  1. Man this guy gets seriously mangled on those other forums! Funny stuff though! As for stock Charade's beating GTR's, I remember reading a letter sent into SPEED magazine a while ago from some guy claiming that all imports are crap compared to his stock Charade. He got mangled too! "But my mum says I'm cool."
  2. I'm using an Emanage at the moment in my S1 R33, it's not tuned yet though. I haven't had any problems with it after installing it, haven't noticed any power gains either. The car just runs as if it isn't there, until you either get it tuned or try to do a rough tune yourself with the adjustment dials on the front. "But my mum says I'm cool."
  3. I think it would just be a build up of static electricity. I sometimes get this as well, it's fun when you haven't told any passengers about it before hand and you let them get out first! Then they say "Oow, I got a shock! Did you?" and you say "What shock? I don't know what you're talking about, you're crazy!" Gold! "My feet are wet, but my cuffs are relatively bone dry! Everything's comming up Millhouse!"
  4. Hey I actually don't have this box, but my car was meant to be equipped with HICAS. I guess someone removed it before I brought the car? It would explain why I don't get 'funny driving experiences' when my HICAS light comes on. (I have an aftermarked steering wheel) "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  5. That's almost as bad as that blue Civic that was on sale on Ebay about a month ago. What the Hell is wrong with American people? If he parked it somewhere, couldn't you just steal the turbo and pod from him? Just for a laugh of course! "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  6. I use Meguiar's Plastic X, makes them come up good as new. I also have the Scratch X stuff, didn't know I could use it on the headlights though! "Oh no, beta!"
  7. Well you could actually install it yourself, it's very easy to do. But you would need a fuel pressure gauge to set it up correctly, there aren't any markings on the unit. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  8. I got one of these fitted to my car 2 months ago, and was charged something close to fiddy bucks for labor (good thing I had some other things fitted at the same time!) I thought it was something best left for a tuner to do. As far as I could tell, to adjust it you need to turn the nut on the end? No way you could safely do it with out some sort of gauge though. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  9. Yeah I remember seeing this car at the Burswood motor show a while back as well. Still can't decide whether I like it or not. They've even replaced the little 'GT' badges on the sides (underneath the indicators) with chevrolet badges. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  10. Is it a new Emanage or an old one? If it's an older one, it may not be updated with the latest firmware upgrades. When I brought my Emanage a while ago I had difficulties similar to what you are experiencing, and updating the unit solved my problems. I think the latest patch you need is ver 1.47. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  11. I reckon they are pretty cool. There are I think 3 different versions: a GR (has a 1.6L Colt engine, shite), a GPX (2L engine) and a GP Type R (with a 2L MIVEC engine, hells jeah!). I've heard they are pretty reliable. Can't say I've heard of a 4 wheel drive twin turbo version, but some people do turbo charge them. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  12. Seeing as your car is a series 2, I would go for the SAFC-2 over the Emanage if those were my only choices because Emanages cause problems with Series 2 coil packs. (last I checked this was the case, anyone know if they have fixed this yet?). Also as I have gone the Emanage route, I've found that it's a lot easier to find someone who knows their way around an SAFC-2 than an Emanage. This all depends on where you are located however. Oh and while I'm at it I'll say "go the Power FC, it's much better than either of those choices!" before someone else inevitably does. (It's true) "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  13. Hey that's weird. I found a Japanese golf score card behind my glove box when I removed it a while ago. It had a map on the back with directions on how to get to the course and everything. I'm sure people find weird stuff like this in their cars all the time. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  14. I reckon we should all get some of those curb feelers, but instead set them up so if someone tries to merge into your lane with out looking they'll be sure to know you're there quick smart! I got my first gravel rash the other day too, but my rims are white so with a bit of touch up paint it was all sorted. The incident caused me a flat tyre as well; apparantely low profile tyres don't like curbs too much! "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  15. The interior of a Supra isn't built for anymore than 2 people really, unless the people in the back are short or have no legs. There's more room than in the back of an S13 Silvia, but the rear window is sloped so any passangers better not be tall or have no necks. The glove box on the passenger side kind of juts out, so if someone is in the back the person in the front passenger seat will be squashed and at worst have their knees under their chin! But who really buys a car like this to transport 3 or more people on a regular basis? With out passengers there's ample leg room. The 'fighter pilot cockpit' look may or may not be to everyone's taste, the way the aircon and stereo controls 'wrap around you' but I reckon it's good. I personally like the climate control system in Skylines better though, the way all the controls are contained within a single unit and there are no dials/knobs to speak of for fan speed, temperature etc. as there are in the Supra. My brother's car came with Recaro's as a factory option so comfort here is triple plus. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  16. I don't know about that Mi Goreng, I do wanna stay somewhat healthy! The way I see things, I'm getting the use out of any mods/games/what ever so although I'd rather get all (or more!) of my money back when I try to sell things, I've used them and enjoyed them so it isn't so bad. But people are right when they say modifications aren't an investment. I'd like to think they are but that's just not the case. They might be somewhat an investment if you sold the car to someone who also knows the value of all the mods that you've put on your car (and maybe planned on buying those mods for their future car anyway) but you still won't get all or maybe even half your money back because it's all second hand now. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  17. Aahh yes, coo-king. I can do a bit of this, how you say cooking. As long as there's pictures on the side of the packaging. You'd be amazed at how versatile a packet of home brand 2 minute noodles can be! But seriously I'm not as bad as this, my girlfriend wouldn't put up with me if I was! I have a habit of saying "when I have earnt X ammount of money on top of my savings, then I will spend some that ammount on what I wish" (whether that be things like mods, clothes, games etc.) I'm not a Starvin' Marvin'! But back to the original topic, who here doesn't get a thrill just seeing how much better/faster their car performs with each new mod. Isn't that enjoyment worth the price of admission alone? (as long as what you've added is an improvement and hasn't cost you a kidney/house/your soul) "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  18. I think I'll go and see it on 'cheap ass Tuesday' unless I hear good reviews about it (from ACTUAL Doom fans and not 2 old gits on the TV). Or maybe I'll just take a hip flask of Jimmy in with me and if things turn sour, at least I'll be happy! And as for the Rock staring in it, I reckon he could be alright as the Doom guy as long as he's not too much of a tool. I don't mind if he has the occaisonal 'dry cool action quip' ala Arnie, but not too many as Doom isn't a comedy. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  19. I'd get the R33 GTST just based on the fact that I couldn't live with the attention and cost of having a R32 GTR as my daily driver. Performance wise there is no competition, GTR all the way. But I'd be too scared to park the GTR anywhere, and it would be more expensive to maintain than the GTST. I love the front and side profile of the R32's, but not the rear. The R33 series was responsible for my love of Skylines. I'd still rather have an R34 GTT though, but while I'm dreaming I'd like the R34 GTR more (hey if I could afford the R34 GTR, I could afford to have a second car for my daily driver!) "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  20. Hey has anyone else seen the previews for the DOOM moofie? It's supposed to be released at cinemas on October 27th. It doesn't look too bad (in a very cheesy kind of way).... and it stars the Rock. In the previews it shows (someone) holding a gun and the camera is over their shoulder, just like in a FPS. Let's hope their missions don't involve having to kill all the monsters in an area to find a red key! Gold or crud? Let's hope it's not another Mortal Kombat 2.... <_< "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  21. I'd be nice if the actual finished product came with massive wheels and guards like that. And at least it's got 4 round tail lights. I'm not too keen on the front though. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  22. Food is over rated. Who needs to eat anyways? (jk) But seriously I'm not that bad, my diet consists of some food as well as air. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  23. Speedworks are located in Osborne Park. My car is an auto, with: Emanage Blue + injector harness, FMIC, AVCR, 3" SS exhaust from turbo back with dump pipe and high flow cat, HKS pod with heat shield, Nismo FPR and a Walbro 255L/h fuel pump. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  24. This is a question that always comes into my mind when purchasing new bits and pieces, especially the resale value. I've kept all my stock pieces though so I plan to fit them all back when I sell my car and take with me what I can to my next ride! Is it a hobby or an addiction when you find yourself spending less on 'normal things' (like clothes, CD's.....food) and instead trying to save up for more mods? I'm not overspending my budget or in debt though. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
  25. I'd be very sus about the Km's done as well; I brought the exact same car in 2002 with 82 000 on the clock which I thought was pretty spot on if you factor in about 10 000Km's done per year. If it's in excellent condition though it doesn't really matter too much what it says on the clock in my opinion. "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
