I know its a bit of an old tread, but, if you are still interested... I bought some of the black housings off of ebay (US G35 versions). Only thing, I had to make sure they were for 03-04 as the 05-06 had slightly different shape due to hood and front bumper redesign. I got them for the new lenses (mine were yellow and hazy beyond repair) and the black bezels. The new headlights were halogen, so I simply swapped out my HID lights, ballasts, reflectors and wiring to the new housings. It cost me $139 plus time doing the guts swap. I DID pass Japanese inspection and have never been flashed by oncoming traffic.

Did you use the resistor method for blanking off your EGR? I had a Kinetix V+ plenum (that i'm now returning because when I ordered it I was unaware of the EGR valve built into the factory plenum), now I have the Motordyne 5/16" spacer coming and plan on blocking the EGR when installing the spacer. I cleaned the factory plenum (upper and lower) but still need to do the intake runners. How did you go about cleaning the butterfly valves? Scrapping and vacuum, or throttle/brake cleaner? I've also Seafoam'd the crankcase and fuel-system and have noticed significant performance increase but am looking forward to finishing this beast of a project and Seafoaming through vacuum lines to complete upper engine restore.

I'm running a DC Sport short ram intake with rectangular MAF for G35 (VQ35DE) on my 300GT (VQ30DD)...no issues thus far. Had it on for at least 8-9 months now.
