LOL yeah i think my dad has something like this setup with his equity account
-
i think go for it - owning a soarer is a very rewarding car to have - they weigh HEAPS but don't let that hold you back i say go for it that also said - i dont see why the manuals are so sought after - the auto's drive FINE!!!
-
bear in mind the soarer was designed by toyota's california deisgin team in the late 80's early 90's this explains it's size, amount of doors and inspiration. it's not a race car - it's a 2 door saloon aimed at the lexus market so of course it won't handle like silvia or a GTR - it was never intended to be driven like one!
-
i hear the suburb of afganistan is a hot part of perth.. haha well yeah sure why not
-
rahahaha yeah sure why not, you work in city? we can do bridges on a lunch break if you're keen i work east end of hay street at the moment
-
yeah - realistically if you have a 1Jz with breathing mods ie filter / intercooler / exhaust... if you still want to convert to larger engine it really just depends on how fast you want to wrap your torso around a tree really... i mean a 1JZ with basic power mods will have you seeing a swirling time vortex in front of your eyes as you hurl down the quarter mile which is real handy when you're late for work and you expect time to rewind and you get there on time i mean if that's not fast enought hen yeah why not get a 2jz - it's like SO necessary right now
-
have never heard of such an event - and what on earth is a jarradale??? im from perth and i've never heard of one of those..
-
i think that for easiness and what have you - get a manual soarer - there's a guy in NSW selling an affordable manual black on black, looks immacualte he's on here - get in touch! google "skylinesaustralia black soarer" as for engine conversions - why the frikk?? 1J is a very fast and very good motor to have... BUT the only complaint about them is the parallel twinturbo setup, so - if you want to convert, just source a VVTI single turbo?? and build up from there?

mate - before i started riding i tipped the scales at 130 kg - granted i didn't smoke but also take note of this before i started riding, i did a "bit" of exercise, ate healthilly the entire time but couldn't shift the weight i started riding on a cheap entry level mountain bike n got bit by the bug... everything about it - the speeds you travel, the fact it's YOU doing the effort. everything if that *thing* about riding "bites" you.. then you'll start looking for any excuse to ride... going out on your lunchbreak, going out after work, using the bike to ride to the shop, the gym, to the video shop, whatever... before you know it - your breathing will increase - smoking or not, who knows? perhaps you might wanna smoke a bit less - if you don't... no biggie, and you'll also notice the kilo's falling off too =) FYI - i've now been riding "more than casually" for about 14 months. and i've lost 30 kilos.

Illegal Import Help!
Mr Eps replied to vice5500's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
haha well seeing as i'm no longer allowed to start new threads - my brother's looking to come home from UK in about a year - plans to purcahse a BMW 7 or 5 (2007 model) and sell it when he comes back to aus to live he's aborted the idea on account of someone said he has to pay import duty of the total cars worth in australia, i said that the only import duty that will be charged will be 5% of the car's worth at purcahse, plus GST can you please clarify how hard his hair brained getrichquick scheme actually is?? he sees the problem being personal importing is a difficult means of importing the problem that i see - is most BMW customers won't want to buy a second hand 7 series, they'll want that "new car smell" and won't want to buy off a private dealer - any thoguhts? EDIT: i only STARTED that thread because.. Dear Kris, I wrote you PM but you still ain't callin I left my cell, my pager, and my home phone at the bottom I i posted up a thread in autumn you must not-a got em There probably was a problem at the SAU server capacity or something Sometimes I scribble addresses too sloppy when I jot em but anyways; f**k it, what's been up? Man how's your daughter? My girlfriend's pregnant too, I'm bout to be a father If I have a daughter, guess what I'ma call her? I'ma name her MARK2 I read about your Uncle Ronnie too I'm sorry I had a friend kill himself over some bitch who didn't want him I know you probably hear this everyday, but I'm your biggest fan I even got the underground shit that you did with Skam I got a room full of your posters and your pictures man I like the shit you did with Ruckus too, that shit was phat Anyways, I hope you get this man, hit me back, just to chat, truly yours, your biggest fan This is Stan -
this is the same system on my mum's 1991 soarer TT - the lights switch off once the car is off and the door opens - every time i borrow the car, i drive like this - "with the lights on" but mum does it oldschool it's a good little system - however... if you have a turbo timer.. you get out - car running, close the door, car switches off but door doesn't open, meaning - lights stay ON she's flattened the battery twice cos of my style of driving... which is like 90% my own fault thoguh

.....ohyeah. haha that's right they do however charge you early cancellation fees, which generally pay them back the interest you may have owed take my advice, or don't, it's *her* call nobody else's... but, i don't see the point in egtting a loan for such a small amount of money if she's capable of saving the way she already has been doing so.

if you enjoy riding - that will change

Import A Kenstyle Rear Bumper... How?anyone Can Help?
Mr Eps replied to bosco's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)

hi i'm by no means qualified to comment nor am i smart or any of the likes - however, as you said - she's SAVED 2 grand already - the must be an accomplishment of sorts??? so if she's saved that much after 3 months working, (let's say it was from this) then she's clearly more than capable of saving up more... loaning 7 grand from a bank for a car, to put it into perspective - let's say they charge you 15% interest, this is a very high interest rate... but we'll use it as an example anyway... 1% of 7 grand = $70. 70 x 15 = 1050 that's $1,050 a year over let's say five years = $5,250. that's over 5 grand for a loan you only borrowed 7 grand for. that's borrowing money for a depreciating asset that won't be worth half that in 5 years time. okay so maybe 15 was a little bit steep - bear in mind i was getting around that much interest quote looking at unsecured loans... okay here's a real quote - from "aussie" 13.79% "low itnerest rate" over lets say a 3 year loan this time... = $2895.90 costs in interest - plus the 7 grand so that's now over 10 thousand dollars. to pay off a seven grand loan... on a depreciating asset please flame me and shoot me down if my calculations are false.. however this is what iv'e come up with - this isn't inclusive of other fees such as flagfall loan fees, early payment fees, possible missed payment fees, etc etc banks are insane at the moment. my advice is - if possible.. don't get a loan. if she can save that much then she should be capable of saving more... you look at housing graphs and the way that prices have gone since howard introduce the first home owner's grant, which was backed by the reserve bank - it has inflated the price of australia's housing, to the cars, to everything, which has meant people have had to lend more.. and interest rates subsequently go up. my ex gf got a suzuki swift on pure finance... poor thing "minimum repayment of only $110 a week" yeah, right, 110 x 52 weeks, over 4 years. she's got a $22.880 loan to pay for a car that was only 16 grand + ORC from the yard. it's bullshit. mark my words. the banks are out to rob us (by saying "us" i mean generation Y) blind of our every penny. they're the true evil. and we trust them whole heartedly and "accept" that this is normal. we're led to beleive the banks are there to help us... america - in case you haven't heard - is in a housing CRISIS!!! those are big words - houses can't be bought by the average income earners in america food for thought average price for a house in america - $175, 000 US average income for an ameican couple - $120,000 US comparitively speaking Average income for an australian earning couple - $129,000AUD Average income for an australian home with FHOG - $470,000 ++++ we're told things by the banks "property's booming" "now's the time to buy" "get approved for a loan now" the banks are the sole reason that our real estate and our cars cost the prices that they do. nobody else is to blame. why the fuck would you want to borrow money off a bank!? EDIT: just a quick one, if she HAS to get a loan - fair enough... but if she's gonna get a loan - then please for god's sake learn everything you can about them before you jump two feet in to a debt that will have you by the balls for the next few years of your life.

regarding warranty - my phone was purchased in singapore, therefore the warranty is honoured in singapore. so if something goes wrong with it, sony ericcsson singapore in held liable would this be the case with JDM gtr?? would warranty be served by nissan japan? personally i think there's no contest between the ADM vs JDM.. only advantage is JDM is much cheaper. however... the fact you can't import them anymore is a bit of an issue. even if you CAN import series one gtr - it makes it very rare find and very dicey to get the "correct" (eligable) model
-
hahaha no no no i didn't mean it like that - i lose interest in cars very quickly main reason being i can't find one that fits my every criteria... new... japanese.. fast... affordable i've had a cefiro for nearly six years.. i love it because it's a four door. it's turbo. it's practical and turns heads everywhere i've considered many different cars - the jzx110 appeals to me most as it's a suitable replacement for the cefiro, a 2003 model will be fairly new, toyota engineering and interior is always a big tick. actually - andrew jzx100 - question for you... i read somewhere that ALL 1jzGTE's were single turbo after 1997, doing away with the parallel twin turbo setup found in the zenki soarers.. is this true? if so - does the jzx110 have a single turbo 1j??? this makes things much easier for insurance purposes =)
-
i'm not an R35 owner and shouldn't comment buttttttt i cant help myself auto wipers is a myth (i've heard) auto headlights are on the JDM though but is that something you really can justify getting denied access to parts and servicing by nissan? extra colours??? what colours do we have that JDM doesn't??? and furthermore ...can you even import GTR's now? i thoguht that would not have been allowed once the ADM gtr commenced sale?? if you're looking for a saving there's a 2nd hand gtr in perth... it's in a yard... dunno what would make someone wanna sell so soon into the ownership and lastly - the nissan debacle... has any JDM owners even so much as tried to get nissan to work with theM??? is it even true or was it all just a hoax? in my eyes until a JDM owner gets turned away by every nissan dealer within range.. then it's true, ..but if it's NOT a hoax - can nissan DO that??? legally?
