  1. Note to self: do not waste money on a new cam gear if stock turbo is still in place. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  2. If you are getting a set of s15 injectors, make sure they are off a turbo manual JDM s15. They should have a brown/redish top. I've also heard late series RX7 injectors are a good fit. Any truth to this? "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  3. I've seen a setup like that in a car before, very trippy. Don't know of any advantages/disadvantages of a setup like that though. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  4. Wouldn't you like it to stop working? To keep the Km's down? "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  5. My brother definetely has a problem with traction! He's got 18x9.5's on the rear with Toyo TPG's and spins the rears just trying to change gears! He's also got an Exedy triple plate clutch which is an absolute pain for the street (previous owner installed it for drags) which also makes for interesting driving! "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  6. Top Secret put an RB26DETT into a Supra a while back, neato! "They taste like burning!"
  7. Yeah I've read about this too, sounds interesting. It could make a good moofie if it's done right and stays true to the games, unlike other game to moofie translations that I've been unfortunate to see. Cough cough, Mortal Kombat 2, cough cough. "HEEELLP! I'm getting swimmer's ear!" - Millhouse while drowning.
  8. No, a Power FC. I should also note that the dyno he had it tuned on was a hub type, the sort you connect to the rear wheels. Don't know how much of a difference this will make. "They taste like burning!"
  9. The dump isn't stock; it's a 3 inch dump. But he was told that a 3" dump was too large for the stock turbos on a Supra as the wastegate can't control the boost properly (needs the back pressure). So he's had a restricter put into the dump until he gets a new one. "They taste like burning!"
  10. My brother has a '95 Supra RZ with those mods, plus a Trust pod filter, Bosch 044, AVCR and a Malpassi fuel pressure regulator and is making 272rwkw at 14psi. He could be making a little bit more, but needs a new dump pipe. "They taste like burning!"
  11. I'll bet for the prices that I was quoted for a timing belt change ($430 to $800) they would've taken a lot longer than 2.5hrs. I'm guessing that it's something you do often/have done a few of Bleach1? 2.5hrs is awesome for such a job! I've found that on my Skyline anyways that the reason jobs like this take so long is because nuts/bolts/clips are so hard to undo or are in the most awkward place to get to! "Games don't affect people. If Pacman affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms munching on pills and listening to repetitive music."
  12. The R33 that Autosalon magazine tested the Plazmaman plenum upgrade on was internally stock BUT they were also upgrading the intercooler, BOV and pod filter at the same time. So all their power and torque increases in the test would've come from these? It was the same kit as the one tested in Autostyle that bilbo117 mentioned above. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  13. I'm still running my AVCR at safe levels until I can find some time this weekend to give my car 'a few herbs' (i.e. a thrash) and set it up correctly. I can't think of why you are only getting a max of 9psi out of it though, but maybe you should get a tuner's opinion first before deciding to sell it. My brother installed an AVCR in his '95 Supra last month and his unit is holding 14psi easily. Maybe the unit has 'self learnt' something and isn't recognising some of your changes? Was the unit brand new or second hand? Cause if it was second hand the previous owner's settings might still be in effect and you should reset the unit before installing it. To re-set the unit go into the 'etc' menu and say 'initialise all'. Hope this helps! "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  14. I emailed the Australian distributer for the Datalogit about 2 weeks ago and got no response either. It says on the company site for the Datalogit that they aren't processing anymore orders as they are making some new changes to the unit but this was between Aug 10 - Sep 10th wasn't it? Maybe they still aren't ready, or have such a huge demand that they are trying to sort everyone else out first? "They taste like burning!"
  15. Yeah I'm going to Speedworks to get my Emanage Blue tuned, they've looked after my brother in the past and were really knowledgeable. I bet with the Emanage Ultimate they'll release firmware patches over time to fix any bugs, just like Emanage Blue. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  16. Final Fantasy 7 definetely, played it through more times than any of the other FF's. FF8 and 9 were still good as well. Silent Hill was awesome, I actually enjoyed it more than the Resident Evil series. I thought Ape Escape was really fun too! Some really funny moments watching the monkeys go about their business (monkeys doing tai chi!) Street Fighter Alpha 3, especially the mode that lets you level up your characters and assign special abilities to them. Soul Reaver: Excellent story and voice talent, awesome graphics! Still a huuuge fan of this series. Wipeout 2097 and Wip3out: awesome, twitch induced game play and pumping soundtracks! What about the worst PSone games? I'm still having night terrors from playing Simpsons Wrestling! That game was made from the bones of still born babies! Pure evil! "Games don't affect people. If Pacman affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms munching on pills and listening to repetitive music." (Well Simpsons Wrestling affected me!)
  17. Yeah I think if you took it in to a mechanic, they would try to remove the radiator first and waste a whole lot of time. It took me about 4 hours without removing the radiator. Just gotta remember to mark the position of the gears in relation to the belt before you remove it, and then put everything back exactly as you found it. "Games don't affect people. 19. I've actually got this problem too. Only started to notice it after I'd taken my car in to get tuned, so naturally I thought they must have done something wrong. Thanks for the solution guys! (He he, shoes catching on fire, not good!) "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  20. I have an english manual also, but it doesn't really tell you anything at all! I've just set mine up, got it set to 0.70Kg/cm2 and at 30% duty (taking it very easy for now just to make sure I've installed everything right!). The website that I looked at for my settings was http://www.turbosaturns.net/articles/AVC-R.htm. The table they have in there states that you should set your boost to 0.95Kg/cm2 (on the screen where you set up your boost duty) to get 14 psi. I don't know much about the rpm settings yet though. Just remember to make small changes at a time when altering the boost duty! "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  21. I have one of those HKS pods with a custom heat shield, very noisy when turbo is spooling up. But I think the best pod to get is one of those Apexi filters. They were shown to have the best filtration ability and provided equal (maybe a little better) power increase over the other filters tested (HKS, Blitz, K&N). There was a post on here a while ago which gave the link for this test. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  22. I was told that the Datalogit made tuning a Power FC a lot easier than trying to use the hand controller, and that you could do more with the Power FC and access more featues. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  23. I have an Emanage Blue installed in my car, put it in about 2 weeks ago. Hasn't been tuned yet but the car is running fine. Should be getting the tune done sometime within the next month. Piece of advice though if you are considering an Emanage; make sure it is updated with the latest firmware before you get it tuned! Still haven't installed the Emanage Ultimate yet Noxious? Was looking forward to your experiences with it. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  24. Have you tried to raise your duty cycle? According to what I've read, if the actual boost is lower than the desired boost, you should raise your duty cycle in small increments (like 1% at a time) until you get the desired result. By the way, what did you set the boost at in Kg/cm2? If you want 14psi, this will equal 13.530Kg/cm2, so you need to set your boost on the AVCR to 0.95. I'm just about to install an AVCR in my R33 GTST so I'll see how I go with it. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
  25. I had that stutter thing as well when I put my timing belt in also, while driving and also while sitting at the lights. So I had to take everything apart again and re-fitted the belt and now it works fine. Could be that the belt is just one tooth out of place. Don't know about your tacho though. "Mmmm, unexplained bacon."
