  1. Welcome! Nice cars, I was only just in Tokyo!! Would've loved to go for a spin! oh well maybe next time, is the GTR a daily or weekender?
  2. This S plates seems stupid and doesn't really fix a problem, just allows for targeted discrimination. Unfortunately GP's make too much money from old ppl to report their inability to drive safely to the authorities, so a blanket age retest would be the only way to capture that, but I know some 80 year olds that are more capable than some 50 year olds. They should be training kids younger and at school, what happens when a shit driver trains their child? more shit drivers. the NSW L & P plate system with speed restriction is stupid and dangerous.
  3. Tell them before the roster is made that you can't work
  4. looks like someone with an Red 34GT(T?) has moved into my building, eastern 'burbs, South Australian plates?
  5. In a fully autonomous situation, then the pedestrians were doing the wrong thing and should both die... slightly off topic but pedestrians need to understand that 100kg v 1500kg is a rigged fight. back on topic, this could never be a reality without heavy subsidy due to socio-economics The Tokyo Motor Show theme this year is Smart Mobility, and most of the concept cars were self-driving. 1) Yes and drink and party or sleep, 2) Manufacturer for sure 3) I'm no parent, but maybe if they had missile defence systems to avoid hijacking 4) Absolutely - so would see a rise in rego? or drop in road maintenance/advancements 5) Probably redundancy 6) Would definately require rigorous maintenance, ie. high cost.
  6. In please Chris! Such a great drive and breaky! Especially nice and early, just need to watch out for lycra-bandits
  7. Factory WTAC-spec Aero! Does look very nice though!
  8. And despite that magical thread ppl still askin'... http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/460663-melbourne-bodykit-paint-and-fit/
  9. Good in Theory, although when I check the Vic example it's just a list of workshops that can be gained from google or white pages... no reviews, who knows if it's kept up to date with names, phone numbers, reputability, etc (wait let me check... second link (CREATD) doesn't work... ) And naturally there are as many ppl who have had good dealings with any particular workshop as there are who have had bad dealings not to mention, so it would just cause a rift in the community. Then there's the mountain of work for someone to pull together all that info that is already freely available and maintained.
  10. Then there's that white #39 who had no control at all!
  11. $45k is a lot to spend to get ppl to look at you... I like that yellow GTR '10 4' posted, looks mint, would own, wouldn't care about selling. There's two sides to supply and demand, if a buyer wants yellow and your's is the only one then maybe they'll buy it. if a buyer wants blue, maybe there's a few for sale, he'll buy the nicest one or the cheapest one. it's not a commodity and very very subjective.
  12. I propose a handicaping system for us noobs.. ie. NIck and Chubs have to do the courses in reverse
  13. Hey, I can't really help you in detail, I'd recommend flat-bedding it to a reputable workshop, but some basic things that come to mind: - You've probably blown many fuses from this, so check them all - Start motor could be seized, may need a hit with a hammer, may need a new one, - fuel is obvious, but pump could be seized or lines could be clogged, injectors could be clogged, (some or all of these can be cleaned or tested?) multi-meter will be your best friend in troubleshooting If you've reset the ecu, chances are once you get it ticking over it still may not even start, or it may run very rough, someone with Vipec experience may be able to confirm this (base map?), either way you'll need a tune pretty quick.
  14. Car passed rego... sooooo looking forward to this!!!
  15. hahaha yeah he scared me I figured going off straight would be better than trying to turn too fast and going off in spirals... pretty sure that boiled my brake fluid too, saw some residue on the tank after that session
  16. I"ll check when I get home, I've still gotta sort my footage might have been closer to the exit of the corner
  17. Great pics Ciaron, thanks!
  18. Check their website there's heaps of detailed info, the main stand out (aside from SAE grade) seems to be this: "Racing 10 is a premium, 100% , PAO & Ester full synthetic SAE 10W-40, SHEAR FREE modern engine oil." I've used hpr 10 without issue on the street. I'm using Nulon 10W-40 full synthetic at the moment (practically stock car), 2 track days on same oil: SMSP South (heavy cornering) & North (high speed & cornering) with no issue.
  19. I may have big wang by next track day brother in law is donating a generic bolt on one he has... now all i need is balls to go with it  I thought I was getting used to powering through turn 1 (lifting off later, no brakes) until Alex overtook me mid corner
  20. To buy lists: Bucket seat, more track days
  21. Definitely lots of space! Checking into membership details so i'll let you know.
  22. I think he's saying the height difference between the gtr and gtst seats are in the seat not the rail. I.e. gtst seats have height adjustment which adds 80mm
  23. The softest of spots! Just Paid
