  3. Just called nissan spare parts, they are $7.80 each..
  4. Nah man.. they are screw in specific size rubber stops.. id assume they are the same as another nissan and I can just get them from spare parts.. help!
  5. G'day All, Just wondering where I could get replacement rubber bonnet stops for my R33? When my car was repaired about 6 months ago they didnt replace them with new ones and one was torn and has gone missing.. now my bonnet is crooked! See the attached pic if you're not sure what i mean.. Any ideas where I could get replacements? I was thinking nissan but not sure what part id ask for. Anyone with Nissan FAST can look up the part number? Thanks! chicane
  6. oi i was interested but nooo u didnt reply
  7. Hmm I yet to give it a try.. but yeah.. i dont think id trust it on a dyno either lol
  8. Hey there There was something in the R33 Service Manual PDF about making the 4wd into a 2wd by disconnecting some vaccum thing near the fusebox? I cant remember.. I'll see what I can dig up.. edit - here we go - anyone given it a try?
  9. Hey all, Changed the O2 Sensor on my R33 on the weekend. Picked up from BURSON's the NGK/TGK branded sensor for the EL falcon. Retail price on that is $83.. So on the weekend I put the car up on the ramps, thinking I should have this done in about 30 min. I get underneath to locate the sensor, found it no problems. Managed to get a spanner onto the 02 sensor and loosen it, however how are you supposted to unplug it? I had to undo the bracket that it was attached to (maybe acting like a heat shield for the plug as well?) to get it off. I mangled it by bending it trying to figure out if I could just unplug it, but found out I couldnt. Finding out my o2 sensor has 3 wires, a Red, White, and Black - SAU to the rescue to note that the White is the sensor wire, and the red and black are the heater circuit wires (Note: EL Sensor has 2 White and one Black wire). A multimeter circuit test verified this. Heat up the soldering iron, get out the wire stripper, heat shrink and im ready to join the wires. However, what the hell? The wires on the original o2 sensor plug, whats the deal here? The solder wont stick, and when I try to twist the strands together, they dont twist! They spring out! Seems some white dust comes off the wire as well. Strange wire, I don't think it is copper - anyone know what it is? Come to the conclusion to join them, crimps are required. Fumble around trying to find 3 male and 3 female crimps. This was a pain in the butt - I put some heat shrink over the entire join to try and protect it and the heat from shirinking it (i suspect) one wire comes out of the joint. DAMN! this reminds me why I hate crimps and prefer to do solder joins! At least an hour and a half has passed by this stage.. Fumbling around in the dark and the cold I get the sensor back on, take her off the ramps, reset the ECU (disconnect battery) and hope it all works. I have just done 100KM, and the needle is at the 3/4 mark. I think this is where it was before, however I will fill up in the next few days and report back if I have solved my fuel guzzling issues or if it was a waste of time (and effort) Cheers chicane :burnout: :burnout:
  10. i agree with Merli's suggestions.. !
  11. I rekon you are right Mud - Just changing over my o2 sensor now.. measured with a multimeter and there is a circuit between the white and white on the Ford one, and Red and black on the Nissan one. Lets see how it goes
  12. - Car - S1 GTS4 (NA) - BP Ultimate - Cat back exhaust + Pod Filter - Yes - Have reset stock ecu - 65000 KM when I got it, 80,000 KM now - No boost guage! - Cant remember idle speed exactly, but normal - Currently getting about 20L/100KM :S.. Was going to replace O2 Sensor on weekend, but will do next weekend Cheers chicane
  13. Hey dude I did exactly the same thing about 6mths ago - Get yourself an aerpro replacement mast from autobarn/repco/something like that i think i paid $22! I'll see if I can get the exact model for ya - U can always just turn your radio on and let it wind out and pull it all out so it doesnt hang out! MODEL: AP12 http://www.aerpro.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?...12&make=&model= ;)/http://www.aerpro.com/cgi-bin/produ...ke=&model= cheers! chicane
  14. Yep.. I hear that sound.. rubber looks all fine around it etc.. I think ill give the o2 sensor a change - gonna go down to ford soon to get the part! Cheers chicane
  15. I work in Parkville so yeah anywhere close to the city What other options are there apart from magnaflow (seems a popular brand) for a muffler in the cannon style that will not be too loud, im sick of the drone of my current muffler.. but not too quiet as well (but under limit). Cheers
  16. My skyline is S1 R33.. Currently gettting shocking fuel economy like scotty090.. Im thinking about changing the O2 Sensor on the weekend, fitting the ford item and see if that helps.. I currently have an AFM from a S2 R33, in my other thread [1] im wondering what is actually different between them, and maybe if that is causing any problems (My fuel economy has been pretty bad.. but I think it has gotten worse in the recent months. cheers chicane [1] http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=46719
  17. Anyone recommend an exhaust shop in the Melbourne city area that fits magnaflow mufflers and will do it for a good price? When I got the current exhaust/muffler fitted I asked them to put a flange so it can be unbolted, and its 2" up to just before it bends. thanks! chicane
  18. Thanks for the tip RiggaP - How can I tell if it is leaking, and where do I get a new one? Cap seems to do up tight.. Cheers chicane
  19. hey there, Well the AFM is off a S2.. but ive got a S1 R33.. What differences do they have?
  20. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone knows of any differences between NA R33 Skyline and a Turbo R33 Skyline air flow meter? The AFM I have on my car at the moment I am borrowing from a friend who had it on his S2 R33 GTST.. Cheers chicane
  21. I think I'm going to finally get rid of the Genie Reverse Flow muffler off my car, its just tooo loud! Currently I have 2.5" Cat Back, with a resonator. Anyone who has done their exhaust cat-back, what muffler and how much was it? An angled canon style would b good, but not really necessary.
  22. Hmm last fill i got 20L/100KM.. im going to change the o2 sensor on the weekend and see how it goes.. :S
  23. Hi All, I have a S1 R33 GTS4 (RB25DE) and mostly my driving is to and from work (bout 10k each way, in the city) in bad traffic (stop start, etc..) and quite a few small trips to the shops etc.. I also drove to my parents (25K each way on freeway @100KM/H) and back on the weekend.. I do give it a fair bit of stick ehre and there (rev it out, etc) I went to fill up yesterday after work.. and I put in 42L.. and all I got was 210KM. Something is wrong but I don't know what.. 20L/100KM is SHOCKING.. this is a NON TURBO skyline as well...! I think I'll run an ECU diag tonight (I think the method was in the R33 Workshop Manual PDF?) and see what happens. Is the 02 sensor included in that? Regards, chicane
  24. Anyone got a stock exhaust system (cat back) off an NA R33 they wanna palm off?
