  1. Fair enough - I wasn't at the dyno day due to family comitments - and cruising, well... just dont have an excuse for that
  2. Fishy, your alive! where ya been You and Paully dissapeared at the same time...... lose your license too?
  3. Sorry to hear this I had a German Shepherd from when I was 12 and she died a few years ago aged 12 years also. Broke my heart when she passed, and in similar cirumstances. Came home one day to find her staggering around the back yard all dazed, took her to the vet she had had a stroke. Within 2 weeks a large tumor grew on her snout, and we had her put down The companionship a dog gives is unconditional - makes it even more sad to hear of the loss RIP Kennedy
  4. I was wondering what you meant by red/clear - The indicator sections are clear. Look pretty good. Found any springs yet? If your not aware of it, have a look at www.fordforums.com.au - Good resource for all things ford. Alternatively, you should be able to get a set of springs from any ford wreckers pretty easily, tried Athol Park Ford Wreckers?
  5. Sorry to say but you asked for that. Accellerating while someone is next to you is just stupid, no matter how nice or crap their car is. The fact he had to swerve back in to avoid a head on collision is just stupid on your behalf, what were you trying to prove? Of course going to enrage someone doing that! I hope you learned your lesson not to put yourself and others in a dangerous situation like that even if they are being idiots, last thing we need is another news story saying "skyline was racing a commodore when the commodore driver was forced to collide head on with oncoming traffic" /rant
  6. Today I had my first decent flex in the hills on my Toyo T1R's on the SP23. Well, they are definately better than the Potenza 040's on from factory. Grip is definately better, and its nice and progressive, you can feel when they are beginning to let go, giving you time to adjust speed/angle to get the grip back. Basically, Fantastic tyre and would recommend them to anyone.
  7. Still for sale
  8. I didnt even think to read on here for the SAU meetups before I left home today, oops! BUT I was there 12:00-1:00 and signed the petitition. I heard the initial speaches from Mike&Mike (MCs for the event) Mayor of Port Adelaide, ANDRA chief, CAMS representative, Anna (main organiser) and Roco (major supporter) and they all had excellent things to say. State Government Rep for Port Adelaide has been pro-active in providing talks at a federal level to help obtain support and funding, and its all looking reasonable at the moment, however the event today would definatley have had a positive effect. Seems fair to say there is Business, Council and State Govt support for the facility, just need some more federal support and should be all go!
  9. LOL steve WTF?
  10. Stol is right, the XE was the first to get coils all round, and the XF is definately coils on all 4 corners - no blocks required. Kings would be fine, or alternatively get a set of industrial springs - all around the same cost of ~$130 per pair. IF you are going to tow though, look at getting pump up rear shocks. That way when you have the weight of a car trailer on the rear, just pump up the shocks to lift the rear to a nice height. I had these on my XD and they were fantastic!
  11. Dump = 2"+ on an XF... 1.5 is a waste of time My XD I had when I was 18 (10 years ago! shudder) was 2" all round and sat nicely. Whitewalls dont suit, XF isn't old enough IMO. Car needs to be 70's to pull off redwall/whitewalls. People putting them on 80+ cars are just trying too hard. This is my XD with a 2" drop on 16x7 wheels: 17x8's would look much better
  12. ^ Really, as your his girlfriend AND your into cars, you would cost him so much I dont know how the hell he affords to drift! LOL
  13. XF's (up to EL acutally) require a close to +6 fitment to fill the guards with an 8" wide wheel (and that will be front only, rear requires a 9" rim) BA Wheels are often +35 so about a 30mm spacer will be required. But dont forget that they are 5x114.3 so same fitment as skyline - dont limit yourself to "ford" wheels
  14. Women cost more than cars in the long run, ALWAYS.... Once your married, the cost of ongoing jewelry upgrades is horrible compared to car upgrades!. eg. and the return "thrills" for a $3,000 ring will at best last a couple of weeks to a month, whereas a $3k turbo upgrade lasts for years at least!
  15. Will consider serious offers - new car is getting closer
  16. To achieve maximum government rebate (30%) you have to join a healt fund with hospital cover before you turn 30. For every year after you turn 30, the rebate reduces - giving you a higher premium. However if you join after 30, and remain a member for 5 years (I think its 5) the rebate increases back to the maximum 30% at the 5 year mark. Only prob with that is you pay extra for that 5 years! Also, it may be the tax issue I outlined above, that if you are earning over 50k per year, you are paying Medicare Excess (not just the levy) which you may as well be paying to a private health fund and getting coverage for.
  17. Also dont forget that if you earn over $50k per year ($100k couple) that the goverment then adds onto your tax bill the Medicar Surcharge (not just the levy). This can quickly add up to almost as much as private health, so you may as well have private health cover rather than just public for the same $$
  18. Yep, he can organise everything delivered to your door. He arranges shipping, customs, compliance and delivery all for you. Give him a buzz
  19. Darren: How quick do you need it? Kristian (Iron Chef) has a gray one with 18" BBS LMs in Jap ready to come to aus.... http://ironchefimports.com/site/index.php?...4&Itemid=30
  20. My wife and I have couples cover with SGIC - been good to us so far. Brooke gets new glasses every year, and has had physio etc. and we always seem to get reasonable refunds/minimal gaps. Pending what you think you'll use extras for try contacting some places, i.e. ring your dentist, ask them who gives the biggest rebates. Then compare this to their cost/month and work it out from there
  21. haha, riding coppers, gettting friendly with the law now darren?
  22. Got your SMS Cara, but sorry I wont be making it - have plans already
  23. Had a few test pilots, no-one seems serious as yet. Price is negotiable (within reason, not over 2k below asking price)
  24. Ahh, I was wondering why Kev would venture out to the ghetto So his Stagea (dream) would be getting closer
