  1. Is it fujitnismo or fujitsumo?
  2. New toys to play with over the weekend!
  3. Spotted these on the Vic Stagea cruise:
  4. http://www.shannons.com.au/library/documents/Motor_Insurance_PDS.pdf Pages 20-21 "We will not pay for: chips and fractures that do not affect the integrity of the glass" a bit of a grey area open to opinion. I'd recommend not saying the word "Stagea". When my windscreen was done with the roadworthy they sent a C34 windscreen even though I told them "M35 same as V35 Skyline" Cost me $250 fitted.
  5. Don't forget tasteful beige and woodgrain RX! As Scotty said, quality oil and regular changes, 180,000km on my stock turbo (probably jinxed myself). I had to do rear sway bar links, front caster bushes (superpro) and a front driveshaft boot for my roadworthy. Are you importing or buying locally? Do some hard cornering if test driving to check for front wheel bearing noise. My front left did not get picked up during roadworthy (costs $250 each from Nissan). Bose stereo is a DOG and can affect the ac controls and drain the battery. Pop up TV satnav is no good in Aus, costs $250 for engrish conversion and needs aftermarket tuner. Good hunting!
  6. $400 delivered. (Have seen them go for cheaper in black, silver or white but was happy to pay a bit more to get the factory paint match)
  7. Swallows an armchair easy! I'm amazed at how much crap 3 girls need for 2 nights away!
  8. Got myself a factory spoiler off Yahoo Japan. I'll have to change the shape of my "fast groceries" sticker now!
  9. Had the same problem in my RX, just used rubber cement and a small spatula, holds well.
  10. Noice! Excuse my ignorance but what are the two switches in front of the cup holder. My RX only has the one switch on the console for the attesa.
  11. Finally got around to fitting my shift kit and trans cooler, just in time for winter! Not overly difficult if you can follow instructions and want to save some coin. Found this link very helpful: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/install-transgo-5eat-hd2-shift-kit-detailed-walkthrough-179771.html?s=dcd16933bed3a952245c81712c15ba64& Definitely needed the 1/2" spade bit for one of the springs and make sure you have lots of rags handy! Took a few progress pics: In "D" it is similar to stock at light throttle but when you floor it, it is much snappier between shifts without being too clunky. Maybe holds in gear a bit longer like having a power button. Also found that when you floor it up to 60km/h and then back off it doesn't over rev and hunt for a gear anymore. Similar to stock In tip-tronic on the upshift but find it smoother on the downshift. Only downside I have found so far in a week of driving is when in "D" it tends to thunk a bit down into first when coming to a complete stop (but not in tip-tronic). Overall happy with the mod and I will be using tip-tronic more often rather than just punting around in drive.
  12. http://www.goo-net.com/catalog/NISSAN/STAGEA/ 3,250,000 yen for a 2001 250T RX FOUR Aussie dollar only got about 65 yen back in 2001-2002 so about $50,000.
  13. Well done to the Nismo GTR winning the 12 hour at Bathurst! Nissan, (and Japan) building better cars for cheaper!
  14. Drilled new holes to lift the number plate up a bit to cover the raised area on the bumper and then cut out the lower grill which was cracked and faded and replaced it with black mesh. It's only the stock bumper (and it needs a good cut and polish) but I think it looks a bit neater.
  15. This was in Bendigo, I didn't see it advertised anywhere, I would think it would be nation wide (but I never assume). If other stores aren't doing a clearance maybe say, "but a guy at Bendigo Repco got his for cheap!" or ring Bendigo and see if they will post. I got the 6cyl one and they had at least one each of the other sizes left.
  16. Was just down at my local Repco and they have PWR trans. cooler kits on clearance at the moment. They do 4 sizes in 19mm thick: 4cyl 280x110, 6cyl 280x150, 8cyl 280x200 and heavy duty 280x255. 6 cyl was $74 and 8 cyl was $75 which is about half price (didn't price the other two).
  17. Finished installing cruise control kit from Commsman, all good! Used an Axxess SWC interface with the factory switches and my Alpine head unit, works perfectly. Put on my brand new, second hand front quarter panel to fix my roo damage. Love Yahoo Japan, $21 with indicator! (plus freight of course). Just had to swap the grey trim piece. No $550 excess, claim against my name, car gone for a week or newly painted panel next to 10 year old paint. Found this rubber drain under the battery compartment when I removed the quarter which was clogged with dirt and leaves and bugs and ewoks, remember reading somewhere about this compartment filling up with water and corroded third fuse boxes. Might pay to clean out the other side as well. Next project: Going to take off the front bumper to see what size cooler I can fit (think I'll go for a PWR)
  18. My trip computer on the nav screen isn't working (except for the time). I'm assuming it runs off the gps antenna and not a speed signal like the dash trip computer. It picked up a signal once before but since then nothing. I tried a different gps antenna but that didn't work. Not that important but would be nice to have it working. Not sure if this will affect service reminder too. Here's a pic of the screen. All other functions work fine (compass, fuel use etc)
  19. Busy weekend. New battery, biggest I could fit, 260Lx170Wx200H, 680CCA, bit of aluminium for the strap, earth lead pointing backwards to clear the fuse box. Nice new clean pollen filter in the background sucking fresh air from the battery compartment!? Finally got rid of the stuffed Bose stereo (someone needs a slap for designing that circuit board with the integrated AC controls) Alpine CDE-154EBT, custom colour display to match the interior lights. Got my roof mount DVD playing through the front screen. My car also came from Japan with an "R-spec, NTV-165, Multi-vision Controller" which allows PASSENGERS to watch movies while driving (Mr police officer). Found a glovebox light while putting in the stereo which I could not get to work, globe was good, all fuses good, found something online about it coming on with parkers but still no good so I decided to wire it up to constant power and a switch so it comes on when you open the glovebox (perfect spot for a switch if you take out the right hand side rubber bump stop). Modified the holder to take a bigger bulb and opened it up where it clips in to let more light through. (Too much work for a glovebox light!?)
  20. Spotted this Stagea at the 2007 Nissan/Datsun Nationals at Phillip Island. Just been flicking through iPhoto at all my old pics and found these.
  21. The weekend toy now that I have the Stagea as my daily.
