i'm not really in hunting mode, like... i don't have my spear out and roam the plains looking for tyre tracks to see if i can follow the scent and kill the tyre to eat it man... ell oh ell. no but seriously i'm in no hurry i just had to do an epic skid to avoid getting hit the other day and the tyre's worn thru to the belt. which saddens me greatly.

....personally i'd be crying if my head tube blew out and my face ate the dirt as a direct result of my carbon frame breaking... i would especially be crying if a tube went... into my body. like the whole thing LOL. there was this one time. not at bandcamp. i was chilling on my giant rincon and went down a curb, and the shock absorber popped open and shot the insides into my face, and the inner gas cylinder went into my eye brow. shit was SO pain. i was also upset. but then TBE helped me out by getting me a nice priced giant alias and gave me my money back for my rincon, because giant couldn't source the same part... or a part that fit even into my hulky frame... months later i found out giant had been taken to court for said dodgy shock absorber. which was why they couldn't "source" the part shit was SO sneaky. marc. will a vittoria rubino be much different to zaffiro? the TPI rating on zaffiro is lower but are cheap as chups. rubino = reliable and hell. (7 months riding and still unscathed except the other day i had to skid for like a whole year to avoid a mazda 3 pulling out of a dominoes)

haha... peter the age old arguement to that is - it shouldn't matter if they're black green pink or metallic... if you don't speed. you won't get flashed... you don't get fined... i guess also it created paranoia so people think "i know not to speed here cos there's often speed cameras placed here" if people slow down from fear in that "one stretch of road" then the cameras have done their job!

TRUST me on that one, speed cameras are here to stay... whether they save lives or revenue raise is not up to us to make that call - one thing we can all agree on.. is STOP SPEEDING. and they've done their job. if we slow down and they're there to save lives - good on them if we slow down and they're just revenue raisers - good on us. one thing that remains a common factor is - don't speed... and you won't get flashed. as for what GTRpowa said, i've never heard of stock BOV's getting pinged for defects, maybe years ago when the "modification" scene went out of hand, and it advanced to the point where police were unsure as to what's legal and illegal (really can you blame theM? they don't spend their days on car forums! to the police's's's respect, they've actually cracked down on old bombs - a lot. at least they have here in WA and i think they're doing a good job.. HONESTLY i do. as for us as "car enthusiasts" we all should now know that if police are cracking down on us, take the precautions to help their decision of whether or not to give you a defect ... that is... if your pod filter isn't braced. brace it. if your tyres have camber wear,. fix your camber, if your HIDs blind on coming drivers, maybe they weren't meant to be... if your suspension is too low to get over speed bumps... it can't be fun to drive... and is asking for trouble. get your creative juices flowing you guys!!!! i want some help... for some years - i've always admired the K12 March, (aka micra) often people who "modify" them tend to go the tuner look... big wheels, bodykit, coilovers etc... last night i was thinking what if someone took the Micra... and ... just on the cheap... made it a rockabilly themed rat rot with THIS theme shouldn't be too hard... just - satin black paint. moondisc hubcaps, red rim, white wall tyres.. reason i was thinking of this was because - the VW beetle often lends it's styling to this modification platform but the beetle is: old dangerous unsafe dodgy no electronic features not fun to own micra has "bubbly" styling to it's appeal much like a beetle... only difference is... micra has airbags and seatbelts that work and brakes that work etc... micra would look great as a rat rod... so can you guys get creative? help me out? i'm trying to convince a friend to do this

you can go with them, they're just doing their job... inspection DOES involve taking your car for a drive and making sure it doesn't carreen to the left or have wobbly steering... and yeah - get the bracket from bunnings... as for the "car having to be towed to the pits" that's a load of bull. cops clearly trying to scare you. a yellow sticker is a two week or however long time frame to get the car roadworthy and legal and inspected, if the dept of transport deem more owrk order, they give you a month. your car can be driven ANYWHERE ANYTIME HOW YOU SEE FIT during that two week "yellow sticker period" anytime OUTSIDE the date of the yellow sticker, the car may ONLY be driven to licensing centres, or to have work carried out by a mechanic etc... for the police officer in question to tell you otherwise must either not be up to date with legalities, or just having a laugh. sounds like you have some work to do - my advice... do as much work as you can - don't hide ANYTHING. spray the underside and engine bay with degreaser to get it looking nice n clean, take it to the inspection centre and treat the staff with respect... chances are - they'll find something wrong on your car and you might have more work to carry out... so don't talk yourself into beleiving your car will pass inspection in case it breaks your heart, all the best!!!

is it "exhaust" fume smell??? or PETROL if it's PETROL. as in unburned fuel... check your injector o rings. i have this problem. it is not cool.
