  1. ^What do you pay for rego/insurance
  2. ^Well, Jeff would no doubt have the best knowledge on the subject - post up before and after dyno plots if can Krishy, would love to see the before and afters - along with your list of mods etc
  3. Although you CAN use the R32 ECU, why would you skimp on ~$200 to remove extra driveability? I just don't see the point in doing it half assed.. you say you wont notice the loss of mid-range, but why lose it at all?
  4. ^ But then you loose the variable valve timing which will drop your mid-range power from where it could be. Horses for courses - do you want drivability or outright bragging rights for highest power?
  5. So are you doing the piping yourself? are you welding or just using silicone joiners?
  6. Jeff from The Speed Lab can tune an R33 ECU - but it just requires a modification to the ECU. From what I understand the R33 ECU requires some components to be changed (adding of a daughterboard I believe) therefore will add a couple of hundred on top of the normal tune cost... so if it's $600 for an R32 tune, expect about $800 or so for the R33 tune
  7. I wasn't on South Tce - I came in via Goodwood Rd, Greenhill Rd (heading east) then down Pultney St. So if the car was ON South Tce, wasn't me
  8. Certainly a big range of ages here from: to
  9. Spotted this the other week - looked very neat! Nice rear camber too
  10. Dont do it Cara - no wing gives it a lower looking stance. Keep it as is, nice and clean
  11. Cheers for the heads up, but we already bought a capsule - but not the old ugly safe n sound one, but the new Unity Capsule: Link far more compact than the original clunker but same protection and convenience of removable basket. When we look for seats around the 3-4 month mark will probably have a look at the Compaq Delux though, looks good
  12. ^Due in approximately 8 weeks BUT we will be putting bubs in a Capsule first, and that will be fixed into the SP23 while brooke is off work. When bubs is big enough for car seats, it will be 1 in the SP, and 1 in the Legnum
  13. Brenden, when you looking to do this? I should be free June 14/15 if you want a hand then. If beforehand, someone else should be able to help you. I have the R33 workshop manual still too, so should make working things out rather easy
  14. Honestly, don't know for certain yet.. first week was only putting in $20 & $30 here an there. Filled up the tank last Friday, and will see how I go on Monday when I re-fill... hoping it will come out about 12.0-12.5L/100. At the moment its just over 1/2 tank (~25L) for just over 200kms but you can never tell on the gauge, need to fill it up That's in peak hour driving, 27km each way. This is what I used to get in the skyline while behaving myself so expecting the same.
  15. PM's Sent
  16. Yeh, the front middle is the Tow Hook Cover. Seems that even if they leave japan with them, they often go missing in shipping (as it only clips in). Aparently can get them new in Oz for around $70 IF the mitsubishi parts dealer wants to order it for you from Japan or NZ. Just got to get around to ordering one.
  17. ^Kris - you want a CD or a link? if CD, you mean you want 2 CD's or 1 as well?
  18. Spotted SKY-095 on Pultney Street again this morning - I was in the legnum so probably didnt recognise me
  19. Nick: It's been registered now for 2 weeks today. Overall, LOVE the car! I still haven't had a chance to give it a good run (only driven to work and back) BUT I love the 5sp auto - so much nicer to drive to work than the R33 LOL. This morning I had a cop driving next to me for about 10 minutes, he was looking at the car with a very confused look on his face, pretty sure he was trying to work out what it was hehe. Here's some happy snaps I took in the car park at work:
  20. Did you want to d/l it? I can PM you a link if you want. Otherwise could possibly burn a copy of the .iso file over the weekend and you can pick it up from me in the city monday if you want..
  21. Doesn't get any cheaper, and a LOT easier than a hacksaw Realistically, look for 2nd hand springs, should be able to pick up a set for $100-$150 and fit them yourself. Note that your shocks are probably shagged by now though, so to do it properly will require new shocks at a cost of around $600 for new items... this will still be your cheapest way out as the cheapest nastiest coilovers will be at least $1k new.
  22. ^You just did 2 things: 1 - made me dizzy 2 - wasted 2MB of my limited download
  23. ^SLY-dn your technically correct, you shouldnt put a car on the boat till you have the VIA. This is actually handled by the compliance workshop (as they have to apply for it) and although I didnt wait (as there was 0 reason a legnum shouldnt be allowed in) DOTARS took almost 4 weeks to process the application as opposed to the normal 10 working days. So thats why I incurred the storage fees annoyed shit outa me but in the end I got my car
  24. Your right, I didnt include GST in my posts as Krishy asked only about shipping cost, not how much the total importing for the car. But yes my total customs Broker Fee ended up being ~$3,600 broken down like this: Shipping $1090 Warfage $620 Quarantine $100 Broker Fee $150 Inland Transport $100 Storage $480 GST $1100 Total Shipping & Taxes $3,690 So the total for the car was the FOB price in Japan, The above cost, then compliance and tyres
  25. Cruzin, that sucks! the XF looked very clean Glad to hear you have the all clear, but the tow fee's gotta hurt too.
