Thanks for all the help. If anyone is interested......... Fuel filter part # 16400 $36.00. Oil filter part # 15208 $18.00.

Thanks but I am looking for original Nissan parts only.
-
Hi all I was wondering if any R34 owners know if the 34 fuel filters are the same as the 33's. I am going to get an original from Nissan but I can't find the correct part number. Thanks
-
I don't know if has changed, but about 2 years ago it was 340mm front and 345mm rear. This is measured from the centre of the wheel to the guard. Best thing to do is call Regency and ask. Craig.

I have been using the Redline engine oil for about 5 years now on my old gtst and now my gtt. I usually change it between 5000 and 7000 kms. On my last change I thought I would take it to 10000 but for some reason my engine warning light came on at about the 9000km mark. I did a diagnostic check and came up with an 02 sensor error. I changed the 02 sensor but this did not fix the problem. I changed the engine oil and the light went away. I have no idea why I would get an 02 sensor error from old engine oil but this is enought for me to keep up the 5 - 7000km change in the future. Also if you are buying it from an auto shop and not a mechanic, it comes by the gallon. This is not enought for the RB's, you will need to buy 2 to begin with and you should get about 4 more oil changes out of the second gallon. Craig.

Bump with new price $30000.

Still for sale. Anyone interested?

and did anyone find out if the GTT has a different 02 sensor? My engine light just came on. Diagnostic check tells me mine is dead. $180 for an original from Nissan is a bit expensive but I want to make sure I have one that works right.

Thanks. That makes sence. Ill keep the K&N then.

I have found out my 02 sensor has just died and I was wondering if it could have been my CAI setup. With my old R33, I had a K&N pannel filter but no CAI. I never needed to replace the 02 sensor in the 4 years and 50000ks I owned the car. Now with the 34, I again used the K&N filter but made my own CAI to the stock box. Within 5000ks I now have the engine light on my car and the error code 33 which is "Heated oxygen sensor signal circuit" My question is, could the extra air flow have caused the oil from the filter to soil my 02 sensor and has anyone else had a problem with 02 sensor when using an oiled filter or pod with CAI? I thought it weird that my 02 sensor could have gone already. Everything else on my car is like new and there is only 42000ks on the clock. Craig

Thanks Daniel. I will give tham a go. Craig

Thanks for that Sumo. I thought that was the case. Next problem is if the Gtt sensor is the same as the Gtst? I searched the 02 sensor thread but could only find part numbers for the Gtst. $180 direct from a Nissan dealer is a bit harsh and the NGK dealer in Adelaide said they have one for the 33 but not the 34. Anyone have any ideas? Craig.

Hi all I noticed my engine warning light on today so I ran the diagnostic mode. The error code that came up was 33 which apparently is "Heated oxygen sensor signal cut" Can someone please tell me what this means and how I can fix it. The car seems to be running fine but I want to be sure. Any help would be appreciated. Craig

How do I Polish up Dished wheels?
Rain replied to Starionturbo's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I have the same wheels and had the same problem with mine. They have a clear coat over the dish so I used a paint stripper. I used a paint brush so I only stripped the clear coat and not the paint on the rest of the mag. Leave it on for a few minutes, then wash it off with a hose. You can then give it a polish and the end result is very good. The only problem with doing this is, without the clear coat, you get water spots that only come out with another polish. I spoke to someone at a paint supplier about this and he said there is a clear coat you can buy that is easy to apply and keeps the shine of the polish. Its about $100 so I havn't used it yet but i eventually will. I can give you the name of the paint stripper I used ( High grade stuff )and the clear coat tomorrow if you want. Craig. -
I had the same prob on my GTt. The only thing that fixed it was Hub locaters. To save money, most wheel makers dont change hub sizes they just change stud patterns on their wheels to fit differant cars. Hub locaters are just plastic inserts you knock in the back of your wheel. This leaves no gap between the wheel and hub. One thing to note though. If you have been driving with that shudder for a while you will probably need to get new tires. The problem stayed with me untill I got new rubber as well as the hub locaters. I think the shudder sends the tire out of shape. This may not be your problem but it worked for me. Craig

That depends on if you mean the GTR or GTT. I have a GTT and just installed a set of Bilstein shocks. The parts numbers supplied to me were from a 33 GTST for the front and 33 GTR for the rear. (The rears changed to the GTR setup on the 34 GTT.) I think the GTR suspension did not change from 33 to 34 but not 100% sure.

Can we have an R34 section?
Rain replied to 666DAN's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Just an idea There is a section for General, R33 and R32 in the "list of members tutorials" Couldn't one be started for the R34's. Obviously we couldnt use it for questions, but when a question/problem is resolved couldn't the outcome be moved there. Also things like ECU pinouts and other important info could be posted there. At least this way we have somewere we could use without having to start a new section in the forum. -
I had this problem but even a ballance did not fix it. I thought it may be a buckled wheel but I found out most mags are not made to be vehicle spacific and hub sizes will vary from car to car. You could try Hub locaters. These are small plastic rings that sit in your wheels and this leaves no gap between the wheel and hub. It worked for me but because I had driven with the shudder for a while the tyres needed changing because they were worn unevenly. With new tyres and the hub locaters I dont have the problem anymore. Hope this helps.

Apexi t-max shocks for R33/34 GTR or R34 GTT
Rain replied to Chef_32's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Are you 100% sure these will fit on a GTT? I would have thought the GTR's have a different set up
