hey guys, figured i'd post this in import forum cos you guys always have full PM inboxes i'm looking at buying an F50 cima soon (SOON soon) just wondering the average cost breakdown of importing these minus the car itself, ie your service fee shipping costs how much does compliance cost is it best to get compliance done in QLD and then have re-shipped to WA? if so do you know how much this will cost? tax? GST? not looking for REAL figures here just looking for approximations of haing the car landed and complied from the auctions but without the cost of the car itself cos that will make things too complex cos that's a variable figure i only want the concrete ones =)

dude buy the blue cefiro? save up another 2 grand and it's yours! check the cefiro section it's for sale in there, you have a choice of 9grand to buy as a pure track car or 12 grand to have it complied and road rego'd GREAT way to get a wicked sick hot looking track / daily but no offence but you're pipe dreaming at have 10K for a track AND daily...

i paid....... 700??? i think 700 for every single fluid flushed and replaced, timing belt, all other belts, and water pump and a few other bits n bobs bear in mind, different state different mechanic your price sounds fine but i owuld replace waterpump while you're there, it's supposed to get done at 120xxx kms but save yourself the extra payment of labour this way... ..AND take into consideration that the car is like a billion years old now, so it's about time you replaced the pump too

have you tried cleaning them? just a suggestion...

my advice is as follows and i'm speaking on the matter cos i did it if you really want to upgrade to turbo just buy a turbo kit and put it on the motor yourself i am running an RB20de+T and it hammers nice and hard, and because of the high compression cylinders i still keep the lower torque and boost is basically instant, as instant as a turbo can be... keep in mind, RB engines keep the same block, so the oil feed/return lines are already there they're just plugged up it's not THAT hard to do, not somehting i would rush out to do again though, but the results are, my rb20 will beat rb25., and most important of all, it's reliable as anything, i love my RB20de+T free revving, high compression, instant boost response,
