  7. hi every one, I had an incident involving a curb last saturday night, when I had my ambitions mix up with my capabillitys, and decided to go drifting my gtr. anyway, I slid the ass end into the curb and took out my rim, lower controle, and hicas steering rod, and was wondering if anyone had an old hicas rack so i could buy a rod off it and im also chasing a rim its a advan racing three spoke 18"x10" to suit 275, 35, 18 tyres, I realise this rim is rare, so even a second hand set of 18x 10 inch rims I would cosider buying rather than buying a tyre/rim set and wasting 2k worth of tyres if ya wondering what the rim looks like have a look at these pics
  8. hello everyone, I have a r33 gtr with hks adjustibles under it, and am getting a painfully anoying "dook, dook, dook" noise coming from the left hand front suspention. It only happens when I go over bumps on that side, nothing that I can see is loose in the multi link and I have had a crow bar on all of the bushes and cant find any movment, besides they all still look ok. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this before and could save me the expensive exersize of trial and error re-bushing. Any feed back on this one, would be greatly appreciated. :spcartman Oh, and theres no movement in the wheel bearing or wheel pivot either. CHEERS!
  9. No offence dude! not calling you lyer, just trying to convince my self, not fishing for a bite, although I think I got one! :uh-huh:
  10. sorry to butt in here guys, but could the dust have got in to the oil system through the oil return from the turbo, would the compressor wheel have moved forward, removing the shaft from the seal surface,(is that possible? or dose the ceramic wheel take the shaft with it when it seperates?) if not than I spose the oil preasure would have kept it out. wrxhoon. are you sure its not parts of the compressor wheel or somthing else? still dosnt explain how it might have got past the filter, unless, dose the rb26 have a buy pass? ie. for too high a preasure or blocked filter so the engine is not starved of oil. Im no RB guru just trying to relate it to my trade, which is large turbo charged diesles.
  11. really just a big rock shifted in the bin.
  12. thanks dudes, Im gonna take it in to gtrken on thursday, well see what he finds. p.s. check out the chassis twist on this baby!
  13. Yeah, Has Yours Got After Market Nismo Dash Panel?
  14. sorry about the bullsh!t heading, bit of an experiment, it worked though, got 65 views in half a day!
  15. Hi, so now I have all of your attention, I was wondering if I could pick all ya brains on something. I am buying a r33 gtr, (rb26) and had a compression test done on it and the results were as follows (psi) 105, 105, 105, 110, 125, 110, now the mechanic said that was good. and as I belive it, it is good as the lowest reading is more than 75% of the highest, but I was wondering if the over all (psi) was to low, ie. I have herd the rb26 is suposed to have 171 psi as a factory fresh motor, if this is the case than is it right that the motor has droped that much compression in (an aparent) 66,000kms. Im a little parinoid, as Ive never spent sooo! much money!! any advice would awsome!
  16. plus, im not that clued up on RB's..................................yet! good luck though!
  17. sorry, for being a smart arse but its gotta be better than talking to your self!
  18. Ive never herd a frog sound come from an engine before! but first thing to check would be your cars enviroment, Ive herd when theres something wrong with the enviroment that frogs are the first thing to get sick! :spcartman
  19. was it in the picture! sh!t, I just got buy e-mail, and I thought I was being all original and sh!t! it is clever though.
  20. Hi, Im buying a GTR and want to know if it is a genuine v-spec, if someone has access to FAST, could you please post and I will PM you the chassis no. thanks in advance. p.s. check out this plumbers paint job.
  21. ps. have a look at B.P.'s petrol price rise apolligy!!!
  22. hey guys, any one able to help me out? I am buying a r33 gtr v-spec and am unsure of a few things. :gaga: the first is a fair price for a 95-96 model, I was thinking about 40, for I want one as close to stock as possible the second is how to tell a genuine v-spec ie. how do I tell it has the active diff in it, and also the lower suspention, and any other differfences. the last thing is if anyone knows what problem areas ie.things to look out for, that go wrong mecanically. I am a diesel fitter, so talk slow for me ie. most used tools are hammers, chisels, oxy,=rough as guts any feed back would be awsome!!!! :spcartman
  23. hey dudes, im buying a r33 gtr v-spec, could any one tell me the usual problem areas they have and whats a resonable price to pay for one, also how to tell if it is a genuine v-spec, like how do i tell if it has an active diff and the lower suspention. :headspin: any advice would br great! :newbie:
