I was thinking of just a general clean up/ polish of most of the visible parts of the engine bay, including the actual engine bay chassis (there's shit caked on everywhere on the white paint). Although i would definitely be interested in taking the engine out and doing a respray of the whole thing/ polish some of the parts, it just seems too unrealistic and possibly expensive

Awesome, thats really good to know gtr jet. I'd definitely be interested in upgrading to a bigger turbo but will that make the car easily defectable? I haven't had a car like this before so I don't really know the deal with cops and how they bait cars like this. Haha yeah geeteetee it does, is that a good or a bad thing? I have been down to bob jane tmart and also spoken to a few others and they have highly recommended getting 18 inch wheels for track work though, which I will most likely eventually do. In saying that I've just bought Pirelli front and rears for it. I am based in Melbourne south eastern suburbs area, yeah I am definitely wanting to get it looked at by a turbo specialist or someone who knows a lot about them. My budget would probably be around 10 grand or something. I want good parts on the car. It will be a track car to start with, just for laps on track days. Maybe drifting at some point. Also I forgot to mention it will be used as a weekend car, so I will probably have some fun with mates and drag them. No worries I'll get it serviced asap and all the basic stuff fixed. I recently bought a '98 34 GTT for $10,500. I am completely new to turbo cars, and skylines. Just after some advice on what to look out for in terms of.. well everything lol. And also what parts you recommend I can buy to increase performance without doing any major engine mods. The car has 120,000 kms. Here's a list of add ons/modifications. -Body kit -4 inch stainless steel exhaust -Kaaz 2 way diff -Cusco 52mm radiator -Front mount under/over intercooler -Bigger fuel pump -Recaro's -FET timer -Blitz pod filter -20 inch rims -Boost control -Cusco hicas lick off bar -Adjustable rear camber arms -Remote start/immobiliser -Nismo strut brace -Xenon headlights The owner (a work friend) hasn't taken the best care of it, it's definitely in need of a service, new hosing kits, oils etc. The engine bay is pretty filthy. It drives very smoothly and I haven't noticed any rough idling or whining turbo sounds. My dads friend is the original owner of an R32 GTR and he came round and inspected/drove it and it seemed that he thought it was pretty good. I will post a picture
