  1. erm, okay im confused, this = second hand kit??? from what i can see... you have a wonder type 1 front bar - not type 2 as shown in haruyama's old project car... and URAS sideskit.. i can not quite see the rear bar so unsure of what that is but the orange cefiro has wonder Type 2... you have something else...
  2. haha im proudly wearing my patience hat but it also helps that i chose to wear my cefiro pants as well.. It's pays when importing a car to coordinate your wardrobe accordingly Yong... Don't stress... Stressing is the second worst thing you can do in these situations, the worst is setting yourself on fire. Yes it's a pain in the butt... However it's the gubbermint, nothing you can do??
  3. hahahaha - basho you're REALLY making me want to drive an MR2!!!! i was tinkering with the notion of getting one many moons ago but just thought they would be too impractical for me... being a 2 seater and no storage space.. i have three things to tell you: thing 1) you're using this car as a daily driver, chances of you experiencing oversteer in the wet and the car exploding into a fireball and ninjas coming out and kidnapping your family because you don't take the SW20 to motorkhana are PRETTY SLIM providing you're obeying the law thing 2) the MR2 is midship rear platform (you already know that) but what you MIGHT not know - is that the fuel tank etc adds about 70kg over the rear wheels... in japan, a lot of MR2 owners reposition their fuel tank to the front "bonnet" of the car... creating perfect weight distribution over all four wheels.. so if you're into tracking the car and motorkhanas and stuff you should TOTALLY do this... but just don't crash your car, k? thing 3) im gonna come out n say it - SW20 > 180sx... they're an unsung hero... they're much like the soarer... forgotten because the dipshit things people do to them. ie people get an MR2 and put cheap nasty bodykits or ferarri lights. you car looks wicked - but if there's ONE thing i'd change on it aesthetics wise... it'd be the sleepy eyes for the pop up headlights... i'll see if there's a pic on the internet... how's this look??? it's ricey i know... but it's the best pic i can find! edit try again linkfail edit again im gna kill my phone. click link??? i533.photobucket.com/albums/ee332/BjornSmith/toyotamr2.jpg
  4. no, no yong - don't stress... it is not more serious happen =) if you really have something to worry about - your workshop should contact you =)
  5. BASHO - no pressure, again.. no pressure, i'm totally unsure of the widths and offsets but from what i've seen of others' MR2s online, these SHOULD fit quite neatly and have a good stance.. basically - from what i can see, the wheels LOOK like work VSxx... they're definitely work, they're definitely VS... and i can only assume they're VSXX... 17inch... the offset looks more appropriate for a honda / mazda... but - MR2 seems to take similar offsets? the reason i'm so unsure is cos they're on the car i imported.. the seller put these wheels on it to sell the car, and kept his proper wheels.. which i don't want (i love the VSXX but these sizes and offsets are no good for my massive guards) so i'm selling them.. but if you DO want them.... best to let me know sooner rather than later, because the car's about to be shipped from VIC to WA, so if you want them... i'll freight them to you from vic.. it's easier to freight the wheels to you from VIC than it is to ship from WA.. make sense? sorry i've been prattling on, i've been trying to locate a pic of the wheels haha.. my laptop sh@t itself so i lost everything =( but here's a pic i found =) EDIT: i'll know in about a day or two the exact specs of the wheels.. just have to get my guy to have a look at the sticker on the inside =P oh and they include tyres of course..
  6. if you're loking for new wheels (no pressure) but i have some work VSxx (or possibly discontinued rezaxII?) in gold face finish for sale shortly... i'm unsure of the EXACT width and offset but yeah, they're good for toyota, they're on my car in vic so let me know if you're interested..
  7. got my rear visor today from thailand - which is ironic considering i paid for my side visors like 2 weeks ago and i only bought the rear one like last friday anyway fitment is great on the rear visor - as for whether or not i like it.. jury is out for me - so put it this way.. i paid about 85 for mine delivered.. if anybody here wants it - it's yours for $75 delivered .. condition is as new, you'll get brand new 3M tape with it too (better tan what comes with it.. finish is a nice piano black.. very shiny.. but yeah it's not for sale per say but if anyody wnats it then it's yours for $75 delivered?
  8. why do the ''first posters'' always whore up the importing vehicles section first? Like i dont mind if they're genuinely looking for info but 9 times out of 10... They'll come in, ask a really open ended and inflammatory question that will get like 20 long written educational responses... But not come back n read it? Haha, Btw kris, excellent work on both your articles in august's PI mag, interesting read!
  9. hahaha kris thats not due to upgrades of systems ...that's just cos they see the name ''kristian appelt'' and place it neatly at the bottom of the pile
  10. mods. sticky this thread. hmm... best music to listen to in R33.. i would personally favour anything from RUNDMC's tougher than leather, or king of rock albums... ...failing that... Beastie Boys' licensed to Ill? seriously though, this thread is terrible. haha
  11. also to clarify on topic... the department of industry (formerly DOTARS) i have heard are experiencing system upgrades - which are now complete but they're now playing catchup on the backlog of applications / plate approvals, this is just WHAT I'VE HEARD so take it as gospel, but it could explain why your cars are taking "so long" (it's really not that bad btw) mine have been on waiting list for 2.5 weeks and counting and i'm not fussed at all about it - when it happens it happens!
  12. jason. Trouble sleeping? Look into delta frequency, or theta frequency.. Works great. Nic keep drinking water it will help your knuckles Neil, bhp are over rated. Bunch of showponies
  13. oh good that yours isn't standard cos neither's my ''ugly'' soarer..
  14. i think that both R33 and Zz30 are nice... But they are old hat... To make them nice they must do something different away from the norm to keep the ''OG jdm'' flag flying.. They have to be unique to mix it with the new wave of V35 and other new ''buzz'' imports.. Same goes for s13... If you're driving og jdm in 2010 make sure you step your game up so that you can stand out from the other poorasses that get them
  15. yeah you can tell a lot about a forsale ad like tenfour said... Without getting too offtopic check my forsale ad out and tell me what you think? carsales.mobi/cars/details/?R=8908813 Whats my carsales ad say bout me??? Edit. Nvm. I hate my phone seriously. If you really wanna see it... Search carsales. It's the only cefiro in wa for sale. Ha.
  16. WA has wicked tuners but there's a few other things i would need to sort before tuning my car... comes with the territory of owning two "modded" cars that are both road registered
  17. ...the ones in japan aren't much nicer, my friend
  18. thats not a v8 you peanut!! Its a 2.5lt single turbo vvti... Same motor as the jzx100 chaser, and it's manual... Features of that soarer: Manual Leather Digital climate control Cruise control Trd parts all over Trip computer Short shifter Dual airbags Work rims All for far cheaper than a silvia. Plus it's breakneck fast. Not pressuring you into a soarer but it's a very good package
  19. yes BASHO they're silvias.. japan they're called "silvia" and in Aust they're called the 200sx.. same as how japan called their Z's "fairladys" and in aust we call then 300zx / 350Z / 370Z etc etc it's GREAT to hear that you're looking into S14... and even nicer to hear you're looking into S15... put it this way - a few grand spent on getting a newer car - is money saved replacing parts in a few months time, BASHO - tell me, did you even look at that soarer i posted you?? =)
  20. you can get a lowjack from any auto store.. But if strapped for cash just drive car onto bricks first then jack from there.. Ps did you say it's your birthday today??? It's jason's birthday too TWINNNN NSSSSSSSSS
