HI guys I've just done a tutorial on how to replace the regulator in the window. For those that don't know what i'm talking about. Its the thing attached to the motor that pulls the window up and down. So if any of you guys haven't got one thats working. I hope this helps Cheers David P.S. SomeonestoleCC you can have this for cefiroz.com if you like. PM me or something. How to replace a broken window regulator in an A31 Cefiro? One day I was driving along with the window down, and when it came time to wind it back up, nothing happened. So I listened to the motor, it was working. All I could hear was a grinding, crackling noise, time to inspect. The door in question was the front passenger. 1. Remove Door Trim a. Undo screws (red arrows) b. Unclip door trim and remove 2. Remove plastic a. Undo bolts (red arrows) b. Remove handle and speaker c. Remove plastic being careful not to rip it 3. Lower regulator to expose the bolts holding the glass a. For some reason I could just pull in down (this is because the regulator cable was broken, as I found out later) b. Undo the two bolts (red arrows) c. Remove glass from door by sliding it up 4. Remove regulator from door a. undo the seven bolts (red arrows) b. the regulator will drop to the bottom c. Unclip the wire that runs to the motor d. pick it up and remove it from the large hole 5. The fault has been found. The cable is broken (on right). I bought a new one from Nissan ($150) and had to wait 6 weeks. (on left) 6. Remove motor from broken regulator a. There are three screws holding the motor to the regulator b. These are on very tight, so get a tight grip on your screw driver (I swore a few times) 7. Move glass holder on new regulator to the same position on the broken one a. This saves trouble later on b. Use a big flat head screwdriver to do this (pic below) c. Then install the motor onto the new regulator. 8. Install new regulator into the door. a. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Any for cefiro? -
Its pretty simple to do. 1. Remove door trim 2. wind window down until the bolts that hold the glass to the regulator appear (2 i think) 3. Take out the bolts. 4. Remove glass. I have a website link that shows you how to take out the regulator from a maxima if that helps. http://www.a1electric.com/maximareg.htm David

Electric Life Australia will only sell me a regulator and motor. I only want the regualtor for the front and rear. For the front they quoted me $300, lol. Nissan quoted me $195 for front w/out motor and $158 for the rear w/out motor, from japland and i have to wait 4 weeks. David

Hi, I've now broken two window regualtors and have decided to fix them at the same time. I have a few questions; 1. Who apart from nissan can get these? 2. Does the Cefiro share a regualtor with another car, i.e Maxima, Silvia, etc. ? 3. Is it common for these car's to break the cables in the regualtors? Thanks David

Your tailights are S1 taillights. You have the exact same kit as what i have.

I have D2's installed on my car, bought em brand new for $1300 delivered (group buy) and after 4 months of having them installed on my car i've had no problems. They made the car handle sweet as, prior i had KYB shocks with RS-R springs. David

lowest legal hight in SA
oz_cefiro replied to mr 32 4door's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
There are two lowest heights in SA, ground clearance is 100mm, and then there is the eyebrow clearance (which is from the centre of the hub to the guard), which is 375mm. David
