it's more to do with the length of your arms - have you got flat or drop bars?? it should be about the right size - i'm probably and inch or so shorter than you and i ride a 58cm either way - you've BOUGHT the bike now so too bad so sad if it's not the right fit =P i can't fathom why you'd want to make it harder to pedal though - i've often toyed with the notion myself but my bike goes plenty fast without it get fatter tyres if you want harder to pedal - it'll slow you down and piss you right off - seems like that's what you want haha but yes - masi's are a good bike with good frames, nice n tough! enjoyyyyyy

umm don't they run a 48T / 16T???? and you want HIGHER?! if you want mroe speed i suggest you upgrade your tyres to vittoria rubino, or if you can afford it - open corsa...the zaffiro tyres run a bit soft and don't have that much puncture protection. rubino and open corsa's have nice TPI casing and kevlar strip. plus they look cool as shit. as much as i wanna say "support your local retailer" - retail charge between 90 - 110 for these tyres, i pick up a PAIR from ebay for under 70AUD shipped. while it does hurt local industry, i am a consumer and will occasionally favour a "good deal" and theyr'e in the new colourway too. macdog for your bike... if you can still find them - ( would take a while) but get the vittoria rubino "celeste" colour. would go nicely with your frame anyway - congratulations on your purchase you must be very happy with it!!!

this thread sums it up perfectly - jdm applies to cars such as R32gtr, R35gtr, S15 silvia, 300zx... you have ADM and JDM examples, which denotes their worth.. i get annoyed when looking at R33 sales and the seller will say it's a JDM R33 - as opposed to WHAT!?! or when a soarer seller will say it's a JDM original toyota soarer, not a lexus... ...there are no such thing as lexus SC in australia - unless it's a personal import from the states...

Kristian - hi Me still want Soarer. i have decided not to get a jzx110 cos they're just too dicey with electric repairs and - flatly ... they're out of my budget... i took everyone's advice and shopped around locally, and have been stuffed around a bit too much.. i forgot how annoying it is shopping locally - "rare 1991 soarer twin turbo" =| and have come to the conclusion.. that there are no good soarers in australia. well maybe two - but i missed out on them cos they sold the day they were posted... don't get me wrong - you guys are right ..soarers are in abundance here. but i don't want some glitter house ov kandy flip pearl baby blue with green kustom leather interior and altezza headlights with tv screens in the mag wheels. "what i want"... is - late model, 1998 - 2000 build 1J vvti. auto or manual doesn't matter - i reiterate - i do not care if it's auto or manual. i want kilometres below 100k. what that denotes i don't care and even the 100K km limit is lenient. i want black or white. no crazy colours! and a nice interior.. that's all Just a nice late model soarer black or white under 100km. transmission is not an issue i go to bali on the 22nd until the 9th jan so it's upto you if you think it's a good idea to search around during this time, but im going to get a soarer and i'm seriously considering importing because i'm simply tired of pulling teeth and chasing up sellers who are not really wanting to sell their cars... i DO have one lead but he's proving to be more of a headache than it's worth - good bloke just stuffing me around so ballpark figure landed n complied - how much am i looking at - let me know and we'll take it from there

rowan's tip. take a 1J soarer for a drive and see how you feel - then take a 97++ VVTI single turbo 1J for a drive - THEN see if you still want the 2J
