GTA Imports
Mr Eps replied to Restless 33's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Only feedback I could provide: Are you looking to buy a car dealership? Or a car. Are you looking to buy documentation and paperwork? Or a car. I'm hoping the answer to both is, you're looking to buy a car. So, go have a look at the car. Ignore the km on the dash. Ignore the claimed auction grade. Ignore the Australian service history that the dealer has apparently done... Look at the car. Look at how the seats are. Look at the wear on the gear stick. Steering wheel. Does The interior smell like cigarettes. Etc etc. Drive it. What's the engine, suspension and paint like? Decide from there No matter what dealer you buy from that is still the same car man. Make your own choice -
Hahaha f**k up Miguel! They are cool no doubt. My mate has one. Facts: 1ggte motor Weak gearbox Worn interior Rust No coilover off the shelf option Rear suspension is separate spring and shock so pain in ass Rust Obsolete parts catalogue I really don't get why these are cool. Hahaha I love my mates though. It's sick.

A nardi wheel I have and a bubble dildo shifter Piss yeah

Import Dealers ...............
Mr Eps replied to ripstah's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Kristian can probs do it Ps why are Edward lees allowed to have the living shit bagged out of them constantly on this forum (rightly so or not, fact is, they are allowed to be bagged out) meanwhile certain compliance workshops here out west get protected and receive warnings if we bring up their rip off dealings -
Not to go off topic however the 1g is a fine motor If you take it for what it is... Ie: accept the fact it's a 2.8 liter six that isn't intended for large power and has head gasket issues from it's old age. If you do that it's fine Same goes with the rb25... If you accept that it sucks then it's not that bad :-D (tricking)

^^^ exactly Importing is a purists game. Nothing more. Importing is not for the guy wanting to save a grand off buying local anymore... Importing is for the guy that wants "that one" My friend recently got his gx71 chaser imported done registered n dusted all done... He had the choice of building an mx73 Cressida with a 1jz conversion with r154 5mt by buying locally... However instead he spent 9-10 grand importing a gx71 chaser instead, 1gge motor, 5mt... 62,000km Grade 4.5 Grade a interior This thing is beautiful. Absolutely immaculate The other night we were driving on the freeway beneath the over passes in Perth.. And now Its lowered on cut springs Tsurikawa hanging off the tow hook Tsurikawa in the interior Ma61 supra rims polished And my god. Seeing that car... That 24 year old car looking brand new swimming up the freeway, followed by my soarer... Would be an amazing sight. I honestly don't care what anybody says. Nothing is as captivating on the road as an imported car. My advice is if you want the car, it's going to be worth it no matter what you come across... So do it

Alkatraz.. Why the mean post man?? Your post implies that west Australian workshops charge too much money to do the same thing someone else will do for half the cost. What gives??? That's slander man. I bet that the next thing you're gonna say is how they whinge n moan all day about how people that work over east aren't as good as the ground they walk on and that 6k is not a just cost!!! You're so mean. -

Mr Eps replied to mickey's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations

To old mate in the gunmetal R32 GTR who came up behind me exiting roe highway at 3am last night and decided to street race me as I was trying to casually change lanes to make a turn... and come very close to hitting my soarer in the process, please be more careful ey??? That was bloody stupid. I had my indicator on and was carrying two lots of very precious sleepy cargo. Don't do that shit please

^^^ in addition to the MONTHS wait you have to wait to get an inspection time because the government has flicked all these switches which causes the result we now deal with, which is: Massive demand and strain on the inspection centers + limited resources. Think about it. There's like. What. 6/8 centers in the metro area. Each centre has what. 2 lanes and sometimes1 lane?? Thats ~10/12 lanes functioning. On centers that are only open till 4pm mon-fri. Each inspection takes 1h+ That's about 70-80 odd cars that can be inspected daily. Not really relevant to the topic, but think about it. Our state car transport portfolio relies on this system Our police do their bit to fuel this issue by handing out a more than necessry amount of defect notices, as well as people trying to get all sorts of new, used, private and dealership cars to be registered Our entire city relies on this system which is only resourced to process 70-80 cars daily.. Think about that for a moment. it's crazy

It is easier to make your entire fist fit in your bottom. That is all I'll say. Not only do you need to remove all mods. You also need to re-engineer many things... plus the dickhead inspectors scrutinize everything import car coming from interstate. It sucks Buying interstate is about as brain taxing and stressful as importing. Except the end result isn't as exciting

Yeah man you're getting private insurance mixed up with compulsory third party insurance (registration) Two different things. If it was an accident like, an ACTUAL MISTAKE.... and he's not insured with a company... And ROB isn't insured. Then it's settled. Tell the guy to A) fk off B) suck a dick If he has a problem then just call up three of your black friends to go run a train on his ass and turn his body into a playground. Simple! -

Mr Eps replied to HR_31GT's topic in Western Australia
i hate you guys. haha unreg car - tough shit. if the car is unreg then it's uninsured. he can take you to court or whatever but if he has no rego to be on the road then tough shit for him. that said. if "rob" is at fault, then fkn pay it. it's 600$. not the end of the world really. it's easier to pay 600 bucks and send dipshit mcgee on his merry way than it is to: worry about it write forums posts about it get other people like your sisters boyfriend or whatever involved go to court involve police involve insurance etc etc etc all over $600. i've filled up tanks of fuel worth more than that! -
Importing From Canada
Mr Eps replied to riley's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
if you import 2 cars at the same time there is potential to save a couple hundred dollars here n there.. but ultimately no it isn't cheaper because most of it is government charges and labour... as for the wood thing - please get clued up on modified pre 89 imports. it basically is there to stop people like hot rodders from bringing in: Model T Ford w/ chopped roof and 15in wide rear wheels with a custom tub rear, with an LS7 engine conversion... that has been built onto the chassis of a chrysler PT cruiser in 2007. ^^^ it was to close the loophole that gave potential importers the ability to import "pre 89" cars with them being pre 89 purely on face value. however in the wake... it's affected an entire market of people unable to import their cars. I should also note that import approval is still given the "yes" or "no" approval by the same people and REALISTICALLY not much has changed. however you mentioned something something something built the car out of wood because you thought it was cool to be Armish in 1994 - in that example its best to speak to australias dept of transport about it.. just in case. would hate to see youre claptraption be declined import approval due to no homework being done.. ..that's all i was saying -
