that sounds stupid - but i mean.. okay 2010 we're STARTING to get the ball rolling on the zx110... but.. since the 110 - toyota's had two generation changes since!! being - the mark X, the mark X series 2... and in 2009 there's a new model!!!! yet - late 2010 and we're JUST getting zx110? we shouldn't have even bothered, should've just start clean slate with the mark X the mark X is the nicest car i've EVER sat inside... they look amazing from the outside when on the road.. sure - no 1JZgte.. but The Mark X Supercharged version uses the 3GR-FSE engine with a supercharger added. 236 kW at 6200 rpm and 42.0kgm at 3200 rpm, paired to a 6 speed auto transmission. moral of my story - i think that the import industry needs to get back in front of the ball and get back to being dynamic and innovative instead of telling people that 30 grand for a ten year old campervan is a good idea.. dealers spent too many years riding the coat tails of the V35... the industry has grown stagnate and fallen behind the 8ball with products available! the VW scirocco is the only exciting car to be added to sevs this year IMO

^^^^horribly wrong. =) jzx100's are ridiculously cheap now - like - suprisingly cheap. like about 300K FOB which is 10-11K aud landed complied for a good one with mods.. why dealers are asking 16 / 17 for them still is beyond me. the jzx110 have actually depreciated accordingly too. - they're on YAJ you can get decent and then some for about 650K "buy it now" car cost - which is about 16-18K landed complied. as you could imagine - me paying 680K FOB for a soarer then finding out for about a grand more i could've gone jzx110 made me kinda kick myself haha even if my soarer is immaculate and modded to high heavens, i still would've loved a 4 door again! that said - i personally envisage my next car being the 120 series toyota mark X. just got back from singapore. those cars are freaking lovely - spoke to a guy that owns one waiting on the side of the road, he let me sit in it - nicest cabin i've ever sat in EVER. nicer than ANY mercedes / BMW.. just sayin. the import industry has kinda got a few things topsy turvy. the jzx110 were old news before they were even news in the first place they ceased production SIX YEARS ago - it's a shame that the next "buzz" car in the import scene is so old already.. we should have had sevs approval for these back in 2005 / 06. it's 2010 - we should have SEVS plates for the mark X by now, surely? the import industry is forever playing catchup with itself. it used to be so far ahead of the ball now it just seems to be lagging because it spent so many years with it's thumb up it's butt thinking that the V35 skyline will be the cash cow forever.

in that case - it's a connector that's dirty. to clean it - put the door switch into a snaplock gladbag, switch, the wires the loom and everything, then, put the bag in your bum. walk around for a day - don't tell anyone why you're walking funny - the switch will sense your fear. then take it out. easy!

so - any bets as to why i paid for my "weathershields" off that guy who stooged me on the price THREE WEEKS AGO now and still haven't received them?

tell him over the phone to check the VL's ECU for a user initiated ID - ten - T issue... from what you've told me it sounds like that's the problem if he's very clever - he'll work it out.. ...ID... 10... T user initiated ID10T. =)

front bar is def sold cupcake... but if you need one organised i may be able to hook you up Lum - if you want the side repeaters, i'm kinda giving them to dorigecko out of this front cut because one of them is cracked... but if you want some i can organise you a pair no worries just let me know via PM please =) EDIT - forgot to mention - you said you broke one trying to remove the side light, i don't know if you worked out how to do it safely or not but you remove it by lifting the bonnet - there's a single screw that it attached to the top of the headlight, undo that screw.. then use the palm of your hand to gently punch the back of the indicator from the back toward the front of the car - it simply pops out.

kris that looks freaking awesome?? I wouldn't camber the wheels in too much.. Werent you selling these tyres anyway? Stretch a skinnier tyre if there's on available for that size... A guard pump might sort it but i think that looks pretty damn sexy. Some tyre shine would finisn it off... It's a great car to advertise your bidness
