okay so another update - so far it looks like i'm getting the glass supplied by obreins for $220 and getting it fitted else where. obrien quote 590 for supplied fitted callout. not negotiable not haggle. but they'll supply the glass for $220. soooooooooo that means $370 for an hours labour fuuuuuckkkk that??? so looks like i'll be trying wayne's windscreens. the weird thing is - as much as this sounds like heaps of fun this is ACTUALLY a massive pain in the ass

prepare to love mr eps. they're OEM cefiro wheels. they were also used on a few R31's.. i used to have a set of 4 haha here - excuse the centrecaps

update instant windscreens have got back to me, there is 0 stock in WA. however there are 3 stock items over east which can be delivered to WA and fit to my car ...for $690 instant windscreens. $690. windscreens obrien. $590. wayne's windscreens better pull through or i'm gonna be a very sad panda.

Okay so i dug up a three year old thread about glass for the A31 cefiro here in perth, and everyone hailed instant windscreens as the champion in this area instant windscreens gave me a quote for $320 supply + fit, of $340 supply + fit + call out. YOU LITTLE RIPPER (i thought) that was discussed and planned a week ago - to be installed tomorrow - as they had 5 in stock just then i get a ph call saying they have ZERO in stock, and can possibly organise more to be made but it'll take a while. i'm a bit pissed - naturally. so i called windscreens o'brien. windscreens o brien are set up ready to go with glass in stock. supply. fit. free call out. lifetime warranty on workmanship. for the low low price of $590. (naturally even THIS is too rich for my blood - as benevolent as i am with my car - i just cant justify a nearly $300 jump for the same product) i have called wayne's windscreen's in welshpool (try saying that four timeS) and the lovely girl there is in the process of getting back to me about this - as they MAY have some in stock. can anybody else suggest something??? keep in mind tried: instant windscreens windscreens obrien wayne's windscreens. whichever business gives best service and least stuffing around - wins my business. PS: i had a chat to the guy in instant windscreens warehouse and told him there's a few of us around and it'd be in his interest to press some up (think of it as a group buy) so any numbers?

eps was not put in his place. eps is right. an R33 skyline IS jdm. chinese wheels do NOT make a car look japanese styled. and there's no point doing performance mods on a non turbo skyline because it won't RESPOND to the mods in the same way a turbo would. eps is also right in the exclusivitey arguement - the less there is of a product - the easier we sleep at night knowing that our work / ssr / volk wheels are better quality than what Muzza put on his calais that he got from supercheap auto - the scary thing is now these chinese scumbags are making counterfeit products that LOOK like our genuine 3 piece hand built japanese wheels - and these chinese wheels come in low offsets too - thus cheapening the japanese product. eps is also right in saying that chinese scumbag copy ripoff companies like (you know who i'm talking about) who counterfeit exhausts, bodykits, wheels, manifolds, etc using cheap labour and using genuine parts as moulds thus less expenditure to recouperate costs are detrimental to the industry. ask Ueno how he feels about "vortex" or carmate.com ripping off literally every design which he - as a middle wage income earner young guy who dreamed and then drew the bodykit, designed, fabricated, built and sold to a few freinds, then marketed, produced, stamped and created his own product. which propelled him to worldwide notoriety as being a body shop master... now ask him how his "high horse" is when some rat charges $800AUD for a complete bodykit retail which was HIS product. granted i was on a high horse because i beleive in stopping the copy. people spend a long time creating these products and it's not fair that someone can plaguerise their design and sell it cheap with as little to no cost involved.. QUESTION how would you guys feel if you found out that someone started doing the job you're doing - without even asking if that's OKAY with you if they do that - only to find out that the other guy that's started doing YOUR job is happy to do a similar job to you (not quite as good but SIMILAR) - for about HALF the salary that you're on... except the difference is - they've never gone to UNI / Tafe / spent years networking within the company or paid any dues that you have. he's just doing it for self gains as a quick cash fix. now imagine that same bloke being the core reason that you were "let go of" only to find out that this bloke has done it to three of your friends also. because i can BET YOU that's EXACTLY how companies like Apexi, Trust and Greddy feel. but no no - i really SHOULD get off my high horse (basti just so you know there's no hard feelings here man, and i hope that your comment was not in any harsh feelings toward me!) and sorry to go off topic but that was a contributive post nonetheless *snub* was i REALLY put in my place? yeah the only crucial difference is the non turbo is missing one stud per wheel to make it a neat modification platform go drifteks i don't care - but it's won't be JDM it'll be CDM =)

hmmm from my diagnosis from the internet judging on what i've read - it definately seems like AFTER he hit the gutter... the gutter SEEMS to have made something go wrong with the car - noteably the front end this is evident if the car wasn't making squealing noises before it hit the gutter - but then HIT the gutter... but then AFTER hitting the gutter started squealing and pulling to the left... if something is wrong.. i suggest you make a thread about that silvia on a skylines forum or you could fix it i dunno im not an expert. (take it to a mechanic or suspension centre)
