I'm really enjoying Okami at the moment, and I've almost finished Twilight Princess a second time. Anyone else played Excite Truck yet? It's pretty sweet!

So...many...guages.... O_o

Now playing Sega Mega Drive Collection on PS2, there's some gold on this disc (if you are a Sega fan). Here's a list of what to expect: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Mega_Drive_Collection Unfortunately I have the European version so no Shadow Dancer!

Very niiiiiiice!

Wario Ware Smooth Moves and Legend of Zelda: TP on the Wii Forza Motorsport on the Xbox (yes I haven't finished it yet!) Soon to be playing FFXII and Okami on PS2.

I see one of these on the way to work every day on Alexander drive. There's a bend leading up to a set of lights (as you are heading in the direction of where it becomes Fitzgerald St) and on this bend is a small stone wall which is where the painting is. Also on Alexander drive there used to be one painted on a tree that was on the median strip but someone removed it. I've also seen the one on the Kwinana Freeway.

I've read that Downhill Jam will be coming to PS2 as well during the April - June 2007 quarter in the US. I really liked THPS 2 and 3 but haven't played any since then. I've seen my brother play American Wasteland and some of the moves that you can do look crazy!

Yeah! Awesome to the max!

My brother has a cf bonnet on his Supra (TRD style) that has vents over where his pod sits and it comes with plastic inserts that you can stick in to block the vents off if it rains. You just need to remember to put them in! (he forgot once, bad move!)

Awesome, awesome to the max! -
I remember getting a PS2 when it launched and there being zero good games on it for ages as well, lucky I had a good library of PSOne games to keep me sane. Tekken Tag and DOA2 got so much play time! And I know what you mean about lazily playing the Wii on the couch; when playing Wii Sports my brother will do all that he can to not get off the couch, even going so far as to making movents with the controller that don't even correspond to what you are trying to do in the game. So for golf where you need to swing the controller upwards, he'll try and move it side to side to achieve the same effect. When bowling he'll aim the shot and his character on a crazy angle when he means to aim straight to account for his laziness. He's almost got it down pat! But I find that with Wii Sports if you play it 'properly' you still do better. With Zelda it's all 'lazy couch moving' though. Red Steel I have to sit up and play correctly or I get mangled fast. Zelda kept me entertained for 90 hours before I completed it, but that was finishing everything off properly and stopping to smell the roses occasionally. I think that's pretty good for this type of game.

Yeah there have been lots of stories of people with dud 360's (my brother was one of them, it's fixed now) but there are a lot more people out there that have machines with no problems at all. A friend of mine got a 360 for Christmas and hasn't had any issues with it yet. It seems there are always problems with launch machines nowdays, just make sure you get a good warranty with your console! The second version of the 360 seems to address the overheating and noise issues as well as others (includes HDMI port too!).

That's awesome, can breathe a little easier now!

Anyone have any injuries/crazy stories yet? I haven't let the remote fly out of my hand yet (like some fools have) but I have smacked the roof with the remote. I was playing bowling in a room with a low roof. Anyways I wound my arm back to put heaps of powah into my throw and then BAM! The remote was fine but, no damage done. Playing three player tennis with my brothers has also resulted in a few 'accidental' punches as well as smashing things that are within the immediate vicinity.

For FPS I'd recommend Timesplitters: Future Perfect, Timesplitters 2 or Red Faction 2. All these games support 4 players plus bots. Both Timesplitters games let you have 4 players plus 8 bots all at the same time with individual difficulties that you can set plus heaps of different game modes and even a level editor. I'd recommend TS:FP over TS2 as it is more refined and has a better single player campaign that you can play 2 player co-op. Red Faction 2 lets you have a maximum of 6 players in the game (so say 3 human players and 3 bots) and you can customise their stats also. There are heaps of maps to chose from and a decent amount of play modes. The Single player component in Red Faction 2 is much better than both Timesplitters games but I don't think it's co-op. For games with a bit of a story line and similar to Golden Axe, X-Men Legends 1 & 2 are good value smash 'em ups for four people at the same time with heaps of characters to choose from and level up. Similar to this is TMNT: Battle Nexus 2 which is good if you are a fan of the moden day Ninja Turtles. WWF: Smackdown is awesome as well with 4 players on Royal Rumble (I haven't played any other wrestling games since but I'm sure they are just as good) if you are just after a bash with mates.

Where can I purchase one of these 'DVD rewinders'?

I'm using an AVC-R, it's mintox. Haven't had any problems with it, has features that are easy to use if you are a novice as well as more technical features for the experts if you are that way inclined. -
You can get Wii points by purchasing points cards (kind of like iTunes cards) from places like Electronics Boutique and other video game/electronic stores for spending on the Wii Shop Channel. I think you can purchase them from Nintendo directly as well. The Virtual Console should work no problems, but you are limited to downloading only games in your region (eg. we can't download Japanese games ). At the moment there is a way to get around this: just change your country of origin in the Wii config settings to whatever you feel like. But Nintendo will change this eventually.

I got one yesterday, it's really sweet. The Wii Sports game that you get with the machine is OK, bowling and golf are my favourites. Zelda is awesome as well so far but I wish there was an easier way to look around without going into the first person view.

Yeah I've heard that it's pretty big as well. I was a little unsure about how good it would translate to the Wii, but I've seen heaps of videos of people playing it on the internet and they don't seem to struggle at all. Basically you don't have to play it by waving your hands around like a lunatic, small movements will still get you there. At the moment there are stations set up at shopping centres around Oz where you can try it for yourself. I was also thinking about picking up Red Steel but I've heard very mixed reviews about it, and apparently there is a glitch that causes the targeting reticule to move about wildly at random. Might hire it out first.

Glad wrap on the toilet seat after the laxatives in the coffee gag. Hillarity ensues. Find out where he lives and sign him up to one of those free mulch delivery schemes. Sign him up to every junk mail offer that you can find.

I'm getting one as well plus Zelda: Twilight Princess. It's almost here!

I kind of liked the fact that it wasn't as huge as San Andreas, it didn't feel as overwhelming. You don't get the same thrill running from the cops in this as you did in the GTA games as if you hide for a little while your wanted level just drops as opposed to cops not resting until you're dead/you respray your car. I've just finished the game with 90% complete. Thankfully once you've beat it you can keep playing to finish any missions that you've missed.

I've had this game for a while now, about 82% completed and up to chapter 5. I reckon it's an awesome game as well, loving every minute of it.
