yea but i mean flat / downhill speed not uphill the bowery would be quicker than alias, correct? bear in mind im running maxxis xenith tyres
-
it'd be an freewheel SS, i dont see what the purpose of everyone having fixies is!!!! and, basically, it's flat with a few hills all over the place, small hills but hills none the less, they're a challenge this is my thoughts alias versatile technological gears shocks discbrakes "lazy" (can change gears at a hill) mashup simple compact purpose built for speed challenging ride (better for fitness maybe?) like yeah, both bikes ARE being used for the same thing, BUT, the difference is "i'm feeling lazy, i wanna use gears/i wanna go trails riding" or "i feel like a workout and am going to a cafe and want something that looks trendy parked next to my soy-a-cino-latte" also, do these bikes go FAST? the net says they're built for NUTSO speed however when it est rode one it seemed similar speed to my alias? if they go fast then i'm pretty much sold come tax time!
-
ok so kinda thinking of getting a 2nd bike to go with the alias not exactly sure if i'll do it or not but... toying with the notion of getting a designated road bike, the two im looking at are, CRX.... and the Bowery Mashup crx-one hammers freaking hard as a road bike, however, it has too many things in common with the alias, and if it has too much in comon with the alias then i worry i'll favour one bike over the other, plus the mashup is a single speed, therefore it's a completely different ride to the alias and is therefore no threat to the alias... plus i think the bowery mashup looks fuckkinngggg hot wat you guys reckon?

negatory sir you better come

got maxxis xenith slicks today (sorry marc - too many flatspots from skidding while avoiding being hit by cars!!!) AND a planet bike "blaze" headlight 1watt - WOW what a difference!!! FINALLY i have a light that i can actually SEE stuff with at night AND a new brake rotor, for some reason my other one randomly warped so after i cooled off over the fact i just spent so much money - i went for a 56km bike ride 1 hour and 30ish at first i was iffy about going "full slick" but these tyres are made of a sticky compound and i am VERY impressed with the maxxis tyres - they're SO fast and there's literally NO resistance!!! they make SUCH a big difference... only complaint? is that it makes lean steering a bit harder cos there's no tread on the side of the tyre, so it doesn't "bite" but aside from that they're great! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i do love bikes oh also took a giant CRX-1 for a ride today - that bike is scarilly fast - like.... i've never ridden something that accelerates the way it does, and no matter how i tried i couldn't get it's top speed AMAZING!
-
welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll what do you mean? road bike? giant crx-2 should be in that price range and they hook like crazy

Pontiac Is Officially Dead
Mr Eps replied to craig V8 taffe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
seems companies are using any excuse they can get their hands on to lay off jobs at the moment peter's icecream here in WA was bought out by cadbury's i believe all 180 factory staff lost their jobs about the space of a day i mean REALLY you buy an icecream factory and then ....nobody works there??? who's gonna make the icecream??? but yes we'll see wat happens with holden it's a sticky one cos people need to spend money not get into debt and you can't pay cash for a new holden! -
i love the fact that my lockout is just located on my bars... it is just soooo freaking convenient to just lock on when hauling ass on road but then like just before hitting a bump / launching onto footpath / doing a skiddy / impressing a girl i just unlock it and away i go bitches love it. ps may be getitng a cruiser project this weekend for shits n gigs. again - i know it's gonna be a useless bike but it'll look wicked clearly i have a problem with wanting a useless bike that just looks nice. so i may as well get it out of my system the bike is a vintage and it's $150 - you reckon this is too much costings?
-
ah that's a shame - and FYI my bike happily keeps up with car traffic and easilly beats my mate on his CRX-2 =) i'm extremely proud of my ride yo also while we're on this topic - i'm waatchiing this on frdiay night with a mate - can't wait!!! ok youtube isn't working at my work but it's called MashSF basically it's a bunch of dude hammering the CRAP out of fixeys in SF traffic like highway traffic banked back and these guys are doing about 60kmh ducking n weaving in n out of lanes wait working now ps WORD to skitching off a V35

bahahahahhahaha another avenue to look at ken is hitting up giant for a warranty replacement - see if they don't have the parts on hand and if they don't have a cry and say you want an upgrade - buttttt i like marc, so i reckon it's better give him money anyways so marc - the wheels - what's the go? are you aware of a 26" that will fit discs n shit? i was thikning lastnight while i was swimming... if you have 30 thin spokes then as your wheel spins then the force is distributed over those 30 thin weightless spokes but 5 thick fat spokes means more weight is pushed to the outside of the wheel, creating less rolling resistance and making me go really really super fast is my assumption correct? i think it makes sense =/
-
thinking of getting some 5 spoke mage to put on my alias...make it look even more 90's than it already does. - marc would these go on to a bike with disc brakes and gears??? they look like they'd only be suitable for fixies with vbrakes... also

i lost 8kg without thermo's and 16kg with thermo's having researched into for me personally XLR8 is the best product, because the caffeine is derived from guarana NOT coffee IE hydroxycut therefore it makes you less "jittery" also everything else is a natural source it's got less caffeine than the other products and allows you to sleep when you want the way they work, is the caffeine supresses your appetite and accelerates the rate you burn off food it also allows you to run further, and faster, and push more weight, etc the thermo's themselves don't just work they just enable you to go further and fast and harder i guess

u should "take" protein no matter what, if your exercising or not, that's an EATING thing not an exercise thing but that said btw - im on dymatize tastes GREAT but it's also really low fat low carb low everything except for protein which is all i want but beware protein supplements are just that - supplements it's for when you're not getting enough protein from your foodstuffs, like, yeah, they are great for after workout for building muscle but it's also good to hav a second scoop at morning tea time just because it keeps your protein up failing that the following foods are excellent and great tasting sources of protein skim milk (12g casein per 250ml glass) skim cottage cheese (this is GREAT stuff - like 30g per tub n the chive one tastes great!) eggs (albumen 7g an egg) spinach tuna in oil - oil's great for muscle definition i hear, i haven't noticed anything though! salmon (rich in omega3 as is fishoils which are great for fat burning and muscle development) high protein cereals - avail from health food shops, all bran is high in protein i beleive? can anyone cross reference this? timtams (GREAT tasting.... nah jk these are really bad for you but F*CK they are delicious) i know this seems stupid but check the nutritional breakdown of a mcdonalds cheeseburger - they're actually now that high in fat and contain 15g of protein a serve! oh and beef steak and KANGAROO STEAKS!!! (it's good meat!!!!) but yeah if you're about 90kg i suggest about 250 - 300g of protein a day for building muscle yo... it's hard to get that much for me cos i simply can't eat that much hahaha

if you're in the gym "like everyday" you won't bulk up.. you bulk up because of how you repair your muscles after ripping them up in the gym, so say you do one and a half hours of working out in the gym, that's the time that you'r ripping up your muscle fibres, following this, you have to "feed" them, this can be done by a few different things cold shower followed by hot shower after your workout (constricts and opens blood vessels and is good for circulation - feels great too, helps you not be sore the next day) Protein - whey isolate is the fastest acting protein and if you CAN drink it mix it up with skim milk too - contain casein (slow acting protein) and electrolytes and vitamin B which is great for after exercise... also contains a nice amount of carbohydrates so skim milk is my ideal "post exercise drink" magnesium and potassium - found in oranges and orange juice, have one small glass a day though, i personally mix 3g of creatine (enough for body tone) with my orange juice after my workout too.. and most importantly REST if you rip up muscles in the gym, and feed them afterwards, they will only get bigger if you get the correct amount of sleep and rest.. if you're always working them and not giving them time to rest and form then you won't notice any diffence except strength now i'm not qualified or anything, i'm fairly knowledgable and have lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of muscle tone over the months, i've battled weight for a long time.. so this worked for me and can work for literally anyone - we're not all THAT different.. hydroxycut hardcore i've heard good things about however i take BCN's XLR-8, it's a natural formula the caffeine is derived from guarana seed, and it's a west australian company, it's cheaper too.. content wise i haven't compared it to hydroxycut... but they're both a thermogenic which are there to pick up your metabolism while the caffeine suppresses your hunger to binge eat.. they work like that and give you more energy to work out for longer therefore burn more fat... but the reality is, it's YOU that does the work, not supplements also look into GDMA's containing amino acids as they will help lose your "gut" but "gut" can be caused by a few thigns the main cause is diet specifically sodium / salts, it gives us gut bloat so limit that and you'll notice a size decrease increase your cardio before breakfast, wake up, have a thermo pill, go for a run... reason being, you haven't eaten since dinner lastnight, so your body has burned off all carbs and proteins from your last meal, so the only other fuel in your body left is your fat. it's really that simple... and WHEN you run... tense up your abs as much as you can for as long as you can, you don't need to do crunches and sit ups and bends and lifts and whatever everyday, it's a load of crap, a half hour of abs, once a week, is enough.... but fact is abdominals are a support muscle, when you run, they get worked out. when you ride, they get worked out. when you swim, they get worked out. my advice is... don't "trim" before you "bulk" just do it all at once. it's not that hard =)

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh OR you could just hop on a board.. haha skate has a nice blend of fantasy cos it still enables you to pull off sick unbeleivable lines buttttt it's also difficult like you don't just "lock" onto a grind as you do in tonyhawk i really love skate like i really really love it... skate 2 you can hop off the board n pull things around like you can go to a bank, go round the back, find a dumpster, pull the dumpster onto the stairs n grind it providing the security don't see you it's just amazing the stuff you can do in it!!!

EASILLY the best skating game so far i love it got it on the weekend it's my favorite game so far it's soooooo.... "interactive" like there's nothing that can't be done in it maybe i'm bias cos i skate myself, but... even if you're not a skate i can't imagine anyone not liking it, thoughts?
