  1. Haha, first lap in my GTR I drove it like my old rex. chucked it in the corners then mashed it. lots of smoke, sideways and s-l-o-w. at first I thought what a heap of shit, but when I backed off because of fuel supply issues my lap time dropped 2sec! got me thinking... As for opposite lock, I dont know if i'm ever gonna master the jerky reaction impulse. Just cant seem to find the faith in an automated system. that pisses me off.

  3. Hey, if anyone could lend me a PowerFC commander for a day or two I would love to hear from you. I believe any model will work in my 32'R except the 34GTT ones. I can try it out on the spot first to see if it works, and I'm sure I can arrange a suitable reward for such a generous person.
  4. mine starts going up after 30sec. I usually pop the bonnet when I get home and after very light driving its a furnace in there...
  5.  I'm going mad waiting for the final tune Stevo.. Make sure youve got me locked in next Sat :looney:
  6. Yeah, I dont think locknuts would be much of an obstacle to a workshop. I think they just take em off as if they werent even there. Dont think its too hard for wheel thiefs either...
  7. As far as I know most upgraded twins dont make full boost till 3000rpm or higher. My single GT35R made full boost at 4000rpm. Good for up to 500rwhp, cheaper, simpler and lighter. I like having two power modes: the one without boost to drive around local streets in stealth mode, and a nice wide top half for other occasions. At least the RB26 has enough torque off boost to get around at a respectable pace. Huge huffers that dont happen till 6000+ would be just plain annoying though.
  8. I just used a thin strip of stainless steel, cut it with a hacksaw and bent it over the corner of the wall then drilled a couple of holes. you will need to find the appropriate screws to use in the existing holes as the allen key ones are too long. I reckon it looks nice and is very strong. Also, stainless is a better insulator than aluminium etc.
  9. Use the 30 and sell me the 35R
  10. yes. its ugly.
  11. Wow, thats a good price. was expecting to pay more than that for a new core. Might check out their place in perth. Bet they dont have any cores though...
  12. Was that for complete turbo or just the core?? my 35R is fugged.
  13. can you get 35R's ? Also how long does it take for you to get the turbos?
  14. Thanks for that. Looks pretty severe, worse than mine.
  15. '82 Holden Gemini. Bog Stock. thats with bog. Holden it together.
  16. I was wondering, What chance do you think there would be of a broken ringland smashing the turbo exh wheel? The ringland pieces would be contained by the rings wouldn't they? Especially with very minor bore marks, no head damage, just excessive blowby and loss of compression on that cylinder. Anyone have any experience/expertise in the matter?
  17. Err, did I miss something ? went past yesterday and today, doors locked. Anyone got anything to say...

    apologies

If your sorry then all you have to do is show restraint and not get drawn into a slanging match with anyone.
  19. I think it would result in more power, as when it pings itself to death you would most likely rebuild the engine with stronger internals that could handle more power. then you would feel obliged to make the most of it with the appropriate external mods etc. could take some time though...
  20. Hmmm, strange. I have been playing Prince of Persia : the Sands of Time ......
  21. Yes thats right. My car came with the factory valves blocked and it was SHIT. It fluttered and was laggy. So I had the plumback reinstated and now it works BETTA. I can't believe that you care about some poxy sound resulting from a flawed setup, rather than having you car working properly. Why don't you make a recording of it and just play it on your stereo? Or is it for everyone else to hear.
  22. Yeah, and drag cars would pull more g's doing burnouts than hooking up at launch... You might be going sideways off the track having converted some of your longitudinal velocity into lateral velocity, but without as much traction the opposing force will be less, so less g's.
  23. Not too much glamour associated with rallying. Hard to find good coverage, dirty spectator sport and hard to do/practice. Awesome skill involved though... Oh, and no skyline rally cars. Hope he does really well. You dont get too many opportunities at that level.
  24. Didn't know that. He must've been their second choice after I turned them down...
