That's what I was waiting for. Cheers man. Haha. Someone who's actually had it. Thanks everyone. Gonna just do a paint job and sell and get something else. In East of Melbourne in Yarra Valley if anyone would know of anyone interested. Probably between 12-15k. Got 130 on clock.
-
And by stock filter what do you mean?
-
I did not. I'm still waiting on a few parts. I was going to get back in there to do the water pump when I get it. But I didn't know to do the shaft or seals?

I have a n/a though man so taking that into consideration does it all still work the same.

So recently iv just done the 100k on my GT. 6 iridium bkr5eIV - 11. 6 splitfires High flow air panel. New timing belt. New pulleys. Oil and all that shabazz. (no need for oil details) Anyway I still have 10 days to decide to take back the k&n panel and replace. I have been thinking recently about building a cold air intake from the front right side bumper and using a heat Sheild under the AFM. Exchange the panel for pod. My only reasoning is I had a lot of fun working on her doing the above listed and don't want to stop so want a decent project. And B have heard of noise changes. I would be loving to hear if a whistle (ish) noise is possible. I know a lot of people say a standard high flow panel is enough. But if I'd work on a heat shield and a intake pipe all the way from the front right. I couldn't see it taking in a different temp of air from the original air intake under the bonnet catch. Anyway cheers guys. Be keen to hear from you all and if you have any tutorials you know of to post please do so. Laany

Would a spark plug wrench suffice?
-
Thanks for all your help as well man. It's been awesome cheers.
-
I guess I do seem semi retarded with the comments iv been making but generally if you had to describe the tightness could you. I don't have a torque wrench available to me and it's not going to be worth spending that much for it.
-
Just in terms of whether there was anything extra needed to know that could result in damages. But yes when replacing spark plugs the coils are indeed coming out. Just curious for sprays or lubrication or anything but it's all good. Is a torque wrench absolutely necessary for the spark plugs?
-
Hey hey. Has anyone ever used or read these tutorials about changing the spark plugs. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/122284-r34-replacing-spark-plugs-on-neo6-rb20de-rb25de/ http://www.skyline-owners-club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13449 Just wondering if during this process it's possible to replace the coils.cheers

Why not 5s and what's the point of the gap?
-
Ngk bkr5eix - 11 iridium is what I'm looking at, is that good to go?
-
Okay cool. Which are? So I can buy them before I pull them out.
-
Yeah won't come close to fixing it but was just thinking in terms of temperature differences

Just wondering what the absolute best choice for spark plugs in a 01 n/a r34 is. That is all. Also taking into some consideration it has had problems with missing coils. Cheers guys.
-
So I feel as though we didn't come to a diffinitive answer as to what's the best spark plugs for the n/a rb25de?
-
And also when is the timing belt due on a r34 25gt. 2001
-
Okay guys so the coils are failing in my R34 GT rb25de again. Had this problem twice now. First time we ran the motor and removed each coil doing the usual test to find the miss. No luck considering it rarely missed on idle anyway. We ended replacing all 6 however but I can't remember the brand and that seemed to fix the problem. Anyway its now happening again yet more frequently. Seems to be triggered by being under load up hills more often than anything. Rarely on idle. Have ran the same tests on the coils with no luck. Have seen that it could possibly be the loom, and I have heard the loom can be just as much of a pain to test due to its intermittent nature as well. So basically I need to get the car back to 100 % asap. So I'm thinking of just completely replacing, spark plugs, coil packs and the loom. My question is, by just replacing everything, am I prolonging the inevitable miss again. Or will it be a safe fix for some time? Cheers guys.

I'm in the Yarra Valley pretty much. Replaced the spark plugs but haven't cleaned the AFM yet, however not to sure I will bother considering it has started missing more frequently especially under load up hills in low gears around 2 and half revs. So can guarantee the problem is most likely caused by something to do with temperature and the loom considering the miss isn't all the time. I would think if the AFM needed cleaning the miss wouldn't be irregular But let's just say I was to replace the coils, loom and panel filter. What would be the best options considering I'm not looking to save money to not looking to spend a fortune.

Thanks brothers. I'm well off p's but I'm just fixing a few bugs on this car before I look to chucking her on the market to upgrade. We did do trial and error with the coils but it rarely misses and never seems to miss on idle when we have the bonnet of idle which is why I don't mind just replacing all 6 If it were to be the loom, what ways do I have to test it? And again if I were to replace it, just go with genuine Nissan? Do either of you fellas know a link or where I could get new genuine Nissan neo coils?

Howdy everybody, I'm recently new to the forum/community, read a few topics here and there but never joined up. However, currently having a issue with my car and looking for some advice from anyone who can lend a struggling bloke a hand. So, I bought my 2001 r34 25gt at 60k on the clock. At about 90 the standard coil packs started missing the first time. We couldn't find the single coil that was missing. So went ahead and replaced all 6. I bought them on eBay in 2012 and because of some of the websites gayness I can't go back to view last items in detail from that long ago and I can't for the life of me remember what brand they were and other stuff. And I haven't had a chance to pull them out and look at them. However I was just wondering as iv noticed it's a regular problem for neo6 motors with the temperature, if anyone knows the best coils to buy for the N/A 25gt or even any advice on how to combat the problem. Also looking to get a high flow panel filter. Any suggestions on brands or whether it may be better to go a pod filter even though air intake would be warm from motor. Cheers Laanyy
