R32/Ta22

hi guys. there is a few issues with my r32 gtst. rb20det first is today I went to go for a drive and it took a while to start and didn't want to idle right. couldn't get it over 2500 rpm without coughing and spluttering and the light cat/exhaust looking warning light was flashing? so I did a u turn and drove home. then I went to start it again to put it in the garage to have a look at it and it was totally fine... weird. second could maybe be a cause of the issue. when I bought the car it came with a z32 air flow meter which has been put after the turbo when I believe its meant to be before the turbo. there hasn't been a problem with it in that spot but I don't know if it is causing lag problems or the reason for it to be placed there. my guess is it makes for a louder dose but I don't know. also my intercooler piping travels under the intercooler then in then out the other side. I was wondering if I get an intercooler with the intake and out take on the same side I wont need the extra piping that goes under and around into the intercooler. the car is very laggy it gets onto boost at 4500rpm. im only just new to skylines/imports so any expert help would go down a treat.

hi guys, i took my r32 gtst on the track for a bit of fun with some mates. we were just having a grib race but after they started drifting. i joined in to see what my car can do but it was all over the place. the only drive train mods the car has is height adjustable coilovers all round and big front brakes. it still has hicas which i plan to install lock out bar because i have heard hicas is death when drifting. i was just wondering what people use from steering knuckles, front wheel camber degrees. also with the lockout bar i heard i need to use a r33 power steering pump or something like that. i am not trying to make a crazy drift car, i just want some that can hold a drift while still been easy to drive on the street. on another note, the steering is very heavy which was one of the factors in my epic spin outs, could that be caused by the power steering pump is faulty?

i need some help figuring out what each wire does on the fuel tank lid. my fuel gauge stopped working when my fuel line burst and fuel went all over the wires. i think dirty connections are causing the gauge not to work. does anybody have a wire diagram of the fuel tank or can tell me what wire does what. i have add a photo of a cover i found on google images so you know what i am talking about.

hi guys. im thinking of replacing an old aftermarket dvd player /sterio /head unit that doesnt work. i was thinking of replacing the speakers if they dont work and all speaker wire because i dont know if its all connected.instead of mucking around looking to see if it works i was thinking of just buying it all. i have seen i think big thinck amp or sub wire that has been cut when the last owner might have had a sub in there. it has an old original looking amp thing in the boot still, is it worth getting a new one. i would like to know what i need to purchase to redo the whole thing but only the basics. i dont have to much money to spend lots on it.

will i need to get a new ecu for it?

what should i be looking for to see if its a stock turbo? would anyone recommend an rb25 turbo. is it a bolt on upgrade and what mods would i have to do to support a new turbo. if it is already an upgraded turbo, how can i get it to spool quicker and come on boost better. im trying to get the car ready for powercruise. also do i need to change the exhaust for a rb25 turbo because i have a screamer pipe i would like to keep. i will try to get a photo tomorrow to see what everybody thinks it is. the skyline is my first fast import so only new to this

i got under it today and tried to see if anything had play in it but couldnt see anything. exhaust pipe doesnt hit anything. i will have to put it on a hoist to have a real good look under it

hi i really want my rb20det to go harder. it comes onto boost at around 4500. i would like it to be quicker. it is semi stock, running a different coil pack, i think new injectors and maybe a different pump. i was told to get a boost controller to boost it up. its running 12psi at the moment, what would you recommend running on a stock turbo. just out of interest what would be a cheap bolt on turbo upgrade that i wont need to muck around with. im on a 1st year apprentice budget so it isn't much.

so a while back i was driving my r32 when the fuel line on the tank perished and fuel poored out at pump pressure. the guage was working but after a road side fix the guage was no longer working. does anybody know what could of happened. all i can think off is fuel went over the connections and is getting a bad connection. would be real helpful if someone has a wiring diagram.

hi I have a knocking sound coming from somewhere around the diff area. it only really knocks on bumpy roads so im guessing it has something to do with the rear suspension. a mate told me a bushing in the rear sway bar or something. i cant feel anything when driving. any help would be awesome.
