how can you guys NOT love the R33 GTR??! sorry i think they're one of the better looking gt-r's they're big, hulky, nice wing... then again i'm a fan of eclectic styling my other favourite gt-r is the kenmerri skyline but seriously how can you HONESTLY say that these are not beautiful cars??

ok here's what you do obtain c spanners from somewhere. jack up car. get under car. get dirty. try to work out c spanners. measure up ride height. change ride height. possibly cut your hands if you forgot to put gloves on. swear. give up halfway thru. get a passiona. sit on couch. wait for it to get dark. try again. give up again. swear. go to bed. get up for work the enxt morning and realise u don't have a car to get to work in and it's all your own fault. take a day off work to fix the mess you made. realise overnight someone nicked your c spanners. swear. go on forum and make thread asking for more c spanners. wait. swear. wait. wish you never started it. OR... pick up phone. call a suspension shop. pay them to do it. be happy and stress free with lowered and aligned and wheel balanced car.

to answer your question - the astra was for sale for 3.500 but they made me sign a contract under duress with 4 strongmen jap bike wogs too not the oldschool ones these guys had noooo... "Decorum" at least oldschool bikers will give you a chance and have some respect to begin with these guys were just clits the sad part was they were all about 25-30 years old and went over to some guy's house to push around a singlular 19 year old kid ...but f**k i hated that hsv astra hahaha

hmm, interesting thread i was 19 when i sold my hsv astra i was at home alone when i got a call from a guy saying he was coming to have a casual look then n there 5 mins later 4 bikie looking wogs rock upto my house start looking over the car then they tell me to go inside n draw up a contract im like well we haven't discussed the sale yet he's like we will so they stood around me while my neighbours all looked on even though i called them over and i drew up a sale contract that the car would be sold for $1000 signed under heavy duress they were rather rude and pushy - frnakly i'd rather not go into it then the next day after i discussed the issue with my parents dad blew his stack that night htye came over to pick up to car to greet my dad and i who was gonna show "him a lesson" ...then he saw the size of them, like, im a big guy.. infact im HUGE.. but even by my standards these guys were massive they came over, tried to take the car for the thousand dollar duress signed contract, then tried to steal the keys off me in short words were exchanged i got grabbed around the throat dad got threatened with his life then mum said she'd call the cops if they didn't leave they said DO IT WE'RE NOT SCARED then she did it they left immediately - saying this "isn't the end" infact TOO immediately - to the point that it was scary that they left so easilly after causing such a fuss i got many sleepless nights for a while there thinking they were gonna come back n steal the car or attack my family or even worse do a burnout on my lawn

i'm sorry to hear this, i personally suggest you install "baffle flanges" in your exhaust, this is easilly done they just "slot in" at your joinnig points but you would have to speak to an exhaust shop about the intricacies of this ie: it's effectiveness and stuff is your exhaust REALLY that incredibly loud??? if i may share a story with you i had a yellow sticker this year my car is perfect, completely clean order albeit highly midified i got a yellow sticker and took the car over past the midland DPI they defected me for minor things, the only thorn in my side was my window tint because their light meter showed my tint as 28% light emittance wich 29% is the OFFICIAL cutoff - they have to allow %6 discrepency from the 35% allowance if that makes sense so i - rather than stress out and hate the world and yell and scream and think that "this was the end" rather than remove my $350 worth of tint only to re-apply another $350 worth ..i rang the warwick centre and requested that i speak to the head examiner - and said that while i'm an intelligent guy i feel that im unsure about the previous test performed at midland - turns out the head examiner at warwick is a higher ranking officer than most vehicle examiners in WA and knows his stuff he requested that i bring the car to him for a re-examination based on my dispute against the first exam he looked my car over, saw that i had fixed outher things on the sheet, then got the light meter his light meter read at 33% light emittance - meaning i was in the clear he then sent a written warning to the midland centre telling them they have falsely told a customer of DPI that he has to remove his window tint and to calibrate their light meters MORAL OF THE STORY a condition of "get permits for all modifications" is NOT a condition.... WHAT modifications? just find them yourself and hope for the best? NO. dpi doesn't work that way my advice is.. review your work order - if there's a condition stating you have to change your exhaust, then please do so - if not, why go to the effort? get in touch with the warwick centre, explain that you have had the yellow sticker for 4 months and would just like his opinion, explain that one of the conditions is to "get permits for modifications" explain to him this doesn't explain WHAT this entails or what work needs to be carried out - explain to him that you're upset after 4 months and just want this ordeal over as quickly as possible hopefully, you won't even have to bother with this scenario the guy at warwick doesn't know about your exhaust - dont mention ANYTHING about your exhaust, if he wants to defect it - then ask for his advice on how to fix it. the car was complied and registered with that exhaust in the past - no laws have changed - so you'll hopefull be ok best of luck!

please post the full conditions and details of this please?? what exhaust have you currently got? what centre placed this condition upon the defect? if it's just noise test, get an exhaust shop to place flanges / baffles between the mufflers if your car is deemed too noisy by a DPI noise reader - then it's TOO noisy - even for you just pay the labour and get your existing exhaust quietened down permanently so you can have a permanent fix to the problem - avoid more defecture - and have a pleasant drive in the future as opposed to a bandaid to the problem to the best of my knowledge permits cannot be a requirement - only a suggestion - nothing has gone thru state government regarding this please provide more details as for your idea - get your exhaust fixed and muffled. don't bother trying to track down a "spare" exhaust - there isn't one
