Ok thanks, the spacer is 11/12mm so the 60mm ones should do the job? Im mounting the external gate on the manifold so that should save a bit of weight. Ive welded cast a few times and always makes me nervous! Thanks for your help mate

As the heading says what size studs have people used length and pitch etc to mount a gt30 to a stock manifold?

Yolo I say so at least I can try 2nd time round and when it blows just get a garrett. I dont mind the extra work

A 9sec blue vlt in soom some time ago used a ebay manifold and that was still running fine after 40+ hard passes and 1000s of ks. My old gas turbine project was fine at 25psi and 630deg c. The afrs are good when on power but when it plays up I did see once the afrs shooting between 13 th 16

It was doing it with my stock coil packs, now ive put ls1 coils on and still doing it. .8 for the plugs. No smoke test as yet, only an issue really when cold or occasionally after a flogging. My afr gauge reads fine however I suspect the fuel pump may be a problem

Great informative install SS#eater! My current build is based off this. Just a quick question, is the rear housing .63 or .82? And what is response like? And where did you find the studs? Im not keen on just using long bolts instead

Also to add to my other post about rough, sluggish between gear changes at times, slowly feed the loud pedal its normally ok, but mash it and grab 3rd it runs rough like its dropped a cylinder untill I back right off, let it coast then re apply the throttle

Stock ecu, no boost leak either. Was thinking maybe iac valve? Really got me stuffed as to what it is

Almost feels like an old dodgy carby! Idles rough as shoots fuel out the back and get even rougher if I touch the throttle and stalls. I have driven a few times when cold, if I stop instead of rolling through say a giveway sign, the car will stop and cant be started for a few mins, only then holding the throttle flat (like a carby) will it start again. Other than that any attempts earlier it'll just keep winding over and getting too much fuel. 120psi across all 6 so its getting tired but doesnt use or blow smoke.

Ive seen the vid of a t70 the compressor wheel was no bigger than a t04 just with a big ass housing on it. Its what its labled as anyway so no doubt its a mix match or smaller than a genuine garrett. Getting it balanced and good seals put in if it blows it blows

Gday all im after anyone who has used a gt3037/gt35 ebay spec turbo on a rb25. I know I know everyone is quick to dump crap on them, how ever I built a gas turbine engine from a t70 and ran 25psi no worries at all, so for the short term (which is all im after) there is potential.
