yes but i'd also like to add that birds can die in a fire and then i'd further like to add that peak power output or not regardless - the VVTI in the single creates twice the amount of torque than the twin, that's a common known fact - the driving style of the engine is completely different - power peak HP or not - the VVTI is a faster engine... regardless of numbers on paper - pound for pound vvti 1J is king by saying vvti 1J i REALLY mean birds and by saying king i mean gay.
-
i don't get the haricut reference and as for the gay thing you guys need moar jokes and - you're buying it for track purposes yes? S2K is costlier than $7500 granted but thats $7500 for ENGINE CONVERSION, not "the car" as a whole being a track only car - you can import a De-Reg japanese one - no compliance - no rego. so in reality an S2k really isn't "that" unattainable at all...

How Do You Tell If The Car Has Done Big Kms?
Mr Eps replied to GTR-N1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
i can tell when my knee puffs up and i get butterflies in my stomach. no really. im only joking. you CAN'T TELL when it's been done. numbers matching up?? that's crazy, there's no way that every single number can match up to the exact millimetre after spinning around so many times only way *we* can find out, is trace the VIN number in japan and see with their governed kilometre updates there's advice on this entire simple process in the imports section... but realistically - the odometer reading is a number - would it really make you love you car any less??? it's STILL the same car it was yesterday... -
no no don't do what he says do what i say no seeriously good choice on the 1J. IMO this is literally a pissing contest however - guys are like that. their opinion is the better option what i WILL say however - if going the 1J - which i see you are - get a VVTI and single much torquey-er motor. better balanced, more refined. better on fuel (i know it's a race car shut your face) it's just a better engine - YEAH it costs mroe but not MUCH more in the big scheme of things. EDIT - another thing - 1J twin turbo is at LEAST now 14-15 years old... if you're transplanting an engine do you really want to invest money in something THAT OLD??? personally i'd have just bought an S2000 but that's just me. and i'm better than any of you.

Rb30 Exporting
Mr Eps replied to opticnerv's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
hmm - you know what i forgot to mention earlier? you COULD get an RB30 bottom end and custom fabricate the mounts and shoehorn the 25 head onto it and all that or you could leave it how it is. and keep your money... and play video games instead. i'd go option 2 -
and that's why i like you, Tony!

guys shut the shit up i just spent four minutes of my life reading verbal daihorrea!!!! Sarumatix - over east 7grand is an acceptable starting price, however in Wa prices for cars come at a premium because - frankly we're a bit higher paid over here... also we know that while cars are cheaper over east it has to be freighted, so naturally, cars fetch a higher price... tony the rarity of the cefiro coupled with its ineligibility to be imported (to my knowledge) keeps the price high, to a cefiro owner, or potential buyer, it's not what the car's worth in money... it's what the car is worth to the driver, i'm not kidding, once i parked my car at my work, and as i was getting out another ceifro driver parked in the only vacant spot next to me, i'd never met this bloke before, he was young, and said he had a cefiro as his first car, wanted it as a project car, sold it for 9K then bought a skyline, had the line for three months n realised the drive wasn't the same as the cefiro, then tracked down the owner and offered him 11 grand to buy it back off him.. cefiro owners are a different bunch of people... as for the "auto that's been f**ked with" comment, that's an opinion formed by you which formed after you've never seen the car - this is hands down one of the best operating cefiros in the country, with low genuine klms and a well maintained engine... pretty rude comment really - remind me when it comes time to sell your car so i can jump into your thread without reason or constrcutive comment and attempt to destroy your credibility. =|

r u serious.

i'm sure it would if the car was actually up for sale at the moment man i've been busy getting a job - cos that's like three times as important as selling my car is!!! but now i has job - and car can be put up for sale - turns out job pays more than i thought it would - so price will now be pretty darn negotiable
-
meh - if someone wants to pay that they can - they do whatever they want with it in their own time - like yeah i'd love to find a buyer like yoruselves who understand "what this cefiro is" but it's not always the case...
-
Guys I know there's a lot of dudes putting their car up for sale but i'm not putting mine for sale. It's GETTING sold. As I said . . Price nego.., I just want the car to go to an owner that actually WANTS the car.. Cos I simply don't.. I've had it since I was 19 now i'm 24 I want another car you guys can understand that:) it's not that i'm done with repairs or want to hav a baby or anything.. I'm just simply done with it and want to drive something else:)but yea would love it if you guys put me onto a buyer:)
-
my mate sold his for like 17k in wa to an over east buyer so ++ for transport and transfer fees no worries i'll put it up for say 9K ono all fixed up but will emphasise offers accepted while i have the attn of my 2 favourite sauwa guys ..... if u can hook me up with a sale via ur mates etc theres a spotter prize in it but understand im broke atm n pretty hard up on luck so it may be a gift... ur pick ... i know ppl who know ppl so get asking!!!!
-
yo guys take some consideration and tell me what you would ask for my cefiro - remember, i want to SELL the car - not put it up for sale for like 6 months or something 1989 cefiro automatic 4spd 118xxxkms rb20de+T motor, orig motor from build no swaps and conversion done properly - in short, motor works fine r34 smic 3" turboback exhaust system RG jtcN'1 coilovers white orig paint in good condition Wonder haruyama bodykit - copy - made by originLab as a model when they were designing their cefiro kit stich evolution 18 * 8/9 wheels good cond tyres alpine stereo and type*R splits black interior in good condition for it's age velour seats - not scratchie cloth series 2 tail lights HID lights umm oh yeah maintenence parts - new alternater new battery 6 months rego etc etc cleaner and better kept than most cefiros, was one of the first cefiros in aust - first aust owner what would you guys value it at??? kinda jsut want to sell it really... i'm baffled by the amount of guys selling their cefiros on car sales for like 10grand or eleven grand still - are they REALLY worth that much??? do they ACTUALLY sell at that price???

okay. seriously you guys easy question here.. 1997 - 1999 soarer Gt-T model.white in good condition.. this is all i want to know. will it cost more or less - than $13,500. i've been asking how much money i should budget for a while now and nobody's given me anything so there it is - an actual monetary figure.. so now it's a yes or no answer please somebody please answer my question like i'm serious have i don'e something wrong? if so i'm sorry!! this is so i know whether or not to buy in aus or import from japan.. basically guy in NSW is selling a car i want and i reckon he'll come into my budget of $13500, but then i have traport costs on top, SO if importing can beat or match this figure landed n complied then i'll be happy to go with that -
allow me to kick some nasty thoughts when i was like - 20. i bought wheels from indonesia. 4 wheels. bought the wheels - 18" diameter $750 worth took them to shipping company, shipping comany built a crate, put them on a boat and sent them over. $500 odd shipping. 6 week wait. crate was delivered to fremantle port. so 40 minute drive and a day off work to pick them up $150 shifting fee, $100 handover fee. and 2 x $25 holding fee daily cost heaps plus taxes plus gst the next time i did this bought the wheels. kept them in boxes. bought wheels. took wheels up street to UPS agent. posted them to my door for $80 a wheel posted to my door in five days. no duty. no mess. no anything moral of the story is. post thru EMS or UPS or whatever chances are you won't have to pay duty or customs. seeing as it's a one-off occasion in their eyes. but... even if you have to pay duty. it's not that much and... to put it bluntly... buy the diff. cross the other bridges when you come to it.
