  1. Ah righto. Yeah I've been on onsills for ages, about half my mates are minitruckers and the other half are import guys. I think I have the minitruck side of things sorted, I just need info on Stageas.
  2. Thanks for your interest Stagea97, do you know what the IRS in your photo is from? I've looked into more traditional setups, but I've been talking to an engineer for the last few months, and he believes it's 100% doable from his perspective. The only major legal hurdle we can see is the fact that Queensland Transport doesn't like to reduce GVMs on light commercials as too many people did it just so they could run big wheels. I think I have a chance at an exemption because I only use my Rodeo as a daily, and the only thing it ever really carrys is my 100kg electric wheelchair (I have a crane that lifts it into the tray). I will be asking for an exemption based on the fact that an IRS conversion, whilst complex and expensive, is the best way to get my Rodeo to sit low (so I can transfer from my chair) whilst giving the best possible ride and handling qualities. I have Occupational therapists and engineers willing to back me on the practicality. All I need is some info on Stagea load ratings, and some photos of your IRS's. Then I can start writing up my submission.
  3. Hey guys, I have this 1990 Holden Rodeo with a 1JZ in it (don't h8). The dream is to build a custom rear chassis with mount points to allow a complete Nissan IRS to be bolted in under it, then go coilovers all round. Here's the plan I drew up: I want this to be engineered and daily driveable in Queensland, which means asking DOT if I can reduce the load rating on my Rodeo from 1 tonne to something closer to what a Nissan IRS can handle. I was originally planning to go for an IRS out of an S14, but then I remembered C34 Stageas run a very similar rear end, right? And if it told DOT that I was sourcing my IRS from a wagon with a 1500kg towing capacity, it would look better than saying I pulled the rear end off a tiny little sports coupe. So what I would be super grateful if any of you could supply is: - Any photos you have of your Stagea IRS, - Underbody shots - Any info on spring rates etc - And if someone could get me the part off the tyre placard with the recommended load rating on the rear tyres, that would be a bonus. Thanks heaps for your time. Cheers, Archie.
