Thing I wanna know is why the fk did you get rid of the soarer? However it sounds like you had a v8. In that case I don't blame you. Haha
-
Furthermore, Martin you said "it depends who you get on the day" ^^ this is the biggest load of shit ever, like yes you're right. But it just further cements that no dealing with this system are consistent at all, I mean what. Depends on who you get on the day that decides what is and isn't legal? I thought the law was a book that clearly dictates laws and cannot be f**ked with. Huh. I mean Joe at the pits can pass your car HE says as legal then officer harvey can pull you over around the corner for having what HE says is unsafe distance between tyre and guards??? It's bullshit. He said this he said that bullshit. "legal" has nothing to do with it
-
Martin stfu you're being inflammatory. Stop it. The police are not ignorant, they know what the laws are, they're simply doing whatever it takes to see how far and who they can push, they're getting runs on te board for the extra biscuit at the end of the month... As for recording - it is completely LEGAL providing that You tell them straight up that you're recording everything. The police are allowed to say no IF they wish to leave you alone, Basically if they refuse to be recorded, they're not legally allowed to have any further discussion with you. Police are allowed to be recorded in this state and personally I recommend you all to do it. they make our lives difficult and belittle us. Why not do it back to them? Anyway, this particular subject has been done to death. Greg I'm sorry to hear man, I would probably be taking the issue up with the officers station to make a complaint. But yeah, you now need to take time off your day / off work and pay some shmuck organization to pay for a service you never requested.

This is why you guys need to educate yourselves and exercise your rights. Gap too small between tyre and guard? I'd ask to be shown that law on the spot. I'd make the police officer get whatever book he can pull out to show me the law that I'd be breaking. Stand up for yourselves out there guys! Don't just "turn the cheek" because you turn too many cheeks and you'll have no face left.

Lachy - will this be ready in time for the next rising Sunday cruise man?

That price would be "average" condition I would assume.... As in, not necessarilly good condition but just "what you'd expect" with such an old car... Mind you... There are other factors to consider... Are these r32 going for 700K at a USS auction house? If so... WHICH auction house is it??? Is it 700K on yahoo Japan??? ... Is this 700k at a used car dealer? Factors like these play a huge difference in the price.... Understand much of the market in Japan is bid based. Unlike here where someone will ask 13k aud for an NA auto r33 gts... And have people call and offer them their weekly nghtfill check... Japan is mostly bids. So the location, demand, exposure, and popularity. With something like R32 gtr however, if you're chasing a good one, Its best to contact one of the brokers who use these forums, as they can gain access to special boutique gtr dealers and buying agents, As well as scour the yahoo Japan auctions, which is mostly where enthusiasts like to market their cars to draw a slower more broad market and avoid the auction house fees. To them, a car will fetch more worth on yahoo with some nice pics to go with it than it would with 20 seconds of fate in a dingy dank auction bidding room :-p

^^^ previously i would have taken a more diplomatic approach and said something like "but you have to understand that bla bla bla" but seriously. fuck em. if they don't want enemies. don't create them, simple.

Hey guys. just an FYI. Police have no right to photograph you unless you refuse. this practise is unjust and a violation of your rights in this state. do not give all the power to police. this is pathetic.

^^^ in addition to the above post, this is a calculation for 150,000Y FOB... but I somehow think you were asking about 150K car cost, 150K car +95K fob costs... plus brokerage if applicable and import fees etc all up yields about 7 grand in my calculations.. this is also with the calculations NOT including much compliance work.. it only includes an engineers signature.. because i dont know if these cars have door bars etc, which may be an additional cost. -
I have never heard of feast auto group personally but I feel like I SHOULD have because they seem to be in line with my interests. Id be keen to know who the guys are because sometimes foreigners living in Japan people with bad reps simply change jobs or change company names to build a new client base, not saying this is the case here but one such example comes to mind of a guy that ripped a whole lot of people off and swindled money from them who now works for a reputable hobby store in Japan... The company feast auto seems more aimed at the UK market.. Than the Aussie market... Most of the cars they've listed would simply have no hope of being eligible for import into Australia :-) But yes, back on topique. I think it's fair to say everything has been covered in this thread and until OP comes back with more questions then we can put it to rest :-)
