  1. Blitz front mount in today. Modified the supplied brackets and fitted slimline fan, like for the HDI kit so no cutting up the reo bar.
  2. Here's how I got mine out: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/459839-m35-dump-pipe-diy-install/ You can see the bung in the front pipe between the front flange and the flex which I will be using for my Innovate SCG-1.
  3. So, are 34 gtt calipers the same as 33 gtst apart from the 14mm mounting bolts? I'm assuming you don't need to trim the backing plate with the 33 gtst rotors.
  4. VHT caliper gold. Here they are behind the rims painted VHT graphite (going to clear gloss the rims): and finally got the stainless spacers and longer bolts:
  5. Not a Volvo moment but my wifey rang me in a fluster as I was replacing the alternator in her Mazda Tribute (trying to convince her we need a second M35). She was being nice and filling up the Stag for me but could not find the petrol flap button. So of course I told her there was no button just push on the flap. At this point she started getting in more of a flap (ha) saying she had already tried that. Now the kids were getting feral in the back so she opened the car to see what the little buggers were fighting about at which point I asked if the car was locked whilst she was trying to open the flap? LIGHT BULB! Does anyone else lock their cars when they fill up with petrol? They say you learn something new everyday!
  6. So, I ended up patching the gutter rash and filling the "velvet" logos with permatex "steel weld". I've gone for gold calipers and I'll be painting the rims "graphite". Top coat to go on tomorrow then some 235/45 Falken FK453's when it cures.
  7. That's what I'm doing, just waiting on my engineer to get through his Christmas/New Year backlog. Here's the R33 GTS-t calipers ready to go on (once I put some pads in them):
  8. I'm happy with the improvement of fitting EBC reds to my stock front brakes and have had no issues (EBC got a bit of a bad name with warped and worn discs but have since improved their compounds). I'm currently rebuilding and painting front GTS-t callipers I picked up for $150 with discs. Just waiting on some 14-12mm spacers for the mounting bolts and also painting some 18" wheels to go on.
  9. He spelled it "wood". Got wood?
  10. Double Unicorn! Anyone got a cargo net/barrier for sale? Away with the wife and my two daughters for 10 days, I need some serious shed time! Merry Christmas.
  11. So I got these over the weekend, they are ANZ "Velvet" (yes, velvet) in 18x8.5 +35. Two are in good nick, two with a bit of rash that will need filling. Keeping in mind these are going on a red NM35 which will also have a set of R33 GTST front callipers I am rebuilding, here is what I am thinking: Patch up the rash with filler, touch up with "chrome" paint and give them a polish, callipers black or colour coded red. (my least favourite idea as they will look ratty bling). Patch the rash, matt or satin black rims, gold or red colour coded callipers. (probably my favourite, brembo gold, black rims, headlights, grill etc). Patch the rash, gunmetal/charcoal rims, gold or red colour coded callipers. " " " , gold rims with black or red colour coded callipers. Only going to paint as I don't want to spend too much on these nasty rims with powdercoat or plasti-dip. Whichever way I go I will also fill in the "Velvet" logo and ditch the "ANZ" caps. All opinions/other ideas will be greatly..............ignored, especially if they are, "hey mate, they're rubbish, save up and buy some decent rims you cheapskate!"
  12. How about a good old 20 and an occy strap?
  13. Had the same problem the other day. Put my boost leak tester here: Had a boost leak on my SR 1600 and was a real high pitched squeal but with the stag not so much. I ended up using my hand to feel for air and eventually found it when I took the front bumper off. Ended up being the intercooler intake pipe hose clamp.
  14. One of these: http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/scg1.php
  15. Not so much a what have I done but a what I will do when the wife and kids give me 5 minutes of peace! Next on the list will be coilovers, looking at MCA, Blitz ZZ-R and BC BR RS. Anyone running the Blitz or MCA or anything else they are happy with?
  16. I should have said not my car, just liked the pic. Not the safest to be looking at your glovebox area when driving. You'd want your gauges front and centre in a race car but I like the sleeper look and just open the lid for test and tune on a back road in a street car.
  17. I like hiding them where the dvd-rom is (not a big fan of gadgets all over the dash but each to their own)
  18. 80mm, 3.125" x 100mm, 4" long.
  19. Isn't it spelt doucheworks? Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
  20. Yep, you need that plus the the fascia (I have a black one if you are interested) http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/456651-wtb-stagea-m35-centre-dash/ Or cut your fascia like this. Or get the Metra kit.
  21. Each to their own. I pink it looks good.
  22. Not the best pics but spotted this Stag out the front of the Epworth hospital in Box Hill on Friday night.
  23. I had to use a Beat-Sonic NSA-04 (from Chris Rogers) when I did mine. Adapts to the factory amp.
  24. C5 RS6 Plus, noice!
